Chapter 14: Additional missions

Arsenio finally left by taxi. He could not delay his time anymore even though he did not know what happened to his car. 

Laura forced her husband to quickly leave the place and she also said that she would take care of the car by entrusting it to the workshop where they used to entrust the car.

Now Laura is waiting for the workshop to come to pick up the car.

A little while after that, the repair shop came to pick up Arsenio's car. Laura who was waiting there immediately invited them to bring the car. He told the shop what happened to the car.

As for Arsenio, he actually left first without accompanying his wife waiting for the workshop that would take his car.

After taking care of the car, Laura sighed and walked limply to the stop in front of her husband's office.

He sat in the bus stop waiting for a taxi on the road.

"Today was exhausting. I better book a taxi so I can rest faster at home" Laura muttered while ordering a taxi through her mobile phone.

Suddenly the phone he was holding vibrated, indicating that there was an incoming phone call on his phone.

The screen of the phone that displays the name of the director as the caller.

"Hello, good night" said Laura, starting a conversation on the phone.

Laura, come to the office right now. We will have an important meeting, said Anto, the director of the Laura-hosted event.

Laura breathed back. Even Laura's breath sounded very weak and tired with her current state.

It was very desirable for him to scream at this moment to voice what he felt. Unfortunately he can't do that. Everything has to be done as a responsibility. Responsibility for his mother's debts and responsibility for the mission he is currently on.

He immediately got up from his seat when he saw the taxi his order had already come and stopped right in front of him.

In the taxi Laura tried to close her eyes to rest her body for a moment.

For a few minutes, the taxi stopped. Laura opened her eyes and saw that she was now in front of her office.

He immediately ran into his office after paying for a taxi.

After that they immediately started a meeting that became the material of their next event.

The meeting lasted for a few hours. And finally they also got the results for an impromptu event to be held in accordance with the orders of their superiors.

"It's night. We disband the meeting and go for dinner together. The company's gonna pay for our dinner this time. And the place has also been booked since this afternoon," said Anto as he moved from his seat.

Laura saw all of her teammates also getting up from their seats and walking to follow the director.

Laura sighed as she moved from her seat. He was really tired today. He just wanted to rest at home to be fresh the next day.

But all of that was just his wish. He couldn't refuse the director's orders. Even in conditions not working hours he must obey him.

They all set off in the car they used to use when traveling together. Laura was in the car.

After a while, they arrived at a very luxurious and quiet place. So the atmosphere in the place is very comfortable for those who visit the place.

They were all gathered in the room that had been prepared for their team. A variety of food dishes were already available at the long table that was in front of them.

Dinner this time is more special than the usual dinner held once a month. They did not ask much, for them their stomachs were the main ones.

In between her meals, Laura heard Arsenio's voice next to their room. It turned out that Arsenio and her team had first come and occupied the room next to Laura's room.

He came out of the room and stood at the door of the next room. She took her cell phone in her pocket and she called her husband's cell phone number.

"Hello, Mas Arsen, come out for a minute" Laura said by phone.

After that Laura ended her phone call without giving her husband a chance to ask or reply to her words.

Laura stood up by putting her hands in front of her chest to wait for her husband to come out of the room.

A few seconds later Arsenio came out of the room. It was obvious that he was shocked to see Laura who was already standing there.

"Darling, how are you here? Aren't you waiting for a mechanic in my office?" arsenio asked as she walked up to Laura after closing the door of the room.

Laura smiled welcoming her husband who was approaching her. Then he said,

"We're all having dinner here after the meeting ends."

Arsenio nodded her head and said,

"Do you want to join us?"

Laura quickly refused. He shook his head and pointed at the room, saying,

"No need. Our room is right next to yours."

Arsenio followed the direction from Laura's hand. He nodded and said,

"Yes, come in. We'll go home together."

"I'll go to the toilet first" Laura said, smiling at her husband.

After that she went towards the toilet after getting a nod of the head from her husband.

While in the toilet, Laura was suddenly faced with a floating panel that was familiar to her.

Laura read carefully the writing on the panel. He read in his heart,

'Keep your husband out of danger!'

There is also a provision that this mission is an additional mission from the previous mission. And he will get a bonus if successful in carrying out the mission. Of course he will also get a penalty if he cannot run it.

Laura felt that the mission this time was very heavy for her. She did not understand what danger would threaten her husband.

"I'm really tired. Can't I just breathe for a moment to rest and enjoy my peaceful days?" laura muttered with a sigh that felt so heavy.

Laura's footsteps felt very heavy coming out of the toilet. His body felt weak as if it was not powered after knowing the mission he had to do.

Why are they so many enemies? Why do so many people want to harm him? Laura said in her heart with a sigh.

Laura's eyes always roamed every street she walked. And he put his ears well to listen to all the sounds that are on every street.

The path from the toilet to the room was very quiet. It was like no one was along that road.

Laura walked carefully so that her footsteps would not be heard by anyone. In his heart he said,
