Chapter 72: Staying?

Laura opened the door of her house. He was tense because the door of his house could not be opened.

"Where did Mas Arsenio go? Why on her day off is she not at home? Is he really with that flirtatious woman?" laura grumbled as she moved her hand to reach into her bag.

"Well, where's my bag?" laura panicked as she looked at her body.

She limps down to remember that her bag is still in Ryan's car.

"Ck, Laura.. Laura.

With a limp he walked towards an ornamental plant that was not far from the terrace of his house. He took a spare key that he deliberately placed under the flower pot just in case they both lost the key they each held.

"It's a good thing I put the key here" Laura said with a sigh.

Soon he opened the door of his house using the key. He sighed again when he entered his house that felt very quiet like an old house uninhabited.

All the lights in all the rooms. He looked at his surroundings which felt hollow at this moment.

"Oh, I'm tired. I'd better clean up now" said Laura limply walking into her room.

Elsewhere, Arsenio was furious at not being able to contact his wife since yesterday. Even the location of his existence did not change. Many times he checked his wife's whereabouts and still the location of his whereabouts is still in the same resort. 

However, there was a glimmer of relief in his heart when he found the point where Laura was moving towards home.

Unfortunately, the relief did not last long. He must again feel disappointed to see the point of his wife's existence in an elite residential area that he knows as Ryan's house.

"Damn! Why didn't Laura come home? Why is he at his boss' house? What time is it? Does he want to stay there?" arsenio asked with emotionless eyes staring at her phone screen.

Arsenio's thoughts grew chaotic after doctors told her that her mother should be operated on immediately. The uncertain condition of his mother made the doctor who handled it more anxious. Even when the state of weakness, Arsenio's mother still forced to be able to do her activities knitting scarves that will be given to her child.

Arsenio looked at her mother who was closing her eyes and lying weakly on the patient's bed. His hands ruffled his hair in frustration and said,

"I had to quickly find money to pay for my hospital and surgery. Where should I look for him?"

He saw his mother's peaceful face while asleep. She thought of Laura and her mother. Then he said softly,

"Maybe this was what Laura felt at that time."

Arsenio felt guilty for her attitude at that time so she did not know when her mother-in-law died.

Without feeling Arsenio fell asleep in a sitting position next to her mother's bed with her head attached to her mother's bed.

And so did Laura. She fell asleep in her bed alone while waiting for her husband's return.

Her body has been really tired lately. He felt that his body condition was not as active when he worked in the entertainment world.

However, Laura never took a headache with her circumstances. For her she must be able to quickly carry out her mission and be able to get all the prize money to pay the debts of her mother and also Arsenio, her husband.

The sound of chicken crowing accompanied by the rising sun, like the sound of an alarm that marks the arrival of the morning.

Laura's eyes blinked slowly and openly adjusting the twinkle of light entering the retina of her eye.

"It's morning" said Laura in a hoarse voice.

She turned to her side and did not find her husband there. Then he said,

"Did Mas Arsenio not come home last night?" 

Immediately the blanket that covered his body. She went out of her sleep and searched her husband for all the rooms in her house.

However, the state of the house is the same as last night. Silent and lonely.

He suddenly remembered that today was not a holiday. He has to work today.

The clock hanging on the wall. Then he said,

"At this hour, I must go to work immediately."

Laura immediately cleaned herself up and got ready to go to work. 

Beep…

There was a sound of a car horn in front of his house.

"Who in the morning is this stormy?" laura's grumbling who was tidying up her appearance in front of the mirror.

Laura immediately ran to the front of her house to see the car. 

"Mr Laura, I was ordered by Mr. Ryan to pick up Mom because the car used to be in Mr. Ryan's house" the driver told Laura.

"For a moment sir, I took the bag first inside" Laura said after hearing what the driver said.

Laura walked quickly to her room to pick up her bag. Arriving in her room, she sighed when she realized that the bag she was carrying was left in Ryan's car last night.

"Ck, you fool Laura. Never mind, I just brought the other bag," said Laura while taking the bag in her closet.

Laura hurriedly came out of her room and left her phone at the table near her bed.

Laura's footsteps came to a halt when she saw Arsenio's car enter their yard.

"Where are you going all night until you don't come home?" laura asked as Arsenio got out of her car.

"Don't you go home yesterday?" sahut Arsenio asked his wife.

Even this morning I saw your location was still in Ryan's house, Arsenio said in her heart.

Laura approached her husband. She looked into her husband's eyes and said softly by emphasizing each word,

"We are reviewing the location of the project, so we have to stay overnight to find out the atmosphere there in the morning to evening, especially during the high season. I've called you many times, but I can't. We'll talk about this later. I'm already late. The driver is waiting."

Lies. How dare you lie to me Laura, Arsenio grumbled in her heart.

After saying that, Laura immediately walked quickly into the car that had picked her up and left Arsenio standing around looking at her departure.

Arsenio sighed seeing the departure of his wife who once again left him.

"Jeez, I forgot to talk about the savings I was going to borrow for Mom's treatment" said Arsenio, who was recently reminded of her mother.

Arsenio looked at the circular clock on her right hand. Then he said,

"I should immediately finish cooperation with the RAZ company so that Mr. Alberto immediately give the rest of the money he promised" continued Arsenio again.

He immediately went into his house and cleaned his body. After that, he got ready to go to work.

When he wears his tie, Arsenio suddenly looks into Laura's cell phone lying on the table.

With curiosity, he took the phone and ignited the phone.

Put it back roughly the phone on the table earlier saying,

"Damn! Batteries exhausted. Is it because of this that Laura left her HP at home? Or maybe he has another HP without my knowledge?"
