Chapter 86: Realizing your own stupidity

Arsenio was flabbergasted to hear the people turned out to be a party from the bank where she had borrowed money at the time. Now they came to confiscate his house, which he had lived in with Laura for less than six years.

"No. I'll pay it off today. I already had money to pay for it, only yesterday I was in so much trouble that I could not come to the bank. And now I will pay it off" said Arsenio, who did not want to leave his house to be seized by the bank.

"Sorry sir, this house is no longer able to be maintained because this house has been purchased by someone else," explained one of the bank officers who came to see Arsenio.

Arsenio's eyes were wide open to hear their explanation. Stammeringly he said,

"What's? Bought it? By who? How can they sell without me as the owner?"

The two people who claimed to be from the bank stared at each other. They nodded their heads while smiling. Then one of them gave Arsenio a map, saying,

"This is the sale letter. And you need to know if this house at the time of the transaction is in the ownership of the Bank, because the deadline set by the Bank to the Father is up."

With trembling hands Arsenio received the map. The opening is slowly a map that contains a letter of sale and purchase of the house he owns.

His eyes were glazed over and his lips trembled when he saw the name of the new owner of the house.

"Laura Veronica?" arsenio said softly with a choked voice.

"No. This is impossible. Why is Laura's name here?" arsenio said as she shook her head as if she could not believe what she saw.

"We'll give it until five in the afternoon. Please leave this house immediately and its contents, because everything has changed hands with the new owner," ordered one of the banks standing in front of Arsenio.

"I'm sorry sir. Five o'clock in the afternoon we will be back" the other bank officer continued.

Arsenio did not flinch. Even his tongue felt faint at this moment. No words could be spoken from him. Only the details of tears dripping down accompanied his grief.

The two people from the bank left without an answer from Arsenio who was still sculpting and busy with his own thoughts.

"I need to call Laura. I'll ask him" Arsenio said as she walked into his room intending to retrieve his car keys.

However, when she walked into her room, her eyes caught Laura's cell phone and wallet which were on top of Laura's bag.

Instantly Arsenio's body felt limp as if not boned when she saw Laura's belongings that accompanied her sleep last night. Laura's phone, purse and bag made her remember that she was currently unable to contact her. 

Armed with his strong desire, Arsenio's limp body immediately returned to fitness. Even his legs that felt boneless, instantly felt light at this moment.

He grabbed the keys to his car that was on the nightstand. He quickly walked out of his house to get to the hospital where Laura was being treated.

Arsenio drove her car at high speed as if she was in a hurry and could not wait to meet his wife.

It was only a short while that he had already reached the hospital where Laura was being treated at this time. He immediately ran towards the room Laura had been to before.

Without knocking on the door of the room, Arsenio opened the door and walked in to Laura.

Laura was surprised to see Arsenio barging into her room while she was enjoying her meal.

And so does Ryan. She enjoyed her meal together with Laura in a different place. Laura eats in her bed and Ryan eats on the sofa in the room. And they were both shocked when the door of the room suddenly opened.

"Laura, honey, what does this all mean? Did you pay off all my debts?" arsenio asked with a guilt-ridden look at his wife.

Laura breathed her breath. She had expected that the man who would soon become her ex-husband would meet with her to inquire about the house.

He put the plate he carried on the nightstand. Then he looked at Arsenio with a stern look and said,

"I paid it off. I can also say that I bought it. You promised me, didn't you, about the house? If I help you pay it off, the house will change ownership to my name. Do you still remember it, Mommy?" 

At once Arsenio remembered her promise to Laura. In his heart he cursed his folly that was always caught in his own made situation.

Arsenio stared pushyly at his wife who was looking at him firmly. His body went back to limp hearing the reality he heard.

Laura took something from the nightstand drawer that was near her bed. He gave Arsenio a chocolate map and said,

"Please sign these files so they can be processed quickly."

Arsenio stared at the brown envelope, then she turned to look at Laura and said,

"What's this?"
