Chapter 43: Ryan's Plan

Ryan's question of whether or not he could drive a car made Laura think he would be driven by Ryan.

However, he could not dodge it. He needs to be able to take Ryan's heart so that his boss likes how it works and also so that he can convince Ryan to work with the company where Arsenio works.

"I can drive the car sir" Laura replied firmly.

Ryan smiled and took the key in the drawer. Then he handed it to Laura and said, 

"Bring this car for you to go and get home from work."

Laura's eyes were opened. Really he did not expect if Ryan would give him a car as a facility in his work.

"Sorry sir, what is this for?" I asked Laura nervously.

"Is my speech still unclear?" ryan asked sternly as he looked at Laura and stretched out his hand to hand the car keys to Laura.

Laura's hand quickly took the car keys and put them in her pocket.

"I have a meeting this afternoon. You will have to come with me with Rendra. If there's anything you don't know, just ask Rendra" Ryan said as he opened the map on his desk.

"Okay sir" said Laura, lowering her head slightly.

"Yes, hurry back to work" Ryan said without looking at Laura.

Laura was dumbstruck, she was at a loss where to be at this moment. In Ryan's room there was a well-organized work desk, but Laura did not dare to sit in that place for fear that the place was not for him.

Ryan raised his head looking towards Laura who was still standing in front of him. Then he said,

"Why are you still standing here?" 

"Emmm... That's sir, sorry, where am I, sir?" asked Laura hesitantly.

Ryan who was staring at Laura immediately smiled at the question that Laura asked him. Then he pointed to the table in front of him and not far from his desk, saying,

"That's your desk."

Laura followed Ryan's direction. He smiled with relief knowing that the place that had been predicted as the place, was true.

Immediately Laura occupied the place that had been reserved for her. He deftly did what was prepared at the table.

Ryan glanced at Laura. He smiled at Laura who was seriously doing her job.

It seems I didn't choose wrong, Ryan said in his heart.

Just this time he shared a coworking space with women. But strangely he did not feel disturbed at all by the presence of Laura in his office.

Time passes very quickly. Now it was time to rest for lunch.

As Ryan's personal assistant, Laura is obligated to remind Ryan everything when he's in the office.

Laura walked over to Ryan's desk. He hesitated when he wanted to remind Ryan to have lunch, because Ryan was now focusing on his work.

"Emmm. Sir, sorry, it's lunch time now. Do you want to eat out?" asked Laura hesitantly.

Ryan stopped his job. He raised his head to look at Laura who was standing before him. Then he said,

"You're taking me out to eat?" 

Instantly Ryan chuckled at Laura's expression and heard her words. He was comforted by teasing Laura who was always nervous to answer him.

Laura felt strange and surprised to see Ryan who was famous for his flat face, indifferent and also always serious, now laughing in front of him. He smiled at Ryan who was still chuckling. Then he said,

"It turns out you can laugh too. That's dong sir, laughing. You must laugh often so as not to get old, sir."

Ryan's laughter subsided. He returned to his work saying,

"Please order food in the usual place. Message also to you because we will eat in this room."

Huh uh?! In the usual place? Where is that? Please honorable Mr. Ryan, if you give the order, love the provisions. Whether it is the supply of the place, what food should I order or also about the others, so that your personal assistant can quickly prepare everything, Laura grumbled in her heart.

"Well sir" said Laura in response to Ryan's words.

She walks out of the room and into Rendra's room to ask about Ryan's favorite food and the restaurant where Ryan used to order it.

Rendra tells Laura what Ryan's habits are. And of course the most important thing is that Rendra delivers a restaurant that Ryan usually orders.

Rendra ordered the food over the phone in his office. She smiled proudly for being able to help Laura who she thought should still be given an example by her.

"I'm sorry Mr. Rendra, Mr. Ryan told me to order two servings" Laura said hesitantly.

Instantly Rendra's forehead shriveled. He can't digest the others. In his heart he said,

Ryan has been eating alone in his room. And now he orders two servings. What does this mean?

"Two servings? What's for?" asked Rendra who looked very curious.

"Said Mr. Ryan to me," Laura replied innocently.

Suddenly, Rendra felt something strange. A few years they have always been together, and a Ryan Arion Syahreza who never invited her to eat together in his room, now decides to have a meal together with Laura, his personal assistant.

He looked at Laura and watched her from top to bottom like a person who was judging someone's appearance. Then he smiled and said,

"It seems my hunch is right."

Laura felt uneasy with Rendra who looked at her with an unusual gaze. What else did he say something that he did not understand.

"What does Father mean?" laura asked Rendra who was still smiling meaningfully.

Rendra returned to work, saying,

"No. There's nothing. Go back to Ryan's room. He must be waiting for you right now. And for lunch, there's no need to worry. Someone's gonna have to send him to Mr. Ryan's room soon. Just wait in there."

Laura scrunched her forehead. He felt strange about the current situation. But soon enough, that feeling was. He did not want to think about things that only complicated his mind.

"Okay sir, thank you. Excuse me first" said Laura, lowering her head slightly.

After that, he walked out of the room and walked back to Ryan's room.

Rendra chuckled at Laura who was already out of her room. He again contacted the restaurant and added his order, according to Ryan's request. Then he said,

"Ryan... Ryan... What is your real plan?"
