Dion walks into Jeslyn's room with Sarah's doctor. “Jes, wake up!” doctor Sarah said in a soft voice as they were in Jeslyn's room.

Jeslyn opened her eyes when she heard Sarah's voice. His eyes blinked to adjust the lighting that entered into his eyes. He saw the doctor Sarah and Dion standing on the right side of his bed. “You sure haven't eaten?” Dion put food on the nightstand.

Jeslyn woke up from her sleep and fixed her sitting position. “Iyaa.. I feel a little dizzy.”

“Your body is weak. You shouldn't have let go of your infusion just yet. Do you feel nauseous?” ask docte Sarah.

“Only a little,” replied Jeslyn briefly. Since hearing the news of Dave's accident somehow he felt his nausea reduced, not as bad as usual.

“Eat first Jes.” Dion opened the food he had brought.

“Dion how is Dave's condition?” Jeslyn ignored Dion's words. All he had in mind was Dave.

Dion breathed. “You should eat first. After that I just told you.” Dion gave Jeslyn food.

“Good.” Jeslyn did not want to follow Dion's words. He eats quickly. Dion and Sarah's doctor sat by Jeslyn's bed, waiting for her to finish eating.

“Jes, have any complaints you've been feeling lately?” Sarah seems worried about Jeslyn's condition. Besides being exposed to hypermesis news about Dave's accident also worsened the condition of his body.

Dion looked in Jeslyn's face. She still can't accept that Jeslyn is currently pregnant with Dave's child. All this time he knew that Dave had never loved Jeslyn. That's why she was so shocked to find out that Jeslyn was pregnant with Dave's child.

“Do you still take the medicine I gave you?”

Doctor Sarah stood up. “Alright, tomorrow we do USG again. I want to also want to check the condition of your fetus.”

“Iyaa.” Sarah walks out of Jeslynm's room leaving Dion and Jeslyn.

“I'm done eating Dion,” said Jeslyn while putting leftovers on the nightstand. “Now tell me, how is Dave's condition?”

Dion was silent for a moment. “Dave has been moved to the ICU. He's in a coma.”

Jeslyn felt like she was struck by lightning after hearing Dave's true condition. His body became stiff. His eyes began to glaze over. “You will know how Dave is, if you have seen his medical report later,” Dion continued.

The accident that Dave had experienced was severe. Luckily his life can still be saved, although it had experienced a critical. “The injury suffered quite badly Jeslyn. The intense bleeding experienced by Dave worsened his condition.” Jeslyn had only been silent from earlier, there were no words she was capable of saying .

“Dion.. Does Dave need to be referred to a Singapore hospital? There the treatment is better.”

“All depends on you, as his wife. If you're going to take him to Singapore, I'm going to find the best hospital and doctor for Dave.” He tries to stay professional as the doctor who handles Dave. As much as possible he suppressed his jealousy and dislike for Dave. Dion did that because he couldn't see Jeslyn grieving.

Jeslyn wiped the tears that she had just shed, down her cheeks. “Thank you Dion. I'll talk to my father-in-law later.”

Dion nodded. “Dion, I want to see Dave,” said Jeslyn weakly.

The two of them walked towards the ICU room with slow steps. Arriving there, Jeslyn sees Dave and Felicia's mother standing in front of the ICU room. They looked like they were chatting with serious faces.

Jelsyn approached her mother-in-law. “Maa..,” call Jelsyn in a weak voice.

Dave and Felicia's mother turned to Jelsyn. Dave's mother walked over to Jeslyn. “Plaaaakkk.” Dave's mother slapped Jelsyn. “Mrs.. What are you doing?” dion said in a high tone.

Dave's mother was angry at Dion. “You don't interfere in my affairs!”

Jelsyn holds the face of a former slapped mother-in-law. “Why did Mama slap me?” jeslyn asked with a trembling voice.

“You almost killed my son..! You saw Dave in a coma! It's all because of you! You son-in-law of a fucking carrier!” Dave's mother never stopped forgetting her emotions. He let out hurtful words for Jeslyn. She looks very angry when she finds out that her husband and daughter-in-law are hiding about Dave's condition. Luckily, he got a report from his spies in the hospital. So, he can tell about Dave's condition.

“It wasn't my fault Maa.. Dave is my husband. I don't want anything to happen with him either.”

“If you had just allowed Dave to stay with Felicia, this insensitivity wouldn't have happened.” Dave's mother feels very angry at Jeslyn, when she learns Dave has an accident. “Stay away from my son before you actually kill him. I only have one child, and you've made him almost die.

“Maa. I'm not gonna stay away from Dave. He is my husband. I wouldn't have left her if she hadn't asked me.” Jeslyn chooses to stick with Dave even though his mother-in-law continues to coerce and threaten him.

“If you don't want to stay away from my son. I won't allow you to see my son.” Dave's mother is determined to separate Jeslyn and Dave while his son is in a coma. If he's conscious, chances are Dave will be mad at him, so he's doing it now.

“Mama can't forbid me to see the state of my own husband.” Jeslyn tried hard to hold back her tears. She did not want to look weak in front of Felicia and her mother-in-law.

“I am his mother. I have the right to forbid anyone who wants to visit my son.”

“Mistress don't forget, that Jeslyn is his wife.”

Dave's mother looked at Dion. “Don't I tell you not to interfere in my affairs.”

“I am the doctor who handles your child. Do I need to shut up so your son can't get up again?” threaten Dion's. He's been feeling emotional since he saw Dave's mother's abusive treatment of Jeslyn.

Dave's mother laughed mockingly. “I can find another doctor. You think the Neurosurgeon Specialist is just you.”

Dion grinning. “Please find another doctor. Just so you know, I'm the best Neurosurgeon Specialist in this hospital, not a doctor who can handle your son but me. You will know that you have asked Mr. Adnan.” Dion could only threaten Dave's mother in that way. He could not bear to see the arrogant attitude of Jeslyn's mother-in-law.

There was a look of doubt on Dave's mother's face when he heard Dion's words. “I can't believe your words!”

Dion also knows that Dave's mother doesn't trust him that easily. “It's up to you Madam, believe it or not. But if you forbid Jeslyn to see her husband. I'll step back. I won't handle your son anymore.”

Dave's mother turned to Felicia who seemed to have just been quiet. “Fel, let's go.” Dave's mother pulled Felicia's hand gently. “Iyaa Ma.” Felicia stared intently at Jeslyn for a moment. After that, the two of them left behind Jeslyn and Dion.

Dion's mother didn't want to risk her son's safety. That's why he chose to leave Jeslyn and Dion.

Dion let out a long sigh while shaking his head, after the loss of both of them. “I really don't understand your mother-in-law's way of thinking.”

Jeslyn looked at Dion. “Dion, thank you for defending me.” Jeslyn is lucky to have a friend like Dion. He was always the one who was good to her.

“Already, better we go in.” Jeslyn nodded slowly, then the two of them walked inside the ICU room.
