Chapter 83: Free from the bonds of the system
A well-dressed man in his suit approached Ryan who was talking to Rendra.
*Sorry sir if I interrupt your conversation. I was just in a hurry because Mr. Ryan was waiting for me" the man said.
Ryan looked at Rendra as if asking her about the person who was now standing in front of them.
"Sorry, who are you?" ask Rendra to replace Ryan ask him.
The man stretched out his hand and said,
"I'm Dawn of Bank ABX."
Ryan immediately shook the man's hand and said,
"I'm Ryan. Come with me into that room."
Rendra was about to move following them to get into Laura's room, unfortunately Ryan stopped her.
"You'd better get back to the office."
Rendra sighed. He cannot refuse Ryan's orders even though their relationship is not just a boss with his subordinates.
"Later I'll tell you," whispered Ryan in Rendra's ear as she learned of Rendra's disillusioned look at her.
Suddenly, Rendra's lips curved upwards. He patted Ryan's arm saying,
"All right, I'll wait. Now I'm going back to the office."
After Rendra's departure from the place, Ryan invited Fajar, as a representative of the ABX bank, to enter the room to meet Laura.
In the room, Ryan says that Laura is being hit and her cards are missing. Therefore he wants to block the old card and wants to make a new card.
Dawn immediately helped Laura process everything. After the process is complete, Dawn helps Laura to access her savings account on mobile banking on Laura's new mobile phone.
After a while, there are other banks who come for the same business. Dawn that happened to have finished his business immediately said goodbye to leave the room.
The other bankers did the same with Dawn. They deliberately brought a new debit card along with an edc machine to activate the card. All thanks to Rendra who said all Ryan's wishes in detail, so that at that time all new debit cards could be in Laura's hands.
"Thank you sir for all your help. Everything will not be resolved as soon as it is not for the help of the Father," Laura said with a sweet smile to Ryan.
"This is my job as your boss. Not only you can always help me, I can help you Laura, too" Ryan said, intending not to make Laura feel sorry for her.
"Stay sir, all your help is not worth my work so far. I. mmm. I thank you very much, Father," said Laura with a face of embarrassment and condolence.
"I told Laura. Don't you think about it. I just want you to focus on your recovery. And for your divorce... Are you really going to do it?" ryan asked with a bit of hesitation.
Laura sighed which sounded very heavy. But he already intends to do the divorce. With a heavy heart he said,
"I really mean it, sir. I was tired and could no longer stand by his side. My determination is already unanimous to divorce her."
There was a glimmer of happiness in Ryan's chest. He didn't dodge that. But he can't say it for now.
"All right, I'll help you. Actually I ordered my lawyer to make divorce papers for you and your husband. It seems to be so now. Do you want to see it?" ryan asked Laura.
Laura smiled widely with the twinkle of her happy eyes implied on her face. He also said,
"Can I see him now sir?I want to get away from the suffering I've been feeling."
Laura widened her eyes hearing what Ryan was talking about right now. In that still shocked state Laura said,
"Is that exactly the process behind his name, sir?"
Ryan smiled and nodded his head as he said,
"As you heard. Everything was sorted out in just a few hours. Therefore, do not hesitate to ask for my help so that all your problems can be quickly resolved and you do not have to think about it anymore."
"Thank you Sir. I don't know who would help me if there were no Father. And all this could go well because of the help of the Father. I'm really grateful to you for everything you've done to help me" Laura said earnestly and her eyes on Ryan gave off a feeling of happiness.
Ryan smiled and sat down on the sofa in the room. Laura was saddened by Ryan's faithful presence waiting for her like a husband waiting for his sick wife. Until sometimes Laura is wrong if they are both silent and there is no material for their chat.
Suddenly Laura's phone was ringing. Seen on the screen of the phone Ryan's name is without the frills of the boss and the company that accompanied his position, as Laura gave the name on his old phone.
Laura looked towards Ryan who was also looking at her and smiled at her.
"That's my number. If you need anything, you just call me" Ryan said, showing his phone.
Laura smiled and nodded her head in response to her boss's remark. Then he said,
"Didn't you come home? Sleeping in the hospital is uncomfortable. Anyway I can take care of myself sir."
"You kicked me out?" ryan asked without answering Laura's question.
"No. No Sir. Where I dare to expel Father. I just don't want you to get tired of waiting for a subordinate like me" Laura said quickly.
Ryan chuckled at Laura's words. Then he said,
"At home, I was alone. It is better that you share your story with me. You will be out of this hospital soon. And my duty as your helper will be over by then."
Laura smiled at Ryan's words. He nodded his head to justify calling Ryan to himself, saying,
"My father was really my helper."
Laura suddenly remembered the balance in her account. He immediately checked his mobile banking to make sure the mission prize money and bonuses.
His eyes twinkled and his lips curved upwards seeing the balance in his account actually add up. In his heart he said,
It's all done. I was free from the bond of the system. I will let go of everything and try to find the happiness of my own life.
"Laura, what's wrong? Is there a problem?" asked Ryan who had noticed her from where she was.
Laura was flabbergasted, she misbehaved as if she was being caught doing something.
"No-no Sir. It's just that I'm thinking of something" Laura replied nervously.
"What about the place to stay? I've thought about it. What if you stay in–"
Krieeet…!
The door of the room opened and revealed a familiar person walking towards him. With teary eyes and a trembling voice the person said,
"Laura…."
