Dave's Circumstances

“Jeslyn, sorry just came here, I just heard the news about Mr. Dave's accident from Dion.” Sarah walked over to Jeslyn, who was sitting in bed.

Jeslyn's daydream instantly froze after hearing Sarah's voice. “It's okay Sarah.” Jeslyn fixed her sitting position.

“Let me check you first. You look pale.”

Sarah's doctor began examining Jeslyn when she was already lying in bed. After getting a call from Dion about Dave's accident, Sarah heads straight to the hospital. Dion asks her to see Jeslyn's condition.

Sarah looked at Jeslyn for a moment. “I know you must be in shock with the news of your husband's accident, but you also must not neglect your health Jeslyn. Remember there are other lives inside your body.”

“I just can't think of another Sar. L'm.. I..”

Jeslyn was crying again. She could not continue her words if she remembered her husband's condition. Dave's critical condition makes Jeslyn forget the condition of his own body.

Sarah sat down on the chair beside Jeslyn while gently rubbing her shoulders. “I know this must be heavy for you. At least you should think of yourself too and your baby-to-be.” Seeing Jeslyn who looked very hit, made Sarah become pity.

“Looking at your situation like this surely you haven't eaten yet, right?” Jeslyn just nodded weakly.

“I'll order you food.”

“Thank you Sarah.” Sarah grabs the phone in her white coat pocket. He seemed to be typing something.

“I've ordered food for you. I'll have the nurse deliver him here. Do you feel nauseous or want to vomit?” Doctor Sarah asked again after she put the phone in her pocket.

“I just feel a little nauseous,” said Jeslyn quietly.

Doctor Sarah stood up. “I'll ask the nurse to put an infusion on you. I'll also give you some nausea relievers and some vitamins. You don't I'm allowed to leave the room as long as your body is still weak. You need to rest first.”

“Iyaaa,” says Jeslyn in low voice.

He did not dispute anything Dr. Sarah said. He felt that his body was also very tired and had no energy. Doctor Sarah leaves Jeslyn's room after she asks Jeslyn to lie down.

Jeslyn opened her eyes slowly. He looked at the wall clock. He tried to get out of his sleep. Time has shown at 8 am.

Jeslyn grabbed her phone that was on the nightstand. He wanted to contact Dion to ask about Dave's condition. When he opened his phone there was a message from his father-in-law, Dion and Sarah.

Jeslyn started replying to their messages one by one. After you have finished replying to the message. Jeslyn walked towards the bathroom to wash her face. Doctor Sarah deliberately asked the nurse to always monitor Jeslyn's condition. Several times the nurse came to Jeslyn's room to confirm her condition.

After washing his face and brushing his teeth. Jeslyn returned to bed. He sat down while leaning. On the nightstand was available breakfast for him who came from the hospital.

“You're up?” Jeslyn turned to the door. He saw Dion walking towards him.

“I just woke up Dion.” Jeslyn fixed her sitting position as Dion stood beside her.

Jeslyn snapped her head staring at Dion. “How are Dave, Dion?” Jeslyn was trying to keep looking tough.

Dion sat down on the chair beside Jeslyn. He took the bowl of porridge that was on the nightstand and then gave it to Jeslyn. “Eat first.” Jeslyn immediately received the bowl of porridge. “Dave is still not past its critical period, Jes. He was injured quite badly.”

Jeslyn's tears began to fall again onto her cheeks. The tears that she had been holding back immediately escaped when she heard the state of her husband.

“Dion, can I see him today?” Jeslyn wants to give Dave power. He hopes that his arrival will make Dave quickly go through his critical period.

Dion took a long breath. He seemed to be trying to stay patient. “You must get permission from Sarah first, to get out of this room. Moreover, your body condition is still weak.” Dion stared into Jeslyn's eyes. There was a look of disappointment on his face.

Jeslyn's body seemed stiff, he felt Dion's attitude was strange. “What are you..?”

Dion nodded. “I already know about your pregnancy,” said Dion quietly.

She felt her heart ache when she learned of Jeslyn's pregnancy. He thinks Jeslyn's relationship with Dave isn't very good. Dai thinks the possibility of getting Jeslyn is still there. He did not expect that Jeslyn was currently pregnant with Dave's child.

“I'm sorry Dion. I didn't mean to hide from you. I just don't want to worry you.” Jeslyn looks panicked when she finds out that Dion already knows everything. He was afraid that Dion would be angry with him.

“You've hidden 2 big things from me. Do you actually consider me your best friend or not?”

When thinking about the fact that Jeslyn was teasing something big again from him made Dion disappointed. He felt that Jeslyn was no longer in love with him.

“I'm sorry Dion,” said Jeslyn quietly while looking down.

Dion tried to keep looking ordinary. She doesn't want Jeslyn to feel guilty for hiding her pregnancy. “Spend your meal, chances are Sarah will come here any minute.”

“Thank you Dion.”

Dion nodded after that walking out of Jeslyn's room.

“Jeslyn you must not linger inside,” Dion's message as Jeslyn steps into the room where Dave is.

“Good.” Jeslyn stepped in leaving Dion outside the room.

Jeslyn slowly stepped into Dave's bed. She sat next to her husband. “Dave ... Wake up.. Why aren't you conscious yet? Build Dave ... I miss you so much.” Jeslyn kept talking to Dave. She also started talking about her pregnancy

“Dave actually what happened to you? Why did you get in an accident?”

Jeslyn felt something strange. Dave says he's going to his parents' mansion, but after hearing Dave's father's story that Dave never came to the mansion that night, made him think that someone was hiding Dave from him.

All this time Dave never lied to her, even though their relationship has not been as good as it is now. Dave nyendrung said what it was. “Dave, please wake up. Didn't you say you'd always be by my side until our son was born?” Her eyes were wet with tears.

“Wake up Dave,” says Jeslyn. “Do you not want to see the development of the baby in my stomach?” Jelsyn grabbed Dave's hand and stuck it on his cheek.

“I beg you to wake up Dave. I love you so much. I don't know how to get on with my life without you Dave.” All sorts of negative thoughts continue to haunt Jeslyn. Dai even had nightmares about Dave.

“Didn't you say you wanted to prove that the child in Felicia's stomach wasn't your son. Then get up. Prove me. So you can divorce her soon.”

Dave didn't respond at all to Jeslyn's remarks. There was only a sound coming from the monitor beside Jeslyn.

Jeslyn got up from her seat. She kissed Dave's cheeks and then briefly kissed his husband's lips. “I love you so much Dave, get up quickly! Your son misses you too Dave.” Jeslyn stroked Dave's cheek after which he walked out.

Dion was still faithfully waiting in front of the room. “It's done?” dion asked when he saw Jeslyn opening the door.

“Already.”

“I'll take you all the way to your room.” Dion walks side by side with Jeslyn. He walked slowly in Jeslyn's footsteps.

“Dion,” call Jeslyn while walking.

“What's up?”

Jeslyn paused for a moment then looked at Dion. “Can you find someone to investigate about Dave's accident?”

Forehead Dion shriveling. “Do you suspect something?” Jelsyn stepped back, followed by Dion. “I think someone deliberately harmed Dave.”

“Why can you think like that?”

“I just feel something is awkward. It's just my instinct. I hope this was purely an accident.”

Dion. “Alright, I'll get people to investigate.”

Dion opened the door of Jeslyn's room wide. She then walked into Jeslyn's room. “Receive kasinh Dion.” Jeslyn went back to bed.

“Can I ask you again?” Currently Jeslyn could only rely on Dion. Like when they were teenagers, Jeslyn used to ask for Dion's help.

“What?” ask Dion curious

“Can you investigate Felicia too?”

“Do you suspect he's the mastermind of Dave's accident?”

“That's not what I mean. I'm not sure that the child in the womb is Dave's. I want to find out the truth.”

Jeslyn could not just sit still without doing anything. Dai wants to find evidence of Felicia's lies while she waits for a DNA test on Felicia's womb.

“Good. I'll investigate.” Dion pulls up Jeslyn blanket, “break it. I'll let you know if there's anything important.”

“Iyaa, thank you Dion.”
