ACT 4: Chapter 15 - Approaching the End

Liu Xiu sacrificed his body to save the remaining potions. But anyway, it would weaken him, and possibly slow him down.

But it was fortunate for Liu Xiu, because he was wearing the right clothes to protect him from a fatal attack like the one just now. It made him somehow still survive until now.

?!!

Arriving, his [Critical Preception] again rang loudly.

It turned out that behind the attack of the Elf wind blade earlier, hidden his sword that floated quietly, pointing towards Liu Xiu's head.

Liu Xiu was shocked by the sudden attack. Even after using the [Critical Preception] he couldn't just dodge it!

In that split second of a crucial moment in his life, Liu Xiu chose to shift a bit of the way of the sword, lest it recognize its head. But when the sword managed to pass through Liu Xiu's head with a distance of several centi, the Elf reflexively pulled out her knees, to attack Liu Xiu right at the chest.

It was an unexpected attack by Liu Xiu, so he couldn't even prevent it.

Their attacks were troublesome because they did not actually want to attack Liu Xiu, so there was no killing intent coming out of each of their attacks. It made Liu Xiu always too late to react.

Liu Xiu bounced upwards, smashing into the sky of the sky. But soon followed by the Elf to kick her down, again.

But underneath it had been awaited by the Beast Reinkarnator who had been still walking in a daze. Unfortunately the Beast was now able to stand up, even jumping up to welcome Liu Xiu's fall, and throwing him against the wall with all his might.

"Bughhh!!! Shit...." Liu Xiu gripped softly as he pulled out a few glasses of blood from his mouth.

"If I don't wear this protective suit, I will definitely die!!" liu Xiu said as he drank some potions to heal his wounds. Luckily, the remaining two people did not rush to attack him directly.

"There are 2 people, right? But they are really strong. I admit, they might be at Suzu's level if they weren't controlled." whispered Liu Xiu as he wiped the blood on the edge of his lips.

"Ha ha ha! You think with your naivety, you can beat me?! You fooler! A fool! Naive bastard!" the mad scientist laughed at Liu Xiu who was desperately trying to stay awake.

"Whisper you!" liu Xiu grumbled as he threw the knife hidden behind his shirt into the sidelines of the root wrapped around the scientist, which was right in his stomach.

Shouts rang out, but soon one of the roots covered his mouth at Liu Xiu's orders.

"That's better." ridiculed Liu Xiu.

"As far as you know, I'm not so naive as to think about saving everyone. But I thought, this is all I can do for a dead man."

"Just pray and do nothing? It's bullshit! It's just a fool hoping for a miracle to happen. I'll repeat it for you. It is better for you to do a concrete action than a prayer." Liu Xiu said. His anger was evident in every word he spoke.

He looked at the two remaining people. But it only makes the anger more heightened.

Actually Liu Xiu wanted to rest longer, but it seemed that he was his enemy not allowing him. The two men immediately attacked Liu Xiu simultaneously from right, left, up, down, even all over Liu Xiu.

"Damn!!" Liu Xiu shrieked softly as his left arm slashed against the Elf's sword.

Liu Xiu's movements were now much slower than his initial movements, so he understood that a little. But....

"My injuries grew?!!" liu Xiu whispered in surprise. The wound that originally only looked like a scratch now enlarged like a cut, and seemed to be getting bigger again.

"I have to finish this quickly!!" liu Xiu.

That way, he should focus. Liu Xiu would use his maximum speed again, but this was for quite a long time. Because, if he did not do so, Liu Xiu thought that there would not be enough of his usual ability to take down the two of them.

Liu Xiu took a good breath for a moment, as his two enemies came closing in quickly.

"Release!!" liu Xiu whispered softly as he began to open his eyes.

He was a little incredulous but he managed to do so. As he had once felt, the world seemed to be becoming slower, and the quick movements of the two people coming towards him became slower!

"This is amazing. I'm so grateful to you, Brother Ruly!" liu Xiu said with a smile.

He immediately moved using his usual speed and hit both of his enemies in various places. The two of them did not move, because Liu Xiu's time actually moved much faster than the two of them, making them look like they had stopped.

But after taking a few punches, Liu Xiu stopped, then returned his breath to normal.

Arrive arrived....

THE BAMMM!!!

A sound of feeling is heard. It was a sound produced by the two people who crashed into the wall violently, slightly crushing him.

"T-No way!! What kind of speed is that?? That's crazy!! Y-you?!!" the scientist was staggered to see what was happening before his eyes.

"Huff. In this way, my task is done." said Liu Xiu slowly as he walked over to the white-haired Beast, as well as the Elf who was still lying with the sword in his hand. The two of them were now unconscious, but Liu Xiu had already refrained from bringing them to such a dangerous stage.

After drinking the potion to the two of them, Liu Xiu gathered him that person in one place, putting him to sleep.

"alright. It is time for me to take care of you." Liu Xiu said as he turned around.

"Die!!" the scientist felt a chill envelop his body.

It was a hateful look in Liu Xiu's eyes, but he also glanced towards the seven people who had fainted around him. And you could say, he was worried about them.

("Somehow I managed to get the Dark Magic overdose out of them. But if they did not manage to control the Dark Magic left inside their bodies, they would have already died!") thought Liu Xiu slightly grimacing.

He thought for a moment, then sighed, looking tired.

"alright. I will be kind to you, because I am in a hurry" Liu Xiu said as he walked slowly towards the scientist.

"Yes! Nice one!! Thank you!! If you let me go, I'll give you as much information as you want! I'll follow you! I will also give you a lot of money and power!" the scientist said while luring at Liu Xiu.

The scientist smiled as Liu Xiu approached him with a hand that touched the root of that root.

But....

"All evil that exists, will always return to its fullness! Suck up all the bad things in this world, and accept my sacrifice!!" liu Xiu shouted loudly.

The scientist looked puzzled by what Liu Xiu said, but Liu Xiu only closed his eyes while looking focused.

Moments later, an explosion of light occurred in Liu Xiu's hands.

"A-What? What's this?!" the scientist screamed in fear when it all happened. He felt bad things were going to happen. For that, he tried thrashing to try to escape from the roots of that root.

Meanwhile Liu Xiu grew more serious, repeating the sentence earlier while continuing to close his eyes.

That way the explosion of light happened again, and it happened again and again until now the room was full of light. The light extended, even to the outside, and almost to the entire forest.

It was even felt as far as the World Tree, where the citizens were placed with the suddenly luminous land.

Xi who saw that immediately analyzed what was happening, while looking at the plants that were starting to grow taller and taller by themselves.

"This magic?! Don't say?!!" shouted Xi. He seemed to know about the light covering this entire forest. Xi immediately ran out, and felt the same, the same magic as hers.

In contrast to Liu Xiu who was still focused on chanting the same spell, the scientist who became the center of the light grew even more panicked.

"Hey hey!! What are you going to do?!! This is no good! This is no good!! I know this is not a good thing!! Hey motherfucker!! Don't just shut up and answer me!!" the scientist grew more frightened.

Meanwhile, the light grew stronger, and began to form small fireflies that flew from the glowing ground, towards the beautiful night sky.

The light formed the silhouette of a person, before its end it flew towards Liu Xiu, as it penetrated into his body.

Liu Xiu slightly sensed it all, and began to open his eyes.

But the one before him was no longer a dark room and a mad scientist locked in a root. It turned into a white room filled with people, like waiting for Liu Xiu with full of smiles.

"W-What, this?!!" ask Liu Xiu quietly.

"Welcome, Liu Xiu" said one of them starting to advance forward. It was a Knight who used full armour all over his body.

"That soul." muttered Liu Xiu for a moment.

"Ahh, I'm sorry." The knight released his head immediately. Looks handsome face blonde with a short cut that appears behind the head protector.

"Include me, I'm a former hero, or perhaps a hero from another world, Albert" he said.

It made Liu Xiu surprised to hear that.

("Hero? Besides, another world? Am I wrong in hearing this?") liu Xiu asked in his heart. But with his [Poker Face] skill, it couldn't possibly be easily read from the outside.

"You must be wondering if that's true? But sorry, that's true." continued the man named Albert.

Now Liu Xiu raised his eyebrows, unable to hide his shock.

"I am a hero from another world, summoned to this world to defeat the evil demon king. Surely such a setting has often been heard by us otherworlders, but it might be foreign to you."

"As you know, a demon lord is a demon who has the ability to control and raise or create other demons. He came to destroy the world." he continued. Liu Xiu could not follow this conversation into confusion.

"Wait wait wait wait! You said demon king? There is no demon king in this world!" liu Xiu interrupted Albert's story.

It made Albert put on a confused face.

"Whatchu mean? There is no Demon King? How come? It should have been passed down well from 500 years ago, loh!! Besides, haven't you guys heard the story about the brave Albert along with his party setting out to save the world?" albert asked a little agitatedly.

"There's no such thing." Liu Xiu replied spontaneously.

"Ahh, so what am I fighting for that long? I guess I already have my own huge statue depicting my dashing figure!" rich while a little sad.

But let alone Liu Xiu, even the people gathered there did not know what Albert was talking about.

"Yes, Albert. I'm not saying that you're lying, or that you're just dreaming. I knew your abilities when I fought you earlier. So, may I ask about the details that happened about that Demon King?" liu Xiu asked trying to comfort her.

"Did? So you know who we are?" ask Albert.

"of course! I remember all of you. You are the undead knights I fought before I opened the main door, they are the ones I killed while in the hallway, and the rest of them are the ones who work outside." it was clearly Liu Xiu with a difficult face.

"But thinking that I killed you, I feel it is inappropriate to meet you here" Liu Xiu said with a bitter laugh.

"No, Liu Xiu. You didn't kill us." Someone started to move on.

"Eh?"

"You saved us, from the clutches of that old bastard" the others continued.

"You kill us, in the form of undead, pray for us, and even purify our souls. We can't help but thank you." replied the others.

"Yes! That's right!"

"You're our hero!"

"Thank you, Liu Xiu."

"Thanks to you, we're not tied to this world anymore!!"

All those cheers sounded praising Liu Xiu. Liu Xiu was a little surprised, but he was still gawking, staring with an astonished look.

"I didn't do so much" Liu Xiu replied softly.

"I can't even save you guys" he continued.

"No, Liu Xiu. The fact is you saved us. For our deaths, it is inevitable because we died even before you were born, Liu Xiu. To be able to free us from this world, it was an incredible gift." the person just smiled calmly.

Meanwhile, Liu Xiu could not say a word hearing it all.

"Thank you, Liu Xiu. In fact, you have a hard time purifying our souls. You also broke your bond with the world so that we could go to the next world quietly. Some of them here also want to meet their kids and wives in nature, you know?" keep Albert.

He was already in good shape now, so he began to be able to string words together for all.

Liu Xiu looked around him, and knew they were all staring at Liu Xiu with respect and gratitude. It was an unusual thing for Liu Xiu. And with all the warm feelings flowing into his heart, Liu Xiu subconsciously smiled.

"Yes. But maybe because we don't have any more wishes or regrets, we'll probably leave soon" said one of the elders.

"Humm is right. If a soul has no business in the world, then obviously they will go to the next world." Albert continued.

"Therefore, we say goodbye. But we will give you a little memory, hopefully it will help you one day." the others smiled, then shook Liu Xiu's hand.

Other people around came closer, crowding around Liu Xiu, laughing together.

Shortly after, they began to glow, and disappeared into particles of light particles that danced momentarily in the air, and there were some that entered Liu Xiu's body. The rest of the light then spread out, making the snow a beautiful light.

"It was quite heartwarming" Albert said.

"Wait on! Why are you still here?!" shouted Liu Xiu who realized that Albert was still standing before him.

"You know, I still have some regrets, that's why my soul can't go to the next realm yet" he replied easily.

"Ohh. Because you still want your big statue?"

"Not that, you fool!!"

"So?" liu Xiu asked as he crossed his arms looking at Albert suspiciously.

"I want to explain some of the things I know. At first I was calm when my soul was purified. But hearing that there are no Demon Lords in this world makes me even more curious." replied Albert.

And actually, Liu Xiu was also curious about that. He was quite grateful Albert didn't disappear with the others.

"First of all, let's go with my story first so you can believe it" Albert said.

"No. It'll be a long time. People who are still alive will need my help, you know?" Liu Xiu slightly raised his hand, showing his worry.

"Look easy. It is a different space that is not affected by the concept of time. Even if you're here for hundreds of years, it won't affect the time outside. You could say, time here stops." replied Albert.

Hearing that, Liu Xiu could calm down now.

"All right."

"Good! Where do I start then?" albert asked with a smile.
