Become A Human In Another World

Become A Human In Another World
ACT 3: Chapter 24 - Before Continuing the Journey

I finally told the others my suspicions about the curse I had on my mother. And I've got a lead to cure it .

After successfully conversing with Diena, I knew that it was no ordinary curse, but it was often called a possession symptom. I don't know what it is, but it looks like it's a well-known disease.

And after analyzing Tinki's possession, Diena concluded that the disease could be cured by someone in the Church. That person was in the central Church, which was in the middle of the city of Ronia, the capital of the Kin kingdom.

Means the purpose of my trip after this is the capital.

Meanwhile, I now know what the original use of sacred water was, which was to remove the curse. Especially the curse that stuck to my body after I used that strange skill. I think I have a lot to prepare for that.

And that strange skill yesterday, it was an extremely powerful ability, but the pay was expensive. I had to be tormented with a status that decreased considerably, up to 10% of the original status and a full-body ache for it.

And because of that, my HP status is very low. Maybe I'll die if I stumble down the stairs? Pray that nothing like that happens!

"Yes on your own?" edna suddenly appeared while I was thinking to myself on the balcony.

"Ahh, brother Edna. I'm sorry that I've been hindering travel time, because I needed healing." I apologized to her because we were stuck in Furyuun until I recovered.

It's been day 10, but it hasn't shown any sign of improving.

"No no! You knew?! You are strong! And who will protect us if you are not stronger? Wouldn't that be dangerous?" ask her while laughing. I laughed with him, just for a moment.

I know, it wasn't a heartfelt laugh. It's all a mask.

This was exactly the case with Rumia, who I could use the [Observer(Mimic)] skill on her. That makes me know that Edna's laughter is just a fake laugh.

Honestly, I'm a little upset about that.

"Huff. Brother Edna. What about Suzu? Then, did Aina do well training with uncle Kurls? Is there anything special about them?" I'm still trying to take my mind off Edna's expression.

The wind blew slowly, blowing my hair.

"Gohh! Lucky you asked! Everything's fine! Thanks to you, the Academy is quickly rebuilt. Moreover, it seemed like Aina really liked the lesson with uncle Kurls. We're lucky to have it." Edna's still laughing by forming a muscle pose.

Uhh, I don't like this.

I've been holding him back since we departed from Eldergale, but I can't really just let him go.

"Sir Edna." I turned around, and pulled his hand, cornering it against the wall.

"Wouldn't you stop?" I pounded the wall beside his head, looking at him sharply.

"A-a-what are you doing, Ren?!" he stuttered slightly and his face was red, probably from anger.

Well, I don't care if he gets angry, but I really can't take it anymore.

"Stop your smile, brother. That's sickening!"

"Did? Whatchu mean?" edna's eyes grew bigger, surprised.

"You are Edna. Not Rule. You can never be a brother of Ruly. I've already let her go, so can you also let her go? Don't stay under his shadow?" ahh, I said it.

"What! What do you mean?!" now Edna's sister is screaming a little. I could see tears coming down in his eyes.

"Even if no one knows, but I can definitely tell. This isn't you. You just behave like Ruly's brother."

"You imitated it, because you really can't let go." I kept staring at him.

"You also made me a substitute for the father figure, which you must respect. Never before, but why has it all changed now?" I explained to him my view.

It made her shed more tears, but I didn't care.

"I'm also missing. I am sad, just like you. But please, please brother." I'm holding both shoulders.

"Please forget them. Relieve them. They must also be sad to see a sister like this." I said.

He was crying, kneeling in front of me. She cried for quite a while, but I let her have as much time as possible. There's no one else around.

"What's wrong?" he mumbled softly in his cry.

"What's wrong with me doing this? I just want them to stay! I don't want to forget them!" scream Edna's sister, crying.

I just laughed a little hearing that.

Huh! How stupid!

"And you say you don't want to forget them? Don't lie! You're just running from reality! If you want to remember them, don't be them. Be yourself and remember them in your own way." I laughed mockingly.

"If you continue to be someone else" I close my mouth to his ear whispering a word.

One meaningful sentence, it could make him widen his eyes. I passed by, leaving Edna, who was still sitting, silent and doing nothing.

Yep. He looks like the old me. Proudly assuming that I can do everything, can keep what should be, and cover it all up with lies.

"Then you'll never get back to who you are, will you?" I muttered softly as I left Edna's sister.

In an unknown place....

"Bas stupid of you! Don't you know? What you did is known to the whole world! Stupidhead! This motherfucker!!" someone shouted, with a heavy tone at the person who was bowing.

It was an arena-like room that was not too bright, with a circular shape. There were only a few people there, it could even be counted on the fingers.

And there was a person who was bowing in the middle of the arena, a person who was wearing a black robe that looked made of dark magic.

He was getting more and more frightened by the words of the person who was on top of him, looking down.

"I'm sorry, leader. I made that decision because the doll I sent to the city disappeared. So I-" said he disconnected, when suddenly the robed young man lost his hand.

"Die?!" the man shouted while holding his puffed-up hand near the shoulder.

"How dare you answer?" someone who was sitting on the arena suddenly appeared behind the young man.

The atmosphere suddenly became gripping. The other person watching was just silent, knowing of the danger.

"Decision has its limits, fool!" the man raised his hand, then a lightning bolt suddenly formed in his hand. It was a bright yellow color, which made the one-robed youth retreat in fear. He felt this was the end for him!

"Wait!" a female voice sounded, breaking the commotion.

"Dela? What's up?" the one who was raising his hand removed the lightning in his hand, and lowered it.

"I got new information, that we managed to summon the Demon Lord in Furyuun." explained the woman as she raised her eyebrows.

Arriving, the look on the face of the man in the middle turned happy. The robed youth was now silent, understanding his life had survived for a while, and it was fortunate that he was now ignored.

"Ohh! Then the seedlings I gave to the old pervert were already used! And how? Where did he go berserk?" he turned around while raising his hand, laughing in satisfaction.

"That's it, there is no significant damage, even half of the city of Furyuun is not lost" Dela replied.

The little man's dance stopped, with horrifying wide eyes.

"How is it possible?! How come?! It was a seedling that I had developed myself, and it didn't need the collision of stupid children! I designed it like that! But! But! That's impossible!!" he shouted, clawing his own face with his hands.

It looked terrible, as he started to hurt his own face.

"Who?! Who thwarted the events that would become my new verse? Who?!" the man approached Dela, with angry eyes and an injured face.

"It was a Shinigami. He managed to face the Demon Lord alone."

"There are reports that the 7 True Demon Lords also took part in the failure of the attack, but that is still uncertain" Dela said as she twisted her body.

"But for sure, the Shinigami are the same person as the one who foiled the plans in the Eldergale. I can guarantee that. And technically, it is true that Gordo's decision to destroy the entire city so that there is no evidence or eyewitness anymore, but it is not expected that the Shinigami's ability is this big." Dela continued at length.

He seemed to be giving a defense to Gordo who was already curled up in the corner there.

"Hummmmd. A shinigami? I never heard that name. Fuck that. Dela! Your ranking will rise to rank 3 if you succeed in this task!"

"Find the man to see him, and kill him! Take the trash in that corner with you! Use it as bait I don't care! Importantly, bring the Shinigami's head here!" the man shouted while laughing.

Dela just lowered her head, then took Gordo and dragged him away.

The atmosphere regained its calm after the two of them left, and the others also breathed a sigh of relief. Only the anger of the man left now jumped away, with a good face, without a trace.

"Alright, Shinigami. Let's hear a beautiful scream from you! You've cornered my sweet little kitten, so I'll make you sing!" Dela seemed to be smiling sweetly, although everyone knew that it was a deadly smile.

"I'll make you sing a desperate cry, and I'll repeat it, again, again, and again until you can't sing anymore!" Dela laughed in satisfaction, while still dragging Gordo from there.
