Chapter 25: Being a substitute

The sound from inside the toilet made Laura want to find out more about the woman.

That cry of anger invited Laura's curiosity. She was curious about the woman's identity and the woman's relationship with her husband.

But that was all he heard. The woman now walks out of the toilet. Luckily Laura who quickly walked away from the front of the toilet, so that the woman did not know the presence of Laura who had heard the cry of hatred for Arsenio.

Laura is now sitting in front of her husband. Now he was more alert and unwilling to dissolve in his feelings. She will find out about the woman and her relationship with her husband in her own way.

"Good night Arsenio, can I join you here?" asked the woman who suddenly surprised Laura and Arsenio.

Arsenio was surprised to see the woman who had been with him, now coming back to see him.

Arsenio looked towards his wife who was watching the woman. Then he said,

"Dear to meet you, this is Kessy, my friend."

Laura smiled and extended her hand at the woman and mentioned her name,

"Laura."

The woman shook Laura's hand and said,

"Kessy, Arsenio's ex-boyfriend."

The deg!

Laura knows the facts. Kessy, the woman is Arsenio's ex-boyfriend.

It was fitting that he behaved like that, it turns out they had been dating. But, have they been in contact all this time? So, what were they talking about at this table? I want to know. I need to find out, Laura said in her heart.

Suddenly Arsenio's face turned nervous. She stared intently at Kessy who was presumptuously saying their relationship before Laura.

"That was before. Why are you talking again? We have nothing to do with it, so you don't have to say that to anyone else" Arsenio told Kessy, staring intently at him.

Laura did not comment on anything. She only notices the conversation between her husband and the woman claiming to be her ex-boyfriend.

Kessy smiled flirtatiously at Arsenio and rubbed her back while saying,

"Despite anything new, I'm sure nothing will ever replace my position in your heart."

"Sorry Kessy. You better find another table. We were enjoying dinner together. And I hope you no longer interfere with our togetherness" Arsenio firmly told Kessy and threw Kessy's hand off her back.

Kessy looks angry to hear the words from Arsenio. He wanted to be between Arsenio and Laura to bother them. It is undeniable that Kessy has often contacted Arsenio to ask her to meet. He wants to be with Arsenio again.

Seeing Laura's smile at him, Kessy grew annoyed. Laura's smile was as though mocking to him.

Kessy left the two of them with anger stored in her heart.

I am a Kessy who will never give up before getting what I want. Just look at it later, Kessy said in her heart while walking with her anger that she could still hold back.

Laura looked at her husband who looked so tense. Even her smile looked fake in Laura's eyes. The atmosphere that was once so romantic, now became a little awkward. 

"Darling, sorry if he interrupted our dinner. I don't know if he's here" Arsenio said, staring intensely at Laura with an apologetic look and holding Laura's hand on the table.

I don't know Mas, I still don't know what happened, so I don't know if I can forgive you or not, Laura said in her heart while smiling bitterly at her husband.

Arsenio felt that his wife behaved differently after Kessy's arrival. He twisted his wits so that his wife did not suspect him.

Instantly Laura remembered her mission which was located at the top. Then he said,

"Can I?" 

Arsenio smiled happily to see his wife enthusiastic with her invitation.

"Of course it's a pity" replied Arsenio while rubbing his wife's hand.

Laura's eyes sparkled because remembering the same place as her mission would make it easier to work on it.

"But Mas–"

"If they don't allow you, just get out of that team and ask the other team. If you can't, just resign. It would be better if you weren't too tired so that we could quickly have offspring" said Arsenio who thought Laura was asking about her work.

Laura smiled at her husband's decision. In his heart he said,

I was just going to ask permission to take a walk so I could run my mission. But.. If your decision is like that, I will tell him if from tomorrow I resign from my job.

Arsenio felt that his wife had forgiven him. He no longer needed to explain his relationship with Kessy to his wife.

That night Arsenio took Laura to all the places that became their memories. No doubt if the memories back make them feel like repeating their good times.

Dissolved into those fond memories, Laura and Arsenio do back all their activities like back then.

The feeling came back so they forgot everything.

The next day Laura got word from Deborah. She wanted Laura to replace her to become MUA on the filming that was done at the top.

Deborah suddenly told Laura because she had just learned the news about her departure from the show she guided. And Deborah was convinced that Laura could do it, because she was the one who taught Laura to put on her makeup every time they had free time.

Without thinking, Laura agreed to Deborah's request. He got the location address of the filming from Deborah.

That morning Arsenio deliberately took Laura to go with him to the location they would come to without stopping by first to his office.

He told his team he would meet them on the set.

Arsenio didn't waste a chance. He invited his wife to enjoy the beauty of nature in the area.

Laura agreed, because she got a message from Deborah about the time of Laura's arrival to become MUA at the location she had been told it was still a few hours away.

After a while, Arsenio's team came. Laura asked her husband for permission to pick up something in the car. But that was just the reason, actually Laura wanted to find out the location that Deborah had given her. 

Laura sighed in lethargy when she found out that the set intended by Deborah was the set where Arsenio was filming this time. And the thing that makes him back lethargic is the artist who will be in his makeup is Rena, the woman who always sticks to Arsenio.

"Huuufffttt... What am I going to do now? It's only fitting that I think if the mission this time is too easy, it turns out that there is no mission that easy," Laura muttered with a very heavy sigh.

Suddenly right in front of him was the object that always gave him the mission. 

Laura's eyes widened to see the writing that was written there.

"What's? How can I do it so easily without preparation?"
