Chapter 55: Trust

According to Ryan's orders, Laura always leaves earlier than her boss. He did not want his chance to work there to just disappear because of his delay.

How he's not worried and afraid of losing his job, Ryan, his boss always comes on time. In fact, often he was a few minutes before his usual arrival hour.

Laura felt that her life seemed to run all the time. He always felt struggling and sometimes there was a sense of tiredness that went with it. 

But all of that has to be done. He must keep fighting until his goal is achieved.

"For Sir" said Laura as Ryan walked into her room.

Ryan gave his sweet smile to Laura who was welcoming him. Wordlessly, Ryan immediately sat in his chair and did his job.

As for Laura, she immediately walked out of the room without waiting for an order from Ryan to make her coffee according to her taste.

Ryan is the kind of guy who is indifferent and does not say much. So Laura has to be more sensitive to him. And luckily, from the beginning Laura made him coffee, the taste of the coffee was in accordance with Ryan's taste, so Laura did not need to find out about the taste of the boss' coffee.

While Laura was in the pantry, the phone on her desk rang. Ryan stared at Laura's desk as if to figure out the source of the sound.

Annoyed, Ryan immediately approached Laura's desk. She stared at Laura's phone screen as it rang and the screen lit up, revealing Arsenio's name as her husband on the screen.

Curious, Ryan's hand moved to pick up the phone and answer a call from Arsenio.

Honey, how about that cooperation? Is there a bright spot?

Arsenio asked about something without saying hello first.

Ryan's forehead shriveled. In his heart he said,

Cooperating? What cooperation?

Did you tell your boss about the company I worked with the company you worked for? If you can, please hurry up, dear. I'm counting on you.

Arsenio's words made Ryan understand what happened. Soon Ryan ended the phone call and he immediately sat back in his chair.

He did not expect that his thoughtless actions made him know what was really going on.

Just a few seconds later, Laura came into the room with a cup of coffee for Ryan.

Laura put the coffee on the table and smiled at Ryan, saying,

"Please buy the coffee."

Ryan looked at Laura and nodded his head and said,

"Thank you."

Laura walked back to her desk. Ryan still looked at Laura with his mind filled with questions.

Laura's phone rings again. Laura was shocked to hear the ringing of her cellphone on her desk. He immediately took the phone and immediately turned off the phone call. 

With her fearful face she faced towards Ryan who was also looking at her. Then he said,

"Sorry sir, I forgot to turn off his voice."

Without saying anything Ryan turned his eyes back to the papers before him.

After that Laura immediately changed her cell phone settings to silence. Even he tuned it without shaking so Ryan wouldn't be distracted.

Ryan smiled faintly at Laura who did not answer the phone call. In his heart he said,

I can't believe that Laura has such intentions for me and this company. If he really intended to do that, then he had been approaching me from the very beginning.

I'll find out the truth.

Time passed too. Ryan is really focused on his work. What's more he just did a cooperation with Starlight company. He did not want to delay his work, so he decided to have lunch in his room.

As usual, Laura prepared Ryan's lunch. He ate with his boss in the room.

After such a fast time passed, Ryan looked at the clock that was coiling in his right hand. Then he closed the map in front of him and said,

"Laura, take me home. My driver is idle."

Just look at Laura's eyes. He felt strange about Ryan's orders this time. But he could not ask or refuse. He could only obey all the orders of his boss.

After Ryan neatly arranged everything on his desk, he immediately got up from his seat and walked towards the door.

Laura hurriedly followed Ryan. They walked together into the elevator that was devoted only to the company officials. And after getting out of the elevator, they walked together to the car park used by Laura.

Now they are both in Ryan's car, which Laura carries every day.

Laura, who was in the driver's seat and was holding the steering wheel, glanced to the side, where Ryan was sitting in the passenger seat next to her.

Why is he sitting here? Why not sit in the back? If he wants to sit in front, why isn't he driving? If it was like this, I would definitely be nervous driving this car, Laura said in her heart.

Ryan understood that Laura was glancing at him. He was just a fool and leaned his head against the chair, and closed his eyes saying,

"Don't mind me. Just relax and don't speed. I still want to live."

Just let Laura run the car immediately. He cursed his folly and said in his heart,

It seems he knows what's on my mind. And she must have known I was glancing at her.

Very carefully, Laura drove her car to the address Ryan gave her.

The car stopped right in front of a very large building and looked very luxurious with a high fence guarded by several security officers who were inside the security post in front of the house.

"Sir, I'm sorry, is this really the house that corresponds to the address?" laura asked hesitantly as she looked at Ryan who was still closing his eyes.

Ryan's eyes were open. He immediately removed his seat belt and his hand pressed the horn on the car.

Two security guards at the security post rushed to open the gate for them.

"Enter the car," Ryan ordered as he sat back comfortably in his chair.

Laura immediately put the car into the yard of the house. He looked at the amazement of the building in front of him. Even the courtyard of the house was more than just spacious for him.

"Follow me inside" Ryan ordered as he opened his car door.

Laura's confused face at this moment. But he realized that he had to obey all the orders of his boss.

Laura quickly got out of her car and walked into the mansion following Ryan.

Ryan stopped his steps while in the living room. He faced back where Laura was standing behind him. Then he looked at Laura and said,

"We're having dinner now."

Instantly Laura widened her eyes. He felt that it was too much to have dinner together at his boss' house. In contrast to eating out that reasoned with work.

"W-what? Dinner?" chirped Laura with a shocked expression.
