Chapter 23: Courage

Tiara did not look back, where Alberto was. He just gave his thumbs up as he walked out of the door.

Tiara grinned as she walked quickly towards where she hid the bag containing her equipment.

In the toilet, he immediately changed his clothes and put them in a plastic bag and put them in a garbage basket.

After that she removed all the makeup that covered her real face.

Laura washed her face in the sink after removing the clean makeup she had worn. He looked in the mirror and looked at his face as he said,

"Goodbye Tiara."

After that he rushed his bag of supplies out of the toilet. With that quick step he headed for the taxi that was waiting for him outside the resort.

"It was a good thing I had booked a taxi on the toilet earlier," Laura muttered when she saw her order taxi was waiting for her.

In the taxi, Laura immediately took her cell phone and activated the phone.

He was inflamed when he saw some messages sent by Deborah to him. Even Deborah called him many times and it was all just a missed call.

In her message, Deborah said that Laura would be replaced by a young presenter who Deborah said was not qualified. He said the new presenter only sells his looks, unlike Laura who is talented and smart at anything.

The insolent! How dare they replace me after everything I did for the event all this time, Laura said in her heart.

Anyone would definitely feel betrayed if treated that way by people who did not appreciate our hard work all this time for them.

Suddenly a notification message came from Laura's phone. With the opening of the message immediately, hoping if he will get good news in order to improve his damaged mood.

Slowly his lips curved upwards. Even his eyes glimmered at the screen of his phone.

"Twenty-four million rupiah?" laura muttered in disbelief.

He smiled happily seeing his efforts appreciated by others.

At the very least, there are still those who appreciate the fruits of my hard work, Laura said in her heart.

Laura regained her confidence. By receiving the rewards from her hard work of carrying out the mission given to her, she felt back to being a very confident Laura and could do anything.

The taxi driven by Laura stopped in front of the towering building with the inscription of the name of the private television in which Laura had worked there for ten years.

With a confident step, Laura went into his office to find Anto as the director of the show he guided.

Laura immediately approached Anto when she saw the director was looking at the results of the shooting he did.

"When are we going to shoot sir?" laura asked Anto when she was nearby.

Suddenly Anto was surprised to find Laura who was already nearby at this time. Anto turned her gaze to Dani who was next to her and looked at her with an annoyed look.

"I told you earlier, sir" whispered Dani in Anto's ear.

Anto sighed looking at Laura who was looking at him with great confidence. Even he was now standing before Anto with a grin and his hands were in his pants pocket.

"Laura, as Dani said, you will be replaced by–"

"What if I don't want to?" sahut Laura quickly interrupted Anto's speech.

Laura changed her standing position and she stared firmly at Anto as she said,

"Alright, I will resign with honor!"

Anto and Dani are shocked to hear what Laura has to say. 

Seeing the shocked expressions of Anto and Dani made Laura happy. Laura walked away leaving those who were still shocked to hear the decision from Laura.

"Laura, you're still a presenter. But for the specified age," exclaimed Anto who tried to stop Laura's steps.

Laura kept walking. He won't budge anymore. He now felt proud to have left those who had been careless to him.

"My decision is round. I don't want to give up on you anymore. I'd better focus on the mission given to me, '" Laura muttered as her footsteps stepped out of her office.

In there, Anto is angry at Dani. She blames Dani for not being able to stop Laura's desire to quit her job.

"Stupid you! You should be able to calm him down and seduce him to stay with us in this event. There was no way he would want to host the event with a guest star who was far above his age. It could be chaotic if our event is guided by him," said Anto with annoyance at Dani who talked about their new presenter.

Dani just silently accepted the curse given by Anto to him. He just said in his heart,

Fate..fate is always to blame. Actually he already knew that the new presenter could not be compared to Laura, but why did he still wear it. Now he blames me. What exactly happened so that he preferred the new presenter?

Anto walked back and forth while thinking. She could not just let Laura go because Laura was so obedient and talented.

As for Laura, she felt relieved and freer after saying her decision to leave the job she had been in for a long time. Even the name of the event is great.

"That's Laura, you can work somewhere else that values your hard work more. And they will definitely be very sorry to have happened like this to you," Laura muttered hatefully.

Laura returned to her home with mixed feelings. A sense of pleasure and pride in himself for being able to complete his mission and dare to say that he resigned in front of his director.

However, there was a sense of sadness in his heart at this moment. Sad to leave the show and the people who have always worked with him.

There were no tears Laura shed on her cheeks. The tears were mixed between tears of happiness and tears of sadness, according to what Laura felt at this time.

Suddenly there was a message notification sound that made him realize. The cell phone next to him and he read it.

Laura's lips curled upwards as she read a message from her husband inviting her to dinner together in a special place.

Laura's heart was slightly healed because her sadness had been slightly replaced by her pleasure with sweet treatment from her husband.

Laura immediately prepared the clothes and bag she would use for dinner together with her husband. He tried on some clothes and saw them in the large mirror that was in his room. 

After busy choosing from several collections of clothing, Laura has determined the clothes she will wear later.

Laura smiled at the clothes she had chosen to wear later that night. She recalled that the clothes were a gift from her husband at the beginning of their marriage.

However, a moment later his smile faded when he saw something familiar to him. 

The floating panel was present back in front of him. He let out a faint sigh recalling his dinner with Arsenio. He was afraid that the event would fail because of the mission he had obtained.

"What is the seventh mission?" murmured Laura who only saw that thing without even wanting to read it.
