The Unvalue Gift

"Are you angry with me?" asked Jeslyn carefully.

Dave turned around and walked over to Jeslyn. "No dear. I just want to wash my face" Dave replied with a smile. Dave kissed Jeslyn's forehead before she walked into the bathroom.

There was guilt in Jeslyn's heart for rejecting her husband's wishes. After Dave got into the bathroom. Jeslyn wakes up from her sleep by wrapping her body in a blanket and then walking to the closet to look for clothes for her.

Jeslyn put on a shirt quickly after that she took a white box in the shape of a long square and was wrapped neatly containing a pregnancy test kit.

After picking up the box, she walks to bed while waiting for Dave to come out of the bathroom. Jeslyn's heart was pounding when she heard the bathroom door open. He exhaled a long breath and regulated his breathing. I don't know why he was so nervous at once.

"Dave" called Jeslyn when she saw her husband who had just come out of the bathroom.

Dave smiled and walked over to Jeslyn and sat right next to her. "What's the matter dear," asked Dave in a soft voice.

"I'm sorry." Jeslyn was still feeling guilty about her husband.

Dave rubbed his wife's cheek gently. "You're not wrong, honey. I should have controlled myself." Dave then stood up. "We better have breakfast first."

"Wait a minute, Dave." Jeslyn thrust the box in her hand before her husband. "This is for you."

Dave turned to Jeslyn with a frown. "It's a gift for you" Jeslyn said as she looked at Dave, who was staring in confusion at the box in his hand.

Dave, who was about to walk, sat down next to his wife. "Thank you, baby." Dave took the box that was in Jeslyn's hand.

Dave stared for a moment at the neatly wrapped box and there was a red ribbon tie in the middle of it. "Can I open it now?" dave asked as he lifted the box in his hand as if asking for approval from Jeslyn first.

Jeslyn nodded quickly with a smile. "Open up."

Impatiently Dave opened the box. When the box is open. Dave looked frowned at the long flat object in the box. He started grabbing the thing and flipping it. Dave was immediately smitten when he saw the object he was holding was a pregnancy test that showed two red lines that looked very clear.

Dave was stunned for a moment and was shocked to see the thing in his hand. "Dave." Jeslyn looks anxious to see Dave who is just silent while staring at her pregnancy test kit.

Dave was immediately stunned by his shock. He then turned to his wife. "You pregnant, honey?"

Actually Dave knows the meaning of line two that is in the pregnancy test tool. It was just that he wanted to hear straight from his wife's mouth.

"Yeah" said Jeslyn, nodding.

"really? You're really pregnant? Pregnant my son?" dave asked, patting his chest.

Dave still doesn't seem to believe what he's heard and seen. The news of Jeslyn's pregnancy was shocking to her. Although Stella had told him about the alleged Jeslyn was pregnant, but he was still surprised by the happy news.

Jeslyn nodded with a smile. "Yeah, there's your son in my stomach" replied Jeslyn softly with a happy smile.

Dave grabbed his wife's body. "Thank you, honey. Thank ye. This is the most precious gift I've ever received in my entire life." Dave hugged his wife.

She felt very happy because her desire to have her child finally materialized. She had long expected Jeslyn to get pregnant. "I didn't expect to get the gift I wanted the most after our wedding was over. I'm so happy, baby." Dave let go of his embrace and cupped his wife's face and gave a small kiss all over her face.

Jeslyn just smiled looking at her husband's behavior. He thought Dave disliked his surprise when he saw Dave seem speechless after opening the box he gave him. It turned out that Dave was just shocked and speechless for a moment.

"I'm also very happy Dave. I can finally carry your child again."

Dave recalled the moment Jeslyn molested him earlier. In fact, he could feel that Jeslyn also wanted the same thing as himself. He could see the reaction of Jeslyn's body as he gave a touch to his wife.

Jeslyn nodded slowly. "Yeah. I'm just afraid of anything happening with our son Dave, let alone we've been doing it from night till morning." Although Dave did it carefully and did not hurt her, Jeslyn still felt apprehensive.

"I'm sorry, honey. You should have told me straight away last night so I wouldn't touch you. I'd hold myself back if I knew I was pregnant, honey," Dave said with a regretful face.

Jeslyn wrapped her hands around her husband's waist while looking at Dave. "Yeah. I'm sorry Dave. I just can't bear to refuse you."

"I'd feel guilty if anything happened to our son, honey."

Dave was bemoaning his stupidity for not listening to Jeslyn Jeslyn when he asked her to open her gift first last night. She never thought that the gift Jeslyn meant was news of her pregnancy. He initially thought that Jeslyn had bought him something. Therefore, he thought the gift could be opened the next day.

"Then we have breakfast first, after that we go straight to the hospital. We have to know the condition of the fetus in your stomach" Dave said enthusiastically.

"All right." Jeslyn stood up and intended to step up but before that happened, Dave had already lifted his wife's body towards the sofa. "Dave, I can walk on my own."

"You can't be tired, honey. I haven't calmed down before I found out about our son's condition." Jeslyn finally complied. She wrapped her hands around her husband's neck so as not to fall.

Dave carefully placed his wife's body on the sofa. On the table there is a wide variety of breakfast menu for both of them. The meal, ordered by Dave, was delivered half an hour after Dave called to deliver breakfast to their room.

"What do you want to eat, baby?" dave asked after the two of them had sat next to each other.

"I want to eat that," pointed Jeslyn at the plate containing fried rice.

Dave immediately saw the plate that his wife was referring to. "Open your mouth." Dave pointed a spoon filled with fried rice near his wife's mouth. "I'll bribe you" Dave continued when he saw his wife's astonished face.

Jeslyn chuckled at her husband's behavior. "Dave, I'm pregnant, not sick. I can still eat by myself."

Dave shook his head many times. "Let me feed you, honey. I'll redeem my old fortitude."

When Jeslyn becomes pregnant for the first time, Dave is very sorry to learn too late about Jeslyn's pregnancy. She was also not next to Jeslyn in her difficult times as they were being faced with their divorce affairs. She feels very guilty when she knows that Jeslyn is weak because she is pregnant and has to live alone.

Jeslyn again felt guilty when he remembered about his first pregnancy. "Dave, it's not your fault. At that time, I also did not know that I was pregnant so you also did not know about my pregnancy. I was also wrong to think about not telling you about my pregnancy. I should have told you right away that I was pregnant with your son."

Dave placed the plate on his lap and stroked his wife's face. "Please promise to be always open, baby. Never heal anything from me. And vice versa. I'm not gonna hide anything from you."

Jeslyn nodded with a smile. "When did you find out you were pregnant?" Dave started spooning food into his wife's mouth.

"Two days ago" Jeslyn replied as she chewed on the food in her mouth. "I wanted to surprise you on our wedding day, but you didn't want to open it right away" Jeslyn said with a faint smile on her face.

Dave recalled a moment when he refused to open his card because he preferred to spend a long night with his wife. "I'm sorry, honey. I should have opened it first." Dave continued to reach out to Jeslyn cautiously.

"It's okay Dave. Most importantly, you already know."

"Yes, finish your food after that we go to the hospital."

"Yeah." Yeah."
