Chapter 78: Protector Laura

Arsenio leaves Kessy to chase after his wife, whom Ryan has taken to the hospital.

"Damn! My car is still in the office!" arsenio was standing at the door of her house.

"Let me drive you to the hospital" Kessy took with her, wrapped her hands around Arsenio and pulled her to walk to her car.

Arsenio reached to the door of his house and closed the door and locked it. After that his hand was pulled back by Kessy to walk towards his car.

Kessy was sitting in the driver's seat and Arsenio was sitting next to her. Kessy smiled thinly triumphantly over what was happening at the moment.

For him at this time the road to victory was increasingly wide open. As he wishes, he wants to win Arsenio back because he feels that Arsenio no longer loves him like she used to.

"Hurry now! I'd be very sorry if anything happened to my wife" Arsenio told Kessy, who drove the car very casually.

"He has a protector now. You don't have to worry about her anymore" Kessy said with a grin.

Arsenio turned to the side where Kessy was still focused on her steering wheel. He looked intently at Kessy and said,

"It's all because of you."

"Hey.come on Baby. And you don't have to be such a hypocrite. Just tell me you want to do it again with me," said Kessy did not accept with Arsenio who blamed him.

Arsenio did not answer. He just looked out the windshield window of the car by his side. He is very worried about his wife. And of course in his heart he blames himself for his stupidity and is disappointed in himself who could just as easily be lured into doing so along with Kessy in his own home.

After a while, the car driven by Kessy arrived at the hospital. Arsenio immediately ran towards the IGD room to look for his wife.

"Where is Laura? How's he doing?" arsenio asked Ryan who was standing at the door of the IGD room.

Ryan turned to look at Arsenio who had just come and looked dull at the moment. He looked coldly at Arsenio and said,

"How can you stand up to a good and loyal woman like Laura? If you can't make her happy, better leave her alone. Let him live alone to get his happiness and not be tormented like this."

"No. I can't let go. She's my wife and will forever be my wife" Arsenio said without looking back at Ryan, her eyes still pointing to the IGD room.

Ryan smirked at Arsenio who looked anxious at this moment. Then he turned his head towards the IGD room and remembered something. In his heart he said,

If there's an Arsenio here, it's certain that Laura's situation will worsen again. I'd better get Arsenio out of here right now.

"What about our cooperation? Has there been any progress?" ryan asked seriously while looking at Arsenio.

Arsenio turned her attention to Ryan. He looked at Ryan seriously and said,

"I'm working on sir. You take it easy because I won't let you down."

"Can I see the results today? Because I will show it tomorrow at the board meeting" Ryan said seriously.

Arsenio seemed to think. He could have done it right now. It's just that Laura's circumstances made her anxious and could not leave her before seeing her condition.

"But sir, can't I give you the results tomorrow?" ask Arsenio who tried to negotiate with Ryan.

"As I said earlier. Tomorrow there will be a meeting with the board of directors. If indeed you can not do it, we better cancel our cooperation and I will look for other companies that can be professional in their work" Ryan said firmly.

Arsenio sighed. He stared at the space barren IGD being inhabited by his current wife. Then he looked back at Ryan and said,

Ryan chuckled at Arsenio's words. Then he said,

"Aren't you and your company very professional at work? If you can't be as professional as the news I've heard, it's appropriate that I cancel this partnership."

Damnit damnit! He threatened me! It seems that I do have to be quick to work on it now so that my work reputation does not turn bad in the eyes of other companies, Arsenio said in her heart.

"Okay sir, I'll finish it today. Excuse me first" said Arsenio, bowing her head slightly to say goodbye to Ryan.

Ryan nodded his head in response to Arsenio's words. He didn't say anything to Arsenio.

After that Arsenio left the place without knowing the current state of his wife.

Moments after Arsenio left the place, the doctor who was treating Laura came out of the IGD room. 

"Sorry sir, your wife is not doing well. The baby in the womb cannot be saved. We need to take immediate action right now. Please sign the consent form and take care of the administrative costs" said the doctor who handles Laura in the IGD room.

"What's? A baby? So Laura's pregnant?" ryan asked who looked very surprised at this moment.

"Yes sir, the patient is pregnant at the moment. Didn't you know? Or maybe the patient doesn't know it?" ask the doctor to Ryan.

"Right doc, it seems like the patient didn't notice it" Ryan replied with a sigh.

Ryan felt sorry for Laura's current state. It was undeniable that he cared so much about Laura. She never thought of being able to have Laura. She only felt sorry for Laura, so she always helped and took care of Laura without her knowledge.

The doctor sighed with pity at the current state of Laura who had to part with her baby before she could find out her existence all along in her stomach.

"I'll have the operation ready soon. You should immediately take care of his administration right now so that the operation can be done immediately," said the doctor returned to Ryan.

"Okay doc, I'll take care of it right now" Ryan said before leaving the place for the administration.

Ryan takes care of all Laura's administration. At the moment he is like a husband is taking care of the administrative costs of care of his wife who is hospitalized.

Laura was transferred to the operating room. She had the operation unbeknownst to her husband Arsenio.

Ryan couldn't just leave Laura. It was undeniable that he was so worried and concerned for Laura. He was in front of the operating room waiting for Laura who was undergoing surgery in the room.

Ryan's phone rings. He immediately picked up the phone in his pocket.

"Hello, what's wrong? Please take care of everything. I have a very important need right now" Ryan told a person who was in contact with him.

Apparently the one who contacted him was Rendra, his best friend and also doubles as his secretary in the office.

"Alright, just agree to everything even if there are flaws. I no longer want to be in touch with the company after this partnership ends" Ryan told the person on the phone.

Suddenly the operating room door opened. The doctor who handled Laura's surgery. He approached Ryan and said,

"The operation is done. The patient will be immediately transferred to the prepared room."

Rendra, who still hasn't ended her phone call, hears the doctor say to Ryan. He was surprised and said,

The operation? Ryan, who's in surgery? What the hell is going on? Where are you now?
