Chapter 6: Bonuses

Arsenio looked in the direction pointed at by her partner. He was shocked to see his wife who was actually already there.

Arsenio immediately walked up to his wife, saying,

"Darling, did you actually come here?"

Laura gave her sweet smile to her husband and reached out her hand giving the food box she was carrying while saying,

"I'm delivering lunch to you, ma'am."

Arsenio's eyes sparkled while receiving the food box. He quickly hugged Laura's body and kissed her on the head.

He held out that little hug and watched it intensely bead his wife's eyes as he said,

"Thank you dear."

I don't know why Laura's heart was happy with the treatment from her husband. He recalled the early days of their marriage, where Arsenio's attitude was always sweet and never troubled him. 

Now, Arsenio's attitude has always been annoying for Laura, until she was at the point of wanting a divorce from her husband. Unfortunately Laura's wish did not occur, because now she is bound by a system that requires her to maintain her household.

Laura smiled sweetly and nodded her head at her husband in response to his thanks to her husband.

Laura suddenly remembered her promise to her director. She parsed a little of her husband's embrace and looked at the clock wrapped around his right hand. Then he said,

"I have to go now."

Arsenio scrunched her forehead, she was astonished by the sudden arrival of her wife and came home after giving her food.

"Now?" asked Arsenio with her gaze.

"Yes, now. I'm filming near here. So I'm going to stay here and go home tomorrow" replied Laura who appeared to be in a hurry.

"Wait, I'll take you, '" said Arsenio stopping Laura's steps.

There is no time, I would rather be ushered in by her, Laura said in her heart.

"Come on, hunted. I'm already late. My time is running out" Laura said in a hurry.

Arsenio nodded. He turned to his comrades and exclaimed,

"I'll stay a while!"

Laura boarded her husband's car and delivered to the set with gps.

Arriving at the set, Laura immediately ran after thanking her husband.

"Darling, call me later!" arsenio exclaimed in the footsteps of Laura who had run away from him.

Without answering her husband's call, Laura still ran towards where her director was at this time.

Laura faced her director with breathless breath and sweat pouring down her face and body.

Even his hair that had been neatly arranged, now became tangled and messy because it was exposed to the wind when Laura climbed the ojek several times earlier.

"Have you come?" the director asked after seeing Laura in front of him.

Laura nodded her head as she normalized her panting breath while saying,

"Already Sir. Sorry if I'm a little late."

Anto watched Laura from top to bottom. He shook his head as if he did not like Laura's current appearance. 

"Fix her performance and we start filming soon" exclaimed Anto, the director at Deborah, the makeup artist sitting not far from her.

Laura lowered her head to thank the director. After that, he immediately went to Deborah who was ready to make it back.

Arsenio looked at his frightened wife and looked down at her director. He doesn't like to see that. For him no one is allowed to scold his wife.

He would go down to see his wife and ask her about it, unfortunately the sound of the phone ringing from his cell phone made him undo his intention to come to his wife.

He immediately picked up the phone call that came from his co-worker.

As soon as you return sir, we will immediately start the meeting, a male voice from across there.

"Well, I'll be there right now" Arsenio told colleagues elsewhere.

After that he ended his phone call and immediately drove his car away from the place to get to where it was originally.

Laura was really very exhausted at the moment. He should keep smiling and look fresh in front of the camera.

The tired, exhausted and tiredness he felt did not prevent him from continuing to carry out his obligation to do what his director ordered.

Even his calves and soles were like numbness due to his excessive activity today.

Laura beat her calf while sitting resting that afternoon. He sighed as if there was a sense of tightness squeezing his chest.

"Why? Tired?" asked Anto who was already sitting near Laura while enjoying a glass of coffee in a disposable glass.

With her hand still banging her calf, Laura smiled in response to the director's question.

"It seems you have to rest. Your age is no longer young. While we need a presenter who is energetic and can be anything," said Anto who sounded uncomfortable in Laura's ears.

Why does he always tell me to stop? For sure she wants to replace me with a presenter younger than me, Laura said in her heart.

Laura smiled sweetly at the director without showing her frustration at the director and said,

"I am still strong, sir. I am also young and can do anything. Take it easy, I will definitely try to do my best for our event. Don't worry sir, I promise."

Anto sighed at her hearing Laura's extremely enthusiastic and excited speech. Without commenting anything, Anto got up from her seat and left Laura who was still sitting there.

He looked at the night sky that lay wide on the campground. Filming their event this time is indeed very fun because it is held outside the studio and the theme this time brings a very exciting camping event by presenting several artists who participate in the camping activity.

Laura sighed while looking at the stars that were twinkling beautifully.

He sat in front of his tent watching the afternoon sky turn dark into night.

Suddenly there was a phone ringing sound coming from his phone. He immediately picked up the phone for fear that the phone was about his job.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her husband's name on her phone screen as the caller.

Thankfully it wasn't them. I could relax for a moment before filming restarted, Laura said in her heart as her hand pressed the green button on her phone screen.

"Hello" said Laura, who had put her phone in her ear.

What are you doing, honey? ask Arsenio over the phone.

"I was looking at the stars in the night sky," Laura replied with a smile enjoying the beautiful stars flashing in the dark expanse of the night sky.

Can we meet? I miss you, Arsenio said from across the street.

Instantly Laura's heart pounded loudly hearing the word longing spoken from her husband's mouth. He remembered the times when they first formed love until the beginning of their marriage. Now the feeling is back.

"Emmm... Has Mas Arsen not come home yet?" laura asked a little nervously feeling the pounding of her heart growing faster.

I was waiting for you to come home tomorrow. I stayed not far from your place. Can I pick you up now? asked Arsenio who sounded shy on the phone.

Instantly Laura's heart felt very happy as the flowers bloomed there. Even his stomach was amused like many butterflies flying there.

"Alright, I'll wait," Laura replied with a shy smile.

After he ended the phone call. Suddenly there was an incoming notification heard from his phone.

Laura's eyes widened when she saw the nominal number in her account. 

"I really got a bonus from my mission today. If I always get a bonus, then I'll be faster to pay my mother's debts" Laura muttered with a happy smile.

She moved from her seat to wait for her husband at the entrance of the place. 

Suddenly his footsteps stopped. Then he said,

"About..what's the next mission?"
