ACT 4:Chapter 30 - Attack at Night

"W-what should I do? If this continues, Liu Xiu will leave me soon!!" a restless voice sounded in a room. It seemed to say something about Liu Xiu

He went back and forth, turned around, and walked his way continuously in his room. He seems confused.

"Pulan. Yep! The mulan!! Please help me!!" yelled Xi while calling her familiar.

"Yes, princess. Did you call me?" a heavy voice suddenly appeared next to Xi. It was the Pulan, which was a giant deer. But inside this room, she used a cute little broken shape.

"Please help me. I don't want Liu Xiu to leave. What do I have to do to keep him from leaving?" ask Xi.

"What do you mean, your highness?" ask Pulan.

"I-I don't know! I just want Liu Xiu to stay but, ahh.... I don't know what to say!! But.. Hows it? Nah! That's impossible!!" spray Xi with a word he says that doesn't connect at all.

Pulan who heard that, smiled holding back a laugh.

"Silence, princess. Breathe properly, and then you'll be able to explain everything correctly" Pulan said, trying to calm Xi down.

"You're right. I need to calm down." Xi said as she began her breathing.

It happened a few seconds, no. Xi breathed for a few minutes, either because he was nervous or something hit his brain.

"Daughter, are you comfortable with your breathing?" ask Pulan.

"Yes. It's soothing. You should try once, Pulan. It's so amazing." Xi said with a smile, and took another breath.

"Maybe you will cultivate if you continue to do her, princess." Pulan reminded with a slight insinuation of Xi. It made Xi explode and his face was red in shame.

After that happened, he screamed and ran around the room. It looks like a possessed person, but the difference is he's funny.

"Why? Why can't I remove Liu Xiu's shadow from my face?!" xi finally said it out loud.

"His smile, how he treated me, how he laughed, it all couldn't be lost in my mind! Is this a magic spell? It's impossible, isn't it? Liu Xiu could not use magic. I know that."

"No. That could be. I never knew Liu Xiu's strongest power. Don't don't he have the power to control the mind?!!" xi shouted increasingly slurred.

He now walked back and forth while assuming his head, and said some strange things. It made Pulan laugh.

"Like her I know what happened to you, Princess" Pulan said after a long time of watching you Xi.

"Whatis that? Am I really going crazy now!" xi asked with a somewhat desperate expression.

Pulan chuckled softly, then walked around Xi.

"What the Princess feels is called being in love. In short, it means you like master Liu Xiu." explained Pulan with a smile. Looking at his expression, he looked very satisfied as he said that.

As for Xi, she only gawked while looking at Pulan with a questionable face.

"What are you saying. I certainly like Liu Xiu. He's the savior of all of us, isn't he? And what is it in love. I understand the definition of falling, but what does love mean? Do not use difficult words! Explain it more easily!" shouted Xi.

Pulan sighed. Though, he had already explained as easily as possible to Xi, afraid that he would not understand. But Pulan did not expect that his master's innocence had come to this.

"Daughter must have seen a lot of people getting married, right? Nahh, that person got married because of that feeling, that feeling of love." explains Pulan.

"Hehhh? Don't they just want to have offspring?" ask Xi.

"Y-yahh, that's also true. But the point is that." said Pulan brickly.

"Explain it correctly!" shouted Xi furiously.

"Huff. How else, around the princess there are no female friends let alone male friends. So the Princess will not understand." Pulan said with a sigh, looking tired.

Then, Pulan taught Xi about it, and a few other things. And even to some that shouldn't be said.

It made Xi's face flushed red, but he still refrained from listening to it all until the end.

"So, I asked again. What do you want from master Liu Xiu?" ask Pulan after giving a lecture at length.

"A-aku~"

"I want to be with him. M-it's a shame to say it, but I want to continue with him, anytime. I also want to sleep, eat, and do everyday with him as usual. Doing it for a few days makes me happy. And if he's suddenly gone..."

Xi was silent for a moment, then took a breath.

"I feel a little unwilling" Xi said softly. It made Pula nod his head satisfied to hear that.

Clack up!!

The sound of the door opening. Immediately, Xi covered her mouth with both hands to prevent the sound from coming out in the slightest.

Luckily, some lanterns for lighting were turned off. It made the house dark like all its inhabitants had slept asleep.

The sound of the door was Liu Xiu, who had just come after talking to the Beast just now for a while.

"Moon, it's Liu Xiu! What am I supposed to do?" xi asked nervously. He peeked at Liu Xiu's whereabouts from afar, and was afraid to get close.

"Isn't this your last chance, princess?" ask Pulan.

"Huh? Whatchu mean?" ask Xi.

"What if you tell me how you feel now? Opportunities like this don't come twice, princess. If not now, maybe master Liu Xiu will leave tomorrow. When that happened, could the princess declare her?" ask Pulan.

It made Xi speechless, looking down. His heart was worried because of the word Pulan.

"Maybe can't." replied Xi quietly.

"Therefore, you must be confident, princess. Maybe it will end badly, but most importantly the princess has told the truth, and will not regret it later on" said Pulan.

The advice rang in Xi's mind because he thought it was true. After all, the truth was that he loved Liu Xiu. And in any way, he will say it sooner or later.

"Alright, Pulan. I will." replied Xi confidently.

Liu Xiu was preparing to sleep now, while Xi was preparing his heart and mentality to express his feelings to Liu Xiu.

He even prayed that Liu Xiu had not slept, so he started knocking on the door.

Less fortunate for Xi, because when he knocked on the door, Liu Xiu had just closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Clearly no one knew the type of door Xi.

"No answer, is he sleeping?" xi asked as he knocked on Liu Xiu's door. Even so, he knocked on the door very slowly out of nervousness.

He opened the door and made a little noise.

It made Liu Xiu instantly wake up. Liu Xiu's extremely high guard allowed him to notice some sounds while sleeping. But it was a bit strange that he did not hear the knocking sound of Xi's door.

...("Did someone come in? Who'sis that? Whoever it is, I must prepare.") Liu Xiu thought....

He currently looks unarmed, whereas under the pillow he has prepared a knife that he can pull quickly before even the attacker is aware. So, he was even without any gaps while sleeping.

Liu Xiu almost shouted realizing that, but he held it as hard as he could.

The blanket Liu Xiu was using looked mountainous, with objects inside that continued to move towards Liu Xiu's stomach. It was a little amused, but Liu Xiu could still endure it.

Because of Xi's small body, it was easy for him to slip past the blanket into Liu Xiu's chest and reveal the blanket that was blocking him.

Until finally, Xi reached the end of the blanket, and looked at Liu Xiu's face directly.

He rubbed his cheek against Liu Xiu's chest for a moment, before he called out to Liu Xiu.

"You're not sleeping, Liu Xiu." asked Xi.

Hearing that, Liu Xiu could only let out a long sigh, giving up. Because after all, there was no point in continuing that useless drama.

"As you know." Liu Xiu answered opening his eyes.

As he opened his eyes, Liu Xiu realized that Xi's face was really close. With her blushing face and the beautiful facial features of Xi, it was impossible for Liu Xiu not to blush looking at that.

Moreover, the position of those who were on the same bed, even sharing the same blanket made Liu Xiu have to throw his face.

"What's wrong, Liu Xiu." asked Xi.

"That should be my word. What are you doing here? This is my room! Did you digress and get the wrong room?" ask Liu Xiu.

"Technically, this is my home. So I'm free to go anywhere I want." Xi replied easily.

Liu Xiu snorted annoyedly with that, he made his face completely flat right now. It was the effect of the [Poker Face] skill that kept his face in position and did not turn red now.

"alright. In that case, let me come out" Liu Xiu said as he began to stand up.

"Liu Xiu, wait" Xi said, holding Liu Xiu's body by placing his head on Liu Xiu's chest.

Liu Xiu was a little surprised, but he let her go for a moment. But since Xi did not say anything, Liu Xiu slightly shook his body, making Xi immediately aware.

"You promised to do anything." he continued. It made Liu Xiu immediately recall his words, and immediately guessed what Xi would ask of him.

"Alright, Xi. What'sthat?" ask Liu Xiu.

"Stay here with me" Xi said as he hugged Liu Xiu tightly.

"Did?" liu Xiu asked in disbelief.

"Yes! Stay here with me! It might be embarrassing for me to admit, but I'm always nervous when I meet you, my heart beats every time I see you, and talking to you makes me happy."

"It's sad to be said by someone like me, but I love you, Liu Xiu!" xi said loudly.

It made Liu Xiu freeze to his surprise. Even after using the [Poker Face] skill it couldn't cover up his expression which was completely shocked.

"I don't want you to leave, Liu Xiu. I want you to stay with me. In other words, I want to marry you! No. gabe. My fault." Xi stopped his words, and slightly took off his embrace.

He then raised his head, in order to be able to look at Liu Xiu's face directly.

"Please make me your wife, Liu Xiu!" xi said confidently.

Xi's slightly crying face was visible, and the flushed cheeks made her very sweet. Coupled with the moonlight slowly entering, Xi looked perfect now.

Xi really can't think clearly now. In this kind of position even his heart was racing right now.

Those were some of the most calming seconds in Liu Xiu's life all along.

He also has some conditions on him. If he does not accept and do something to Xi, then his self-esteem as a man will be reduced. But if he accepted her, he would lose his original purpose.

It was a few seconds that looked quick, but it was a very long time for Liu Xiu. Moreover, he tried to think very fast in every second to make it grow longer.

But Liu Xiu finally came to a quick conclusion.

He moved his hand, and stroked Xi's cheek slightly.

"Xis... I get it."

"You understand, don't you?" xi asked with a smile.

"But I'm sorry." Liu Xiu with a single swift move, Liu Xiu turned things around, turned on the lights, and opened the blanket.

"Huh?"

"I can't get married and stay here" Liu Xiu said quickly.

Xi who heard that fell silent, and became gloomy instantly. She clutched the blanket, feeling that her heart was breaking. I feel like crying.

Liu Xiu also knew, this would happen, but Liu Xiu did not think that Xi would take such an aggressive step to directly express her feelings for Liu Xiu. Since it was indeed from the beginning, Liu Xiu had the skill [Observer(Mimic)], so he knew just by observing Xi's face.

"Why." whispered Xi slowly.

"Why don't you want to marry me? Am I less attractive? Do you hate me? Or is there someone else in your heart?" xi asked a little tear.

"Everything!" shouted Liu Xiu with excitement.

"Huh?" again the word came out of Xi's mouth, so surprised.

"No. I was just joking." continued Liu Xiu as he slightly stuck out his tongue. It made Xi who was about to cry so breathe a sigh of relief, but simultaneously he felt annoyed.

"Liu Xiu, you!!!"

"But!!" Liu Xiu immediately interrupted before something even more terrifying happened.

"I like you a little, you know? Yahh, even a little sighh." said Liu Xiu trying to turn his face away.

"Then?" Xi asked slowly.

"But, I will walk around the world, leaving you will be difficult if I have to marry you. Also, my journey will be more dangerous than the journey of an ordinary adventurer. I will not take you on that journey." Liu Xiu said with a serious face.

Xi who heard that fell silent, looked at Liu Xiu's face in awe and his slightly reddened face heard that Liu Xiu was really paying attention to him.

"You bulk up, Liu Xiu!" xi said slowly.

"Well, this is my way, you know?" liu Xiu replied with a laugh.

"Then will you promise?" ask Xi.

"What?"

"Please promise to come back here. You have to promise." said Xi.

Liu Xiu heard him smile as he touched the second select Xi.

"I may not be able to come back here, but I promise." Liu Xiu replied as he gave a pat to Xi's head. It made Xi happy, but since Liu Xiu's hand was on it, he immediately grabbed it quickly.

"For my request..."

"Can we sleep together just for tonight?" xi asked in embarrassment.

Liu Xiu sighed, and thought that maybe this was his last day at this World Tree. So this one-time request would be quite miserable if he didn't.

"alright. But promise not to do anything strange." Liu Xiu replied as he slightly pinched Xi's nose.
