ACT 5: Chapter 23 - Determination and the Black Shadow
"HRAAHHHH!!!!" as the Devil was busy bragging, Luna did not think of that, and moved.
He kicked the ground, and moved as fast as he could to attack Gerudo.
?!!
In the blink of an eye, Luna was already before the Devil, brandishing the spear in her right hand towards Gerudo's neck!
("No way?!!") gerudo's heart cried out in disbelief. Because, Luna moved and threatened Gerudo to kill him, in just a pause of less than a second!!
But in the space of a split second, Gerudo managed to fend off Luna's spear. But Luna had predicted that, and slapped the sword in her left hand, pointing towards Gerudo's head.
("I can't stop it!!") Gerudo cried out in panic, as he gave too much power to fend off Luna's spear.
Therefore, when Luna attacked Gerudo's head with her left hand, Gerudo could not take back his hand to fend off his attack this time. Luna's sword was getting closer, and Gerudo only had the option to dodge.
With all his might, Gerudo moved his head, avoiding the swing of the sword. But he didn't fully escape Luna's attack.
TTRRAAKK!!
A cracking sound rang out, and shards flew from Gerudo's head. It was his horn that was cut off!
Gerudo immediately went up, but Luna really did not give him the slightest gap. His left hand was now on the right, and his position was on Gerudo's back. He flipped the spear in his right hand, and thrust it backwards, towards the chest.
Even Gerudo who was about to attack restrained himself, and took the time to shift the course of the spear, dodging Gerudo's vital parts.
Luna really did not give the slightest gap for Gerudo to breathe, or even blink in the slightest.
All of Luna's attacks were extremely fast, and accurate. Every single one of his attacks could kill Gerudo instantly. Accepting that, Gerudo had no choice but to dodge and retreat.
But Luna's speed exceeded Gerudo's vision. Several times, Luna's sword managed to pry some parts of Gerudo's body, and his spear also stuck to his arms, stomach, and even cheeks. That made Gerudo wonder.
("How is it possible? I'm sure he used his race-specific skill earlier, but why is he still getting stronger?") gerudo's mind panickedly asked.
The special ability of the Beast race was to unleash the power of the animals present within their bodies.
Basically, the ability to release boundaries that only humans could use imitated the concept of this skill, but it was even more perfect as it was able to open up to 10 parts.
But, there were some special descendants within the Beast, who could use special skills.
Blood Break, was a skill that could strengthen their bodies to 10 times over.
This skill makes use of a heart that pumps blood much faster than normal, and hardens blood throughout the body, it can make muscles work faster and more optimally. It also stimulates the brain to turn off the danger sensors on the body, making them able to attack without fear.
In other words, the Beast using this skill would not care about his own body, and only focused on attacking the enemy.
Luna, who was now much stronger than the Devil, chased Gerudo wherever she ran.
Explosions occur where, making the ground surface more destroyed than before. Luna also deliberately made dust, because her five senses were now better than Gerudo, making it difficult to fight her.
The clash happened many times, and in just 10 seconds, hundreds of sword clanking sounds had already been heard. It signified how powerful the sword abilities of the two of them were.
Sara looked at her brother who was fighting it out, and continued to attack relentlessly.
"Sister, he's really focused on this, isn't he?" ask Sara slowly. The magic formula in his hand was almost finished, and he could relax his concentration now.
"Then!!" Sara added her Fehl to the magic array, making it seem much more dangerous.
And in the next ten seconds, Luna's movements slowed down slightly. But that was enough for Sara to finish her magic.
"This is the time!!" Sara screamed, and lifted her catalyst book.
Instantly, a magic circle appeared around Sara's feet, and like a tornado, the fire started to spin and blaze like a ring of fire. Not only that, the same circle also appeared under Wyvern, making his rider startled, and trying to run away.
"Just run! City Level Magic!" Sara shouted that, and the book that was brought began to open quickly, and finally closed.
Gerudo and Luna saw that from quite a distance. And Gerudo who knew his partner was in danger, he tried to run away from Luna, not caring about anything.
But Luna couldn't possibly let it go. He saw it as a gap. Luna then threw the spear in her right hand, towards Gerudo's feet. It caused him to fall with severe injuries to his leg.
"AARGHHH!!!" a raucous shout rang out from Gerudo's mouth that fell on the ground, trying to crawl towards his friend.
Since Luna managed to buy some time, Sara was able to cast all her magic in this attack.
"Receive this!" Sara raised her hand, and pointed towards the already bound Wyvern.
"EXPLOOSIOOONN!!!!!" his yell. After shouting that, he fell down like there was no energy. But suddenly, his eyes gave a vision.
He wanted to tell Luna. But honey, even just to talk, he had no energy for it.
BUMMMM.... DOOORR!!!
The explosion occurred, forming a pillar of fire that was like hell, scorching the Wyvern easily into dust. The demon who was there also shouted, looking to be eroded, but there was one left.
BZZZZTTTT DOR DOR DOR
From the middle of the magic comes another magic, which drains lightning and blasts around. Luna sees danger, tries to jump, saves Sara. But....
("My body? I can't move it!?") shouted Luna while half asking in her heart.
("Why? Why won't my body move?!!") he's really panicking right now. It was a side effect after he used Blood Break.
Not only that, his own thoughts also prevented him from moving.
The reason is, he knows. He couldn't help Sara. Even to escape alone, he was not necessarily able to survive. And if she manages to survive, she must accept the fact that she left Sara. Imagining it was already painful enough for her, so she stopped.
"Sara, forgive me." whispered Luna softly, before beginning to lose her balance, while continuing to stare at Sara who was already unable to move out of Mana.
?!!
A black shadow strikes Sara, just before a bolt of lightning blows up where Sara is. Luna was a little surprised to see that, and realized the shadow was moving rapidly towards her, without focusing in the other direction.
"He?" Luna was a little confused to see that, but she immediately regained consciousness.
Without hesitation, Luna immediately pointed her sword at the black shadow. But what happened was different to what he expected.
The shadow easily passed through Luna's sword!!
("What is that?!! What was that move? I'm sure I'm fast enough to deliver a surprise attack!! Also, the speed is very fast! I must use Blood Break to defeat him!") luna screams in her heart.
That way, he was carried away by a black shadow, along with Sara running as far away from the area as possible.
