Mats... Geck... Mats... Geck... Mats... Geck…
Clangs of clockwork sounds compete with each other. The rumbling sound of lightning and lightning striking each other as if racing shows who is more reliable in accompanying the rain.
Laura sat down on the dining chair looking at some of the dishes she had prepared for dinner together with her husband. All the food went cold after a few hours.
“Why hasn't Mas Arsen come home yet? It should be at this hour he is home,” Laura said as she stared at the clock hanging on the wall.
Suddenly the sound of the door opening loudly and enter Arsenio into the house with a box that reads ‘PS5’.
Laura immediately walked up to her husband while saying,
“New home Mas?”
Arsenio put her still-wet umbrella in the corner of the room and took off her shoes while standing up so that her shoes were scattered in another direction. Then he walked in and answered his wife's question muttering,
"Mmmm…."
With a sigh of heaviness, Laura immediately tidied her husband's shoes scattered.
How long will he be like this? Similar to the boy who had just returned home from school, Laura said in her heart as she sighed again.
He walked in to check on the food that needed to be reheated.
However, she again sighed when she saw her husband was now busy with something.
Arsenio sat in front of the television with a carpet and was busy arranging the objects he had taken out of the box he was carrying earlier.
Laura's two hands clenched tightly and she clenched her upper and lower teeth to stifle her emotions that would overflow when she saw what her husband was doing.
Arsenio was still wearing her half-wet work shirt with her arms bent and tie removed in any direction, now busy removing items from the box that read 'PS5' earlier.
Laura's breath was hunting and her chest was going up and down looking at what her husband was doing. As powerful as he held back his anger that he felt would explode right then and there.
Feeling that someone was watching him, Arsenio looked towards his wife while saying,
"Why are you standing there? Come here. Lookatthis. I got this at a cheaper price than the original price. The owner just bought this a week ago. And he was in need of money for his college tuition, so he sold it to me. Still very good, right? It's a pity if I don't buy it."
Hearing the words of her husband who felt so innocent, with her light steps Laura approached her husband and said,
"Any good thing you said? Was Mas not aware that the money to buy this useless item could help the operating costs of Mother who is now being treated in the hospital? Yesterday Mas said that there was no money to help with my operating expenses, but what? This could even be to finance Mom's current operation as well."
Suddenly Arsenio's eyes were opened. She forgot that her mother-in-law was in need of money for her illness surgery.
"Sorry, I forgot. I don't have any money right now. You know for yourself, yesterday I paid off the rest of the installments of the house we occupy. And this I borrow from the savings for our son later," Arsenio said softly and smiled stiffly at his wife.
Laura grabbed the couch cushion nearby and smacked it on her husband.
Many times Laura smacked the sofa cushion against her husband's body so strongly to vent all her disappointment and anger at her husband, saying,
"Bad you Mas! You can touch the savings for our children! We promised not to touch the money until any time!"
Arsenio's hand tried to fend off every blow given by his wife. He tried to protect himself from his wife's rampage.
"I just borrowed it. I'll replace it. I must have replaced it. Believe me," said Arsenio in between the blows of his wife trying to hit his body.
After a while Laura beat her husband with a sofa cushion, she stopped her blow.
Laura's breath was panting and her chest moved up and down in rhythm with her hunting breath.
Laura threw the couch cushion over her husband and said,
"Give that thing back right now and ask for the money back!"
Blam it!
The door was closed by Laura. It seemed like all his anger was vented by him at the door of the room.
Arsenio tiptoed in shock at the sound of the door being closed so loud.
He gently rubbed his chest as he sighed many times to neutralize his heartbeat that was beating so fast from the shock of hearing the sound of the door.
Arsenio's eye turned to the game console he had just bought. He took a breath and said,
"How's this? I want it so badly. It's a pity if I have to sell it."
He thought about what he would do to secure his most recent gaming console and to assuage his wife's anger.
Feeling very uncomfortable with her half-wet shirt, she got up from her seat and stared heartlessly at her game console as she said,
"I'd better take a shower first, then I'll figure out how good it is."
Slowly open the door handle of his room. Unfortunately, the door was locked from the inside.
He sighed again, saying,
"Campus! Address sleeps outside me tonight."
With his heavy footsteps he left the front of his room and walked towards the laundry place to pick up clothes that had not been ironed by his wife.
Forced for this time he took a bath in the bathroom outside their room. His mind was not calm, he was still looking for a way to save his game console and also relieve his wife's anger.
After coming out of the bathroom, she felt very hungry. Open the serving hood that closes on the dining table.
"Everything is intact. It seems he hasn't eaten yet. Surely he was waiting for me to eat together" said Arsenio who stared hungry at all the food dishes available at the dining table.
Crew…
There was the sound of Arsenio's stomach wanting to be filled immediately.
His hand held his stomach which was feeling very hungry. He turned his attention away from all the food and looked at the door of his room. Then he said,
"I'd better get him to eat now. He must be very hungry."
He hesitantly knocked on the door of his room and said,
"Darling.we eat now. You must be very hungry. I'm also very hungry right now. Come out first, we'll eat together now."
In the room, Laura heard her husband's words on the knock of her door. He was holding his stomach which had been very hungry since then. Then he said,
"Well Laura, we'll eat first. Anger also needs energy. It's better to fill the stomach first and solve the problem after."
Laura got out of her sleep and walked towards the door of her room.
Chequek!
Arsenio's smile was made as sweet as possible to conquer his wife's heart.
Laura looked cynically at her husband and said,
"What's? I just want to eat the food I've been cooking with great difficulty."
Instantly Arsenio's smile faded and he walked behind his wife towards the dining room.
