Chapter 87: Laura's Request

"Open up and please sign it right now" Laura ordered firmly.

Arsenio took the brown envelope that was in Laura's hand. I don't know why his heart was so reluctant to open the envelope. It was just that Laura looked at him as if she ordered him to open it immediately.

With a heavy heart Arsenio opened the envelope and took the papers inside the envelope.

His eyes widened when he read the writing on the papers in his hand. A second later, the eyes became teary reading sheet by sheet of paper. His tongue was so twisted that he could not speak.

"Sign now, Mas. Here's the ballpoint pen," Laura ordered while giving the ballpoint pen she had provided.

Arsenio looked towards Laura. She tried to move her tongue and lips that were shaking so she could say her wish.

"Darling.I'm sorry. All your sacrifices I just learned from this message in your HP. I'm so sorry and I hope we'll be able to rebuild our family together with our son," arsenio said in a trembling voice as she showed Laura's cell phone she had taken from her wife's purse she had brought from home.

Laura's heart ached hearing her husband's words. He remembered his sacrifice all along. And all of that was a reason for her to get divorced from her husband.

"I'm sorry, I can't" Laura said in a trembling voice.

Laura immediately inhaled a deep breath of air and released the air so as not to feel tight in her chest.

"Sign now Mas" Laura ordered with trembling lips.

"No. No. I beg you not to do that, dear. I've regretted it and I promise to fix everything so that our household will be happy again as before" Arsenio pinta kneeled before his wife and looked expectantly at her.

"I can't. And I hope you do so soon. Sign the divorce papers and get out of the house immediately" Laura ordered, looking the other way.

"No Honey. I'm not going to divorce you. I–"

"Did Mas forget if he promised to obey all my wishes if I managed to help you cooperate with RAZ company? Nowisthetime. Keep your promise and I hope you will release me sincerely" Laura said without hesitation and looked seriously at her husband.

Arsenio's heart ached hearing his wife's words. Now he can no longer stop it. He could not refuse his wife's will either. All this was his fault and he had realized his folly. 

Ryan, who had been sitting quietly on the sofa, now walked closer to Laura and Arsenio.

"Sign the divorce papers, Mr. Arsenio, so that Laura will not be sad anymore. Free him from the suffering he has felt so that he can be happy with his own life. You take it easy because I will not cancel or ask for compensation for our cooperation. And it just so happens that our cooperation is over. So... can you sincerely release Laura for her happiness?" ryan asked, giving his gold-plated pen in front of Arsenio to sign the divorce papers immediately.

As if struck by lightning Arsenio heard Ryan's request that had absolutely nothing to do with her household. In his heart was angry and hurt. What else Ryan thrust the gold-plated pen to him to order him to immediately sign the divorce papers.

"Why are you interfering in our problems? And why are you always here? What exactly is your relationship? Is it because of you, Laura wants a divorce with me?" arsenio asked probing and looked hatefully at Ryan.

"Mas! Don't you associate Mr. Ryan with our problems! He just helped me. And we have no other relationship except the superiors and subordinates. So please watch your words!" sahut Laura with an unaccepting look at her husband.

Ryan smirked at Arsenio's question directed at him. Then he said,

Ryan's words made Arsenio even more inflamed. He clenched his hands together and looked at Ryan with a hostile gaze.

It was not only Arsenio who was shocked to hear it. Laura was shocked to hear what Ryan said about her. But he believes that Ryan is only bluffing Arsenio. He did not want to bother with the words of his boss.

"Hurry to sign Mas. Because that's your promise to me" Laura said with her tears dripping down her cheeks.

"But darling, I..–"

"I have always fought. It's like I ran to and fro to defend our household. I'm tired and I want to finish everything. Please release me. Untie me. Sign the divorce papers" said Laura with a trembling voice and a compassionate look at her husband.

Collapse is Arsenio's hope. He could not persuade his wife anymore. Everything that his wife said felt very piercing in his heart. All his wife's words were so true that they made him feel so guilty about her.

With a shaking hand Arsenio signed the divorce papers using the ballpoint pen that Laura gave her. He ignored Ryan with his gold pen. He was reluctant to see the happy face and triumphant smile of Ryan.

Without saying a word, Arsenio immediately walked out of the room with a broken heart. His world was completely destroyed at this moment. Even his footsteps were very heavy to step on.

Regret comes back in Arsenio. He regretted everything that happened in his life. Even he was reluctant to do anything at the moment.

He drove his car at high speed as if to vent all his anger on the streets. 

Braaaaac!

Arsenio's car hit the sidewalk so the front of the car was destroyed and part of the car climbed on the sidewalk.

Luckily his head could be saved by an airbag that still works very well. He was still conscious, only that he was in shock, so he just kept silent waiting for help from others.

Many people gathered to help Arsenio. They managed to get Arsenio's body out of the car and were rushed to a clinic that happened to be near where the accident occurred.

Nothing can make her heart happy. What is happening in his life now seems to come to him.

Arsenio was rescued and there were no serious injuries. Now he lay on the patient's bed and stared at the ceiling of the room blankly.

Suddenly the door of the room opened and a woman came in and said,

"Darling... Are you okay? What the hell is going on? Why is it like this?"
