Chapter 3: The first mission

Now right in front of Laura there is a floating panel. There was a mission written for him. Even there is his full name.

The panel said Laura had to repair her relationship with her husband. She was required to obey and do anything for her husband.

He also learned that he would earn two million dollars every time he successfully completed his mission.

However, if he fails to carry out his mission, then the system will give him punishment.

And the system will be erased if the reward obtained has reached two hundred million. In addition he would get a bonus of two hundred billion.

"What's this?" laura asked while trying to move her hand to remove the panel from her face, unfortunately the object was like a shadow that could not be removed.

"Honey.. Where are you? I brought your favorite croflle," exclaimed Arsenio who sounded very happy.

Laura took a deep breath and took it out slowly. He walked out of the warehouse door by passing through just the floating panels that blocked him.

Laura walked from inside her house towards the dining room where Arsenio had been waiting for her.

Arsenio smiled sweetly at his wife as her hand held up a box bearing the name of her favorite croflle shop.

"here. Let's have a meal together" Arsenio said, waving her hand to call his wife to come closer to him.

Laura is still cold-faced. She looked at her husband without any expression. She walked up to her husband and sat in the chair that was right in front of him.

Arsenio opened the box and she smiled when she saw some croflles with various flavors topping. Then he said,

"Let's eat." 

"Why buy all this?" laura asked with her face flat.

Arsenio's forehead frowned. He felt strange about what his wife was asking. 

"Of course I bought it specifically for you," replied Arsenio with a smile as sweet as possible.

Laura breathed her breath. Then he said in a loud voice and emphasized each word, saying,

"Forku? Wh-wh-what for? To celebrate my mother's death?" 

Laura's anger could not be held back anymore. So she asked her husband directly.

"Your mother's death?" chirped Arsenio with her frowning forehead.

Laura smiled cynically at the question from her husband who seemed to be unaware of the question.

"Don't pretend to be stupid. I've been calling you all day to report Mom's death. Even I sent you a message," Laura insisted, stressing every word as her hand brushed the rough tears that were carelessly dripping down her cheeks.

Suddenly Arsenio's eyes were opened. She was really shocked to hear the news of her mother-in-law's death.

"I-mother died?" arsenio asked nervously as if she could not believe what she heard.

Laura just stared cynically with tears on her cheeks. As powerful as he held back his cries, unfortunately the tears escaped without being able to hold him back. Even his cries made no sound.

Laura stood up from her seat and said,

"You're the worst husband among other husbands!" 

Then she left her husband who was still shocked to hear the news of her mother-in-law's death.

Arsenio took out her cell phone from her pants pocket. He sighed when he found out his phone was dead.

"It looks like this HP has been dead since noon. No phone calls or notifications since. I'm too busy working so I haven't checked my HP since. Stupid me. This is all because last night I didn't charge my phone" Arsenio muttered guiltily.

After a while, Laura returned with a box that was no stranger to Arsenio.

"Darling, that..," Arsenio could not continue her words.

"Didn't he say this morning he brought this stuff when he was working and someone would buy it? Then what is this? Even you hid it in the barn to fool me" Laura said in a voice that shook with her tears still running down her cheeks.

"That's me.." Arsenio couldn't be kinked anymore, she had no reason to defend herself.

Laura took out the game console and raised it with both hands, saying,

"Because of this damn thing my mom can't have surgery!"

Braaak!

Arsenio was shocked to the point that his mouth was open to seeing his dream game console slammed by his wife.

Now the PS5 was destroyed scattered on the floor. The game console that was just played by Arsenio last night, now only memories.

After a few seconds, Arsenio woke up. Suddenly he immediately approached the game console and picked up each piece with his deep feelings of sadness.

Blam it!

Laura closed the door of her room very hard.

In his room he was crying. He remembered his mother's death. She blamed herself again for her mother's death.

His hand hit his chest to relieve the tightness in his chest. The feeling of tightness slowly disappeared along with the crying and the number of tears that were released.

Suddenly in front of him again seen a floating panel like the one he met in the warehouse a moment ago.

Slowly Laura stopped her crying. With a little puff she said in her heart,

Why is this thing here? 

Laura tried to touch the panel floating before her. There he could read the same provisions he had read earlier.

Instantly Laura remembered the debts her mother owed her after her mother's funeral.

During this time Laura's mother borrowed a lot of money from neighbors and also loan sharks for her medical expenses. Sadly, all of that debt has never been paid.

"Is this real?" laura asked in between her sobs.

In the panel suddenly appeared 'real' writing with capital letters are large, so that makes Laura shocked as if not believe what she saw.

"Will I get the money if I do the mission?" laura asked to be sure.

And again he got an answer from the panel. There is an explanation of what Laura got and what would happen if Laura failed to do the mission.

For a few minutes he thought. He finally decided to accept the mission.

His hand touched a button that read 'accept' on the panel. And now, Laura is bound by the system and she has to carry out her mission.

There was also a mission that must be run by Laura. Her first mission was to obey her husband's orders and not deny him whatever happened.

Laura breathed a heavy sigh. Just imagine he already felt unable, but he had to do it to pay his mother's debts.

Feeling very tired, Laura decided to close her eyes and rest her body.

That night they slept alone. Laura fell asleep in her bed after exhaustion crying over her mother. As for Arsenio, she slept on the living room couch sorrowfully hugging the pieces of her game console that were falling apart.

The next day, Laura was flat and ignored her husband. But he still did his job as usual because he remembered the mission that had to be carried out by him.

After breakfast they left together as usual, with Laura still acting cold to her husband. 

After being in her office, Laura was again faced with a floating panel she had been meeting with. There was a warning written for Laura not to treat her husband badly. Because her mission is to repair her relationship with her husband.

Laura steadied in her heart if she should be able to carry out her mission. All that to pay his mother's debts and as a form of his service to his mother.

Blam it!

The sound of the door being closed so loudly by Arsenio made Laura who was washing dishes shocked.

Laura walked out of the kitchen while rubbing both her hands on the apron she was wearing.

“Home home?” laura asked as she watched her husband stagger into the house while removing his tie.

“I'm tired. I'm gonna take a shower. Quickly prepare the warm water,” said Arsenio as he walked past his wife to the dining table.

The smell of alcohol emanated from the body of Arsenio who walked past Laura. Instantly Laura sighed to see her husband's increasingly irritating attitude. Her husband always acted as he wished.

As had just happened, instead of her husband answering her question, she gave the order to his wife instead. And even more upsetting, her husband came home drunk. Even though she was still conscious and could go home, still Laura did not like her.

It was so upsetting to Laura that every night had to wait for her to come home and serve her until she fell asleep.

He's not a baby, but it troubles me more than a baby. Even I could not rest in peace before she went to sleep, Laura grumbled in her heart.

After she prepared the warm water in the bathtub, she immediately prepared a towel and a change of clothes for her husband.

“It is ready Mas warm water,” said Laura while walking up to her husband and smiling at him.

Arsenio was surprised by his wife's sudden change in attitude, unlike last night. In his heart he said,

What's up with him? Am I dreaming? Or because I was drunk? 

In the kitchen, while Laura was making warm drinks for herself and her husband, she came back face to face with the floating panels.

It says if the mission Laura runs is a success. And now he faces a second mission.

"The second mission?" murmured Laura when she saw the writing on the panel screen.
