Chapter 46: Suspicious

After Laura had lunch together with Ryan inside her office room, the two of them were helped by Rendra preparing all the things that would be used for their meeting this afternoon.

Laura was very happy and excited at her work this time. His job this time was much different from his previous job. And he really enjoys his job right now.

It turned out not bad to also be Ryan Arion Syahreza's personal assistant. I thought it would be exhausting to be her personal assistant, I learned a lot here, Laura said in her heart while smiling at Ryan who was seriously talking to Rendra about their project.

Rendra looked at the circular clock in his right hand, then he said,

"I think it's time we leave, sir."

Ryan looked at the clock in his right hand. Then he nodded in agreement with Rendra's words and said,

"All right, we're leaving now."

Laura immediately moved from her seat. He had his bag and some of the files Ryan needed for the meeting.

They walk in threes with Laura on Ryan's right side and Rendra on Ryan's left.

Laura is now included in the ranks of people who are respected by everyone when walking together with Ryan and Rendra. They all saluted and bowed respectfully to Ryan.

In just a few moments, they are now in a very luxurious five-star hotel to meet people who will work with their company.

They held a special meeting in an enclosed space, in the VVIP room of the hotel.

Their conversation went very well for a few hours. What Ryan has to offer is in high demand by the parties he will work with.

They were amazed at Ryan's thought. All the plans he laid out amazed them all.

"It looks like we didn't choose the wrong RAZ company to cooperate with us. All your plans and thoughts are perfect Mr. Ryan. We will accept your offer" Renaldi, CEO of Starlight, said as he reached out to shake Ryan's hand.

Ryan smiled and accepted Renaldi's handshake, saying,

"Thank you Sir. We will try our best not to let you and the Starlight company down.

Rendra and Laura smiled proudly. In their hearts they acknowledge Ryan's excellent performance.

Renaldi smiled and nodded his head in response to Ryan's words. Then his gaze turned to Laura who was sitting next to Ryan.

"Isn't this Laura Veronica?" asked Renaldi who was staring at Laura.

Laura smiled sweetly at Renaldi as she said,

"Right Sir, I'm Laura Veronica."

Laura's smile did not show what she was feeling at the moment. In his heart was currently extremely anxious. He was afraid that Renaldi had heard rumors outside that he had a scandal with his producer. What he feared was not his good name, but rather he was afraid that Renaldi would cancel his cooperation with the RAZ company just because of the rumors.

"Do you know Laura?" ryan asked Renaldi while chuckling.

"really. I often watch the show. It turns out that a Laura Veronica is prettier to be seen in person than on television," Renaldi replied with her piety.

Ryan turned his head towards his right side, where Laura was sitting there. She smiled at Laura. From the look in her eyes it was Laura catching something that made her blush in shame. Even Laura's face was slightly flushed at this moment.

"Thank you for the compliment, sir. I think you just want to please me" said Laura, smiling to Renaldi.

"No. What I said is true. If you don't believe me, just ask Mr. Ryan. Isn't that right, Mr Ryan?" Renaldi denied Laura's words about her.

"Of course Sir. I will not deny if Mr Renaldi's judgment is always right" Ryan responded to Renaldi's remarks.

The conversation between the two CEOs of the big company made Laura flattered. She felt ashamed of being praised by the two of them.

Rendra just listened to their chat. She smiled looking at Ryan and Laura. In his heart he said,

It looks like it's gonna be very interesting.

After that they ate together and resumed with their conversation.

Suddenly Rendra's phone shook. He immediately grabbed the phone in his pocket and read the message he had just received.

Rendra approached Ryan and whispered in his ear.

Ryan nodded his head in approval to Rendra's words. She allows Rendra to return to the office first without waiting for her and Laura.

"Sorry Mr. Renaldi, I have to go back first" Rendra said respectfully to Renaldi.

Renaldi smiled in response to Rendra's remark to him and said,

"Please Sir. Anyway I think our conversation is over. It's just that I still want to chat with Mr. Ryan. Does Mr Ryan mind?" 

"No Sir. Just please. I still have a lot of time to chat with you" Ryan said, chuckling.

Rendra also left the room with all the files that they had brought as material for their cooperation.

Stay Laura, Ryan, Renaldi and his female secretary who had just been silent, listened to their talks and did his job as Renaldi's secretary.

After a while, Renaldi ended their conversation. He also said,

"I think we got here first. It seems I've taken a lot of your time Mr. Ryan."

Ryan chuckled at Renaldi's words. He stretched out his hand and said,

"I will spend a lot of time for you Mr. Renaldi. Don't be shy."

After they shook hands, Laura and Ryan walked out of the room first. They walk together just the two of them.

On the other hand, Arsenio along with Kessy was sitting in a luxury restaurant five-star hotel and faced with the party from the company Gemilang Sejahtera who will cooperate with his company.

Arsenio accompanied by Kessy explained about their cooperation plan with the company. 

It seems that Arsenio is trying very hard to gain the trust of the company. 

However, Devan, a trusted by the CEO of the company Gemilang Sejahtera it looks ordinary to see the draft cooperation provided by Arsenio to him.

"Sorry Mr. Arsenio, I think what you have to offer is normal. I'll think about it later" Devan said, putting Arsenio's file on the table.

"But sir, can you tell me where you are not satisfied with what we have to offer?" ask Arsenio who tried to convince Devan.

"I think–"

Suddenly Devan's phone vibrated. He immediately took the phone out of his pocket and said,

"Sorry, just a minute."

Devan's forehead frowned at the message he had just received. After that he looked towards Kessy who was sitting by crossing her legs and blinked one eye at Devan.

Devan looked at Kessy with interest. And he smiled and said,

"I'll reconsider if the offer given is worth what we got."

Devan replies to the message and sends the reply to the sender.

Right then and there, Kessy's phone shook. He immediately picked up his phone and smiled reading the message he got. She quickly replies to the message while looking at Devan and smiling sweetly at him. 

"Okay sir, I will wait for the good news" Arsenio said as she reached out to shake hands with Devan.

Devan accepted Arsenio's hand and said,

"I'll call you as soon as possible."

After that Arsenio and Kessy left Devan and his secretary who was still there.

Suddenly Arsenio's footsteps came to a halt when she saw Laura coming out of the elevator along with Ryan.

They were surprised at each other. In that position of facing and staring at each other, they could only say in his heart.

Why did Laura get out of the elevator with him? What the hell are they doing?

Why would Mas Arsenio be with Kessy? Why are they in this hotel?
