Chapter 84: Revenge in an elegant way

The man with the grieving face walked over to Laura who was still in the patient's bed.

"Laura…."

"Darling…."

The man's voice shuddered revealing his sadness. 

Laura was silent, not flinching. She just looked at the man who was still her husband in dislike, just like yesterday.

"Mas, I want to talk" said Laura.

Arsenio felt a little relieved that Laura was already willing to talk to her. However, he felt something strange from his wife's gaze. And he also felt an ominous aura at this moment.

Arsenio stood by the bed of the patient Laura was still there. He also asked,

"What's up Laura? Is anyone sick?"

"Punish me Mas" said Laura without looking at Arsenio.

"W-what? You...you're kidding, right?" arsenio asked Laura as if unsure of her hearing.

Laura sighed at her hearing her husband's words which required her to repeat his words.

"I'm tired already. I've been tired of fighting alone all this time for our household. Now. divorce me. I want to escape from all this torture," Laura said in a trembling voice and held back her tears slightly.

The world of Arsenio was shattered. He had just lost a child whose presence was unknown. After that, he lost his mother. And now he has to lose his beloved wife just because of his own fault.

"What do you mean?" arsenio asked with her voice weakened and slightly quivering.

"Take me off Mas. I. I can't take it anymore. Divorce me and live happily with your chosen woman" Laura replied with tears in her eyes.

Hearing his wife's words and his heart-wrenching cry, Arsenio immediately grabbed his wife's hand and knelt before him saying, Arsenio immediately,

"No dear, I don't want to let go of you. I don't want to divorce you. I don't want to part with you. I want to always live with you. Please don't say that. We fix it from the beginning and live happily with our children."

Laura threw her husband's hand. He shook his head accompanied by a sobbing of his cries which again sounded heartbreaking. 

"No. I can't hold it anymore. All this time I've always fought alone for our household. And what did I get? I'm so tired. I'm hurt by everything you do. All this time my heart was tormented holding everything. I want to run away from reality. Butwhat? I was faced with a new reality that made me even more tormented. So.. so I beg you to release me." said Lauran with a trembling voice and a little choked with the roar of her tears.

Arsenio would not give up. He was still trying to get his wife's forgiveness. He again grabbed his wife's hand and said,

"Darling. Please don't do this. My mother just died. I'm late to pay for all the administration and operating expenses so mom can't be operated on."

Instantly Laura was surprised and looked compassionately at her husband. He could feel that pain. The pain of guilt as a child that could not help his mother.

"I felt what you felt at that time. Forgive me for not being able to worship your mother. Now I feel like I received the same karma when I lost my mother. Everything you felt when you lost your mother, right now I feel it too. I'm sorry.I'm sorry, honey, I promise I will correct all my mistakes" said Arsenio, who struggled to get forgiveness from his wife.

Laura pulled her husband's hand back and said,

"Sorry, I can't. My decision is round. And I've decided to sue for your divorce if you don't want to divorce me."

"No. Don't. I will keep you as my wife. I don't want to lose you. Understand…."

"What should I understand, Mom? You're selfish! You tell me to stay patient and persevere so that I may suffer more and more? Just know, Mas. The savings we have accumulated so far for our children later, are now used. It turns out that savings are really for our children. I used the savings to cover up for our child's miscarriage" Laura said with tears in her eyes remembering her child who had been unnoticed for so long in her womb.

Arsenio gasped at the words of his wife. He never thought if the savings money was really useful for his son. Unfortunately for the cost of their child's death, not for the cost of growth and development or educational costs such as their initial plan.

Laura rubbed the rough tears on her cheeks which presumptuously came out wetting her cheeks. Those brazen tears made her look weak in front of her husband and she didn't like that.

Arsenio's body is getting weaker. He could only kneel down and had no strength to get back up. His world was completely destroyed instantly. Everything he's been doing all this time as if it's gone is not left for him.

Ryan could only stare at the destruction of an Arsenio in the room. Arsenio, who had been very confident, now felt very small and intangible in front of Ryan.

A very authoritative Ryan is very reluctant to interfere in the affairs of others. What else is the household business of others. Unfortunately by this time he had accidentally gotten into the affairs of other people's households, so he could no longer avoid them.

"Honey. Laura.. I beg your pardon. I beg you not to leave me.." pinta Arsenio with remorse, even her tears dripping right now in front of the woman who is suing for divorce herself.

Laura held back all her strength so that her tears would not drip back down her cheeks. In fact, she could not bear to see the man who had been her husband for almost six years, shed tears in front of her.

"Sorry, my decision is complete. I can't do it anymore" Laura said in a trembling voice.

Arsenio's heart felt very sick to hear the rejection from his wife. He gripped the clothes lining his chest to endure the pain he felt.

Suddenly the door of Laura's room was knocked by someone from outside.

Ryan walked to the door and opened the door. 

A well-dressed man in a matching suit entered the room. The man nodded his head at Ryan in his honor before he entered the room.

"Good afternoon, Laura. Here I bring a letter filing for divorce that I want," said the man who turned out to be a lawyer from Ryan to help Laura's problem.

Arsenio stood up and looked at the lawyer and Laura alternately with a look of disbelief.

"W-what? Divorce lawsuit? Laura you..you really are..," Arsenio could not continue her words. 

His eyes looked at the files in the lawyer's hands. Then he turned to look at Ryan who was standing not far from them. After that he looked at Laura who was still sitting on her bed. 

Now Arsenio's eyes turned irritated and full of anger. He left the room without saying anything to Laura.

Her heart aches to see Laura along with Ryan asking for the help of a lawyer for their divorce.

"Damn it! Is this because of the fucking boss?"
