Chapter 42: Personal assistant

Laura felt that the mission given to her was getting more difficult. Not only that, he felt that his burden of life was getting heavier.

Surviving, that was all Laura could do right now. He could only hold on and try hard to deal with it.

'Help the husband to gain the trust of the CEO of the RAZ company to work with his company'

Suddenly Laura's body was limp as if it was not boned. He had not expected that any additional missions would be given to him.

What else the mission given at the moment has to do with his workplace.

"Do I have to be happy because the mission given to me is the same as where I work? But what if this mission could make me lose my job? I had to figure out a way for this mission to run and also to keep my job safe" Laura said, thinking about what she would do later.

That night, Arsenio came home on time. He didn't work overtime today because he wanted to think about how to approach the CEO of the RAZ company.

"Mas, from tomorrow I'll be working" Laura said as they sat at the dinner table.

Arsenio stopped eating. He looked at his wife and said,

"I'm sorry, honey. Because of my carelessness and stupidity, you went back to work. But take it easy, I've got the money to pay for it."

Laura frowned at the words of her husband. She looked suspiciously at her husband while saying, 'She said,

"Where's the money from?"

Arsenio immediately put down her spoon and fork. He took his wife's hand and said,

"Calm down, honey, this time I won't make the same mistake again. Mr. Alberto lent me money on the condition that I had to get the RAZ company to cooperate with our company."

Suddenly Laura was surprised, until she choked on the food she was eating.

Arsenio immediately gave him a glass of water on the table.

"Here, drink honey" said Arsenio, giving Laura a glass of water.

Laura immediately accepted the glass and drank it. Then he said,

"What happened to RAZ?" 

Arsenio sighed. He imagined it would be difficult to convince the CEO of the RAZ company to work with him. 

"The company I worked for has never worked with him. And RAZ companies are known to be very selective in choosing companies that will work with them. I'm not sure if I can convince the CEO of the RAZ company to work with us" Arsenio replied with a sigh.

Instantly Laura grew limp. He felt that his mission would be even more difficult. In his heart he said,

It's true he's my fan. But he's also my boss. And he himself said otherwise he would be messing around in work. I think it's gonna be really hard for me. So what should I do, God…

"Darling, how can you be dumb? Already, you don't have to worry. I'll try to get things done" Arsenio said with a smile on Laura.

Laura smiled back at her husband. Unfortunately Laura's smile was insincere. This smile looks forced and feels bitter.

"Then, where are you going to work tomorrow?" asked Arsenio with curiosity.

"Emmm.. I. I work in a RAZ company," Laura replied carefully.

"W-what? Raz Company?" asked Arsenio who seemed to not believe what she heard.

Laura nodded her head and said,

"Yes. I'll work there from tomorrow."

Instantly Arsenio's lips curved upwards. He slightly felt a fresh breeze in the difficulty he was facing.

"really?" asked Arsenio back to confirm it.

"True Mas, from tomorrow I work at RAZ company. And it seems I have to be careful not to lose my job."

Arsenio moved her body as if she wanted to listen more clearly, saying,

"What do you work for?"

"Personal assistant Ryan Arion Syahreza," Laura replied as she rummaged through the food.

Arsenio quickly held his wife's hand and said,

"Darling, that's so good. You become the personal assistant of the CEO of the RAZ company. I hope you can help me."

Laura looked at her husband. Seeing her husband's happy expression, she momentarily thought. Then he said,

"I'll definitely help you. But, I want something."

"Whatever it is, baby. Anyway I promised you I would grant all your wishes" Arsenio said with a big smile.

Laura looked seriously at her husband and said,

"If Mas's debts have been paid off and the certificate of this house has returned, I want this house in my name."

Suddenly Arsenio's smile faded. He stared intensely at his wife's bead eyes as he said,

"Why? Do you want to leave me?"

Laura breathed her breath. She chuckled at her husband's question.

"If you want to leave you, why don't I do it now? I just don't want Mas to make the same mistake again if this house is on behalf of Mas Arsen" Laura replied in between her piety.

Arsenio smiled again and held tightly to his wife's hand as she said,

"All right, sweetheart. Whatever it is I'm gonna do. I promised you. And I have to keep that promise."

Laura smiled and nodded her head as a gesture that she believed in her husband.

The next day, Arsenio takes Laura to work. He dropped Laura off right in front of the RAZ office building.

The large and towering building makes Arsenio amazed and grateful because his wife can work there and also of course can help him to do his job.

Apparently behind the car Arsenio, there is a car that also stopped right in front of the entrance of the office. 

However, the owner of the car did not get off his car until Arsenio's car left the place.

In the car sat a senior official from RAZ company, Ryan Arion Syahreza. She sees Laura getting out of her husband's car and she notices that Laura's husband's car is missing from her presence.

After that Ryan got out of his car and into his office greeted by Rendra and the others.

As for Laura, as instructed by Ryan, she had already first entered Ryan's office without waiting for him at the door like the others.

Entering his office, Rendra smiled to see Laura who was ready to welcome Ryan in his room.

Unfortunately, Rendra had to get out of the room immediately after Ryan told her to return to her room.

Laura, along with Ryan, is in the room. For a moment the atmosphere of the room became awkward. Ryan never put a woman in his room. And only this time did she trust Laura as her personal assistant.

"Sorry sir, what should I do now?" laura asked Ryan very carefully.

Ryan looked at Laura. Then he said,

"Laura, can you drive a car?"
