Chapter 79: The Loss

Rendra tells Ryan about Arsenio's work and he has seen Arsenio's work.

"Alright, just agree to everything even if there are flaws. I no longer want to be in touch with the company after this partnership ends" Ryan told the person on the phone.

Before the phone call ended, the doctor who had operated on Laura approached Ryan and said the results of the operation. And Rendra heard it all from the phone that they still haven't ended.

The operation? Ryan, who's in surgery? What the hell is going on? Where are you now? asked Rendra who sounded very anxious and curious.

"Laura is in the hospital. He just finished surgery. So, please take care of the office matters as long as I'm not there yet. If there's anything that needs my approval, just call me" Ryan replied quickly.

After that Ryan immediately turned off his phone call without waiting for Rendra to say anything to him.

Ryan follows Laura who is being moved to the VVIP room Ryan has prepared for her. In that place also doctors conduct supervision after the operation is done.

The room is so spacious and luxurious it feels very comfortable for the patients who inhabit it. And so did Laura. He wouldn't have been able to inhabit that very expensive room if it wasn't for Ryan paying for it.

Laura could not help her cries and sadness after the doctor explained everything to her. She blames her insensitive self and does not feel the presence of her baby all this time in her womb.

The one that made Laura angry and disappointed the most was Arsenio. The father of the baby she was carrying was very disappointing. Laura's tears came back when she remembered the events that had happened in her room.

Really too you! You are so evil! You killed our son! You murderer! Laura cursed Arsenio in her heart with her tears flowing down her cheeks.

Even now you are not by my side. Ah... What do I expect from him? Wouldn't he rather be together with that shameless woman? After all I was not sure if I could see her face at this moment, Laura again said in her heart with her tears in her eyes.

"Laura, I'm so sorry. But I hope you do not constantly dissolve in your grief. The Laura I know is a strong, tough and great Laura. Be that Laura forever. I'm sure you'll be a great mom for your child" said Ryan, who tried to calm and encourage Laura.

Laura's tears were still on her cheeks. He still felt that sadness. The sense of loss is still felt. Even the guilt still haunts him.

"I am very grateful to you. Sorry for bothering you. And for the hospital fee you've paid, just cut it from my paycheck for a few months until it's all paid off" Laura said with her lips trembling with tears.

Ryan stepped up from his seat. He stood near Laura and said,

"The cost issue you should not worry about. These are all facilities of the company for its employees. So you don't have to replace it."

Laura wiped her tears and tried to ease her cries. Then he said,

"But sir, it must be a very large number. There was no way an ordinary employee could receive this kind of facility from the company."

"You're my assistant Laura. And you deserve all of this from the company. Don't think about all this. Just focus on your recovery" said Ryan, who was staring intently at Laura.

Laura nodded her head while thanking her boss. While Ryan, he looked compassionately at Laura who always had to fight in her life. Unfortunately happiness is not on his side.

"What's really going on? Are you pregnant with your boss's son, huh?" 

Suddenly Laura looked at her husband with her overflowing anger. Even her tears were dripping back unstoppably. She was disappointed in her husband who had betrayed her. And now her husband has twisted the facts by accusing her of cheating on him with his boss.

"Bad you Mas! You murderer! You're the one who made me lose our son!" laura exclaimed with great emphasis accompanied by her tears rushing down her cheeks.

*what? Our kid? You... You said our son?" asked Arsenio who looked puzzled at this moment.

"Now you accuse this child of being the son of someone else. Too you Mas! I hate you..hate it!" said Laura with a choked voice and her lips quivering withholding her cries that were accompanied by the roar of her tears.

"My boy?" asked Arsenio by showing her confused face.

Ryan grabbed a large brown envelope from the table in the room. Then he gave it to Arsenio and said,

"Look and read it carefully. It was written clearly the age of Laura's womb at the time of her miscarriage. And you need to know, we are often together, but it is only because of work. Laura does have to accompany me every work because she is my personal assistant, nothing more. I don't expect you to believe my words. But at least you know the truth."

Arsenio opened the brown envelope containing Laura's medical report. There is written the age of Laura's womb which is not possible if the child is the result of his relationship with Ryan because Laura is only about a month working with him. While in the report written the age of the womb Laura has entered the age of six weeks.

Arsenio's body felt limp without bones. Even his legs at this moment could not be moved. Tears trickled in imagining the child whom they had been waiting for his presence, now had gone unnoticed his presence all this time in the womb of his wife.

"Darling.I'm sorry..," said Arsenio with her tears dripping from where she stands today.

Laura's heart ached at the tears of her husband who was apologizing to her. She hugged her husband to strengthen each other. 

However, the look on Laura's face looked hateful when she saw the figure of the woman she hated the most. The woman walked into the room with her big smile as if to mock her and be happy for her victory.

Kessy walked over to Arsenio and grabbed her arm to hold her, saying,

"What's the matter, honey?"

Ryan stared in disdain at Kessy and Arsenio. He wanted to expel the couple, but he had no right to expel them.

"Go! Get the fuck out of here! I don't want to see you guys anymore! Just go! Go!" laura exclaimed with all her might accompanied by the roar of her tears that were so rushing down her cheeks.

Arsenio immediately threw Kessy's hand. He walked up to Laura to calm her down and beg her for mercy.

"Stop! Don't come any closer! Go!" laura exclaimed with her eyes full of hatred towards her husband.
