Following Dave

Jeslyn has just come out of the bathroom aided by Maya. When he just got into bed. Not long after, the door of the room opened. Dave stepped in with a smile when he saw his wife sitting leaning against a pillow.

"Maya, leave us alone for a moment" Dave said as he sat down next to his wife.

Maya who was standing not far from Jeslyn's bed immediately nodded as she said, "Well, sir." Then out of Jeslyn's room.

"Tomorrow do you want to go home at what time?" dave asked while looking at his wife.

"Doctor Roby is going to check on me once again, so it's likely that noon will be home" Jeslyn replied.

Dave nodded. "This is your car key and house key. I told Zayn to drive your car to your apartment." Dave put 2 keys in Jeslyn's hand.

"I told you, I don't want to go back to that house again, Dave," Jeslyn refused, returning the keys to Dave's house.

Every time he remembered the house, bad memories came to him. There were too many bitter memories he had in that house.

Dave put the house keys back into Jeslyn's hands. "This is not the key to the old house. This is the house I built specifically for us to live in with our children later. I used to have you move into that house when I officially divorced Felicia, but it's not because you're adamant about staying in your apartment."

Jeslyn's forehead is wrinkled. "Why did you give it to me?"

"If you like, you can stay there. It's not too far from the hospital either, but if you don't want to stay there. I won't force you. You can keep this key, who knows you'll change your mind."

Jeslyn's forehead is getting wrinkled because she still does not understand the meaning of her husband's words. "I'm gonna stay in my apartment for a while, Dave."

"Yeah. That's up to you. Whatever makes you comfortable and happy, I will support all your decisions. "

"Are you busy tomorrow?" ask Jeslyn.

"Yeah. I have a lot to take care of. Maybe I can't pick you up. I'll ask Zayn to take you home."

"alright. What time are you home from work?"

"I don't know, why?"

"It's okay."

Actually Jeslyn wants to talk about the clarity of their relationship tomorrow, but seeing Dave seem busy, Jeslyn undoes his intention to talk to Dave. He decides to talk to Dave when he already has free time.

A lot of what he wanted to talk to Dave, including his backside attitude, wanted to impress Dave coldly. Jeslyn realizes that she may have been flirting with Dave after she miscarried. Therefore, he wanted to apologize while repairing their relationship again.

"Jeslynn. I'm sorry that all this time, I've been hurting you. I realized that during my marriage, I was the only wound I had given you. I wish you a better life after this" Dave said sincerely.

Hearing Dave's words, Jeslyn squinted her eyes. "What do you mean say that?" jeslyn asked with a suspicious look.

Dave tried to smile. "none. I just want you to live happily, Jes," replied Dave.

"Why are you acting like you're leaving?"

Dave stood up and grabbed his wife's body. "I love you so much, Jes. You should know that. I did ignore you once and I'm very sorry about that" Dave said, tightening his arms. He was trying to hold back the tightness in his chest.

Jeslyn looked confused. "Dave I can't breathe."

Dave immediately let go of his embrace. "I'm sorry" Dave said with a guilty face. "I have to go home, sorry I can't keep you company tonight. I still have a lot to do."

"Your office work isn't done yet?" asked Jeslyn with a surprised face.

"Yeah. Go sleep. It's already night."

"alright. Tomorrow if you're not busy meeting me" Jeslyn said.

"Hhmmm," Dave muttered as he nodded. "I'll go first."

Dion approached Jeslyn who was ready to go home. Jeslyn was sitting leaning. Maya already helped him pack up earlier so they'll be home soon. "Dave to where?" dion asked as he stood by Jeslyn.

"He's still in the office. He said he couldn't take me home. There's still a lot of work."

Dion's two eyebrows instantly helped. "You don't joke. He met me earlier, I saw him walking into your room too."

"I didn't meet him. He just called me. He said he couldn't drive me." Suddenly his feelings became unpleasant.

Dave did call Jelsyn and said that Zayn would take him home because he still had business. Dave also said some strange words to Jeslyn like parting sentences.

"But why did he lie to you?"

"Why did Dave meet you?"

"He left you to me and asked me to protect you. He told me to always be by your side no matter what. I asked him why he said that, he said that I was the only one who could make you happy. At first I felt strange why he said that. I meant to ask you, are you going to split up?" dion asked with a surprised face.

"Dave's words hint that you're not getting back together. He even forbade me to tell me if he came to see me" Dion said.

Jeslyn was getting restless. He just remembered Dave's strange attitude lately, when bad thoughts appeared in his head.

Suddenly the door was knocked from the outside, after which Zayn appeared from behind the door. "Excuse me Madam" Zayn said politely.

"Zayn, where's Dave at?" jeslyn asked with a serious face.

Zayn seemed a little hesitant when he wanted to answer Jeslyn's question. "I don't know, Madam. Sir said there was some business" Zayn lied.

"Zayn, don't lie to me" said Jelsyn firmly with a sharp eye, "Zayn, answer me honestly, where is Dave now?" jeslyn asked when she saw Zayn shut up, "i won't go home with you until you tell me the truth" Jeslyn said.

Zayn seemed to be silent and had no intention of saying anything to Jeslyn.

"Quick tell me. Where is Dave!" Dion clutched firmly the collar of Zayn's shirt which was still silent. Dion knew that Xayn must be hiding something from the two of them.

"On the way to the airport" Zayn replied in a soft voice.

"Airport? Where's he going Zayn??" asked Jeslyn with fused eyebrows.

"To France. Mr. Dave is going to move in and live there."

At once Jeslyn's body went limp after hearing that. His eyes were already glazed. "Dion, please take me to the airport."

"Free, Madam. You won't be able to catch up with him." Zayn then approached Jeslyn. "Mr Dave put this on me." Zayn handed over the map to Jeslyn.

With a quick movement, Jeslyn opened the map. There are 2 sheets of paper, Jeslyn directly read the 2 letters. Jeslyn's tears immediately shed after seeing the contents of the letter. His gaze was blank and his tears kept falling on his cheeks.

Seeing Jeslyn in shock, Dion immediately grabbed the letter in Jeslyn's hands and read it. Just like Jeslyn. Dion was also shocked by the letter in his hand.

This letter is a divorce papers that have been signed by Dave and the other letter is a letter stating that Dave has given ownership of the hospital to Jeslyn and gave half of his property to him Jeslyn as compensation for their divorce. 

Dave told Zayn to give the map after driving Jeslyn to his apartment, but due to Zayn's unexpected situation, he was forced to give the letter to Jeslyn.

"So, he had planned from the beginning to leave me?" asked Jeslyn with a pias face.

"He didn't even give me a chance to talk about our problems. In fact, I plan to improve our relationship" Jeslyn said in tears. "Why did he leave me without talking to me first?"

"What time does the plane take off?" dion asked while looking at Zayn.

"An hour away," Zayn replied quickly.

Dion glanced at the clock on his wrist that showed it at 13:20 Wib.

Dion then approached Jeslyn. "Do you want to go after him?" ask Dion.

"Yeah, please deliver me, Dion," Jeslyn pinta pleaded with a face.

"All right." Dion pulls out a wheelchair and lifts up Jeslyn's body.

"Take us to the airport" Dion told Zayn, "if you don't want to see them split up" Dion continued.

Zayn did not want Jeslyn and Dave to separate. He nodded immediately, then quickly stepped out of Jeslyn's room towards the parking lot along with Dion and Jeslyn.
