Chapter 30: The Punishment

Arsenio felt guilty for Laura. Moreover, he saw that his wife was now like being disappointed and angry with him.

Arsenio occasionally glanced at Laura who was sitting beside her. After that, he refocused on his wheel, saying,

"Darling, I want to confess to you."

Instantly Laura turned to her husband who was still focusing on his wheel. Then he said,

"What?"

The car was sidelined by Arsenio on the roadside. He sighed for a moment, then he said,

"Sorry, I was a little tempted when I helped Rena unzip her shirt."

Laura's eyes glazed over and her lips trembled withholding her cries. Her face turned to the other direction as if unwilling to see her husband's face.

Arsenio's hand held both of his wife's hands and looked at his wife with a pleading gaze as he said,

"I'm sorry, honey. I'm just a little lulled in remembering the times you asked me to help you unzip your shirt."

Laura looked back at her husband. With teary eyes she looked at her husband and said,

"If you remember this wife of yours, you will not be tempted by any woman. Even though she's prettier and sexier than your wife."

Arsenio carried Laura's hands in front of her face and kissed her. 

"Sorry, honey, I'm sorry. It's not true that she's prettier and sexier than you. You're the most beautiful and sexiest woman I've ever met. You're all I love" Arsenio said with a pleading gaze at his wife.

With all her strength, Laura pulled her hands out of her husband's. She looked at her husband with a look full of disappointment and teary eyes.

"It's hard to believe what you're saying Mas" Laura said in a trembling voice.

"Darling.I beg your pardon. I promise I won't tempt other women. I'll–"

"I'll keep your promise. But please, we're going home now. I'm tired and want to rest" Laura said firmly.

Arsenio looked at his wife who seemed to have no faith in him. He breathed a breath that sounded heavy.

However, he could no longer explain to his wife. Without her confession Laura remained suspicious and disappointed in him. Until Arsenio decided to confess to his wife that he had been a little tempted when helping Rena earlier.

Finally Arsenio returned to drive her car to her house. The atmosphere in the car was quiet. Laura just looked out her glass window. She completely avoided seeing her husband driving her car.

Moments later, the car came into their yard. Laura immediately got out of her car when the car door lock was opened by Arsenio.

Arsenio again sighed to see his wife who was no longer as sweet to him as before. 

Arsenio picked up her belongings in the trunk of her car and carried a bag of makeup supplies that belonged to her wife. He saw there were still other bags and shoes belonging to Laura. He did not let it down because it had become a habit of Laura who always provided her necessities in the car.

He opened the door of his room hesitantly. He was afraid that the door of the room would be locked from the inside like that time.

However, his smile instantly broke when the door of the room could open the moment he opened it.

Arsenio went into her room. He put the things he had brought from the trunk of the car into his room.

Looks like I have to seduce her so that our relationship can go back to how it was. 

"Darling...Where are your things placed?" asked Arsenio who was still carrying the items in her hand while looking towards her wife.

Laura's not budging. She closed her eyes and did not answer her husband's questions.

Arsenio sighed. He was upset at himself who could easily be beguiled by Rena.

He put the things he carried near the sofa in his room. With her heavy steps she went into the bathroom to clean her body.

In the bathroom, Arsenio remembered her stupidity earlier. She flushed her head with the air shower hoping that her stupidity would never come back. She already had Laura who she loved so much and of course she thought more than any other woman.

Arsenio stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom. He looked at himself and recalled the incident when he was with Rena. Arsenio's hand moved to beat her head and said,

"Stupid... stupid you are Arsenio! Why can you do that?" 

He cursed at his stupidity that put himself in a difficult position at the moment. Even he became the subject of talk on the set just because of the misunderstanding.

"Now how am I supposed to restore Laura's trust in me?" arsenio muttered in front of the mirror in frustration.

"Huuufffttt somehow, I should be able to improve our relationship. I don't want to lose him just because of this stupid act of mine," Arsenio reassured herself.

After that he came out of the bathroom wearing his clothes. Now he's confused. In his heart he said,

I'm so hungry. Laura must be feeling very hungry right now. Did I take her out to eat, right? But, what if he gets angry with me?

Suddenly Arsenio's stomach rang. He held his stomach and saw his wife still in his blanket.

Braving himself, Arsenio approached his wife and crouched down before her while saying very softly and carefully,

"Honey, we're eating out yuk. I'm so hungry. You must be very hungry too. We're eating at your favorite place."

Laura did not open her eyes. He's moving in the opposite direction. Now Arsenio could only see his wife's back.

Why am I facing my back again? Because of her back, Laura became angry like this to me, Arsenio said in her heart.

He still didn't give up. Moreover, he remembers when his wife smiled when looking at the screen of his phone. He was afraid that his wife had a male friend who could make him smile other than himself.

Arsenio moved. He was in front of Laura. With a quick movement he hugged his wife's body and locked it so that his wife could not escape from his embrace.

Laura's rebelling. She still refuses to be with her husband. She was still disappointed and angry with her husband.

However, as hard as Laura tried to release herself from Arsenio's embrace, her husband got stronger and stronger.

Laura finally gave up. She no longer tried to get herself out of her husband's arms. She tried to find a way to punish her husband in her own way.

Laura opened her eyes. She stared intensely at the bead of her husband's eyes that had been staring at her even though his eyes were still closed. Then he said,

"I want to ask for something."
