ACT 4: Chapter 20 - A Little Story
"I didn't let go of that protector to just Xi, you idiot! I also released that protector to you!" answer Sova.
"Eh?" a foolish voice sounded from Liu Xiu's direction.
"Yes. I not only removed the protectors from Xi, but also removed your protectors. But as you can see, nothing happened to you. It's really weird how it doesn't work on other people." Sova explained.
Liu Xiu immediately thought of digesting Sova's statement. But he can't find anything right except because he's human, and it won't work on humans.
But while doing that he also put Xi to bed who was still somewhat surprised by the changes that were happening within his body. She helped Sova to lay Xi's body somewhere else, which was close to them. And with some of Sova's abilities, Xi could sleep easily now.
"You know? I also tried to take off my guard when I tried to intimidate you, but somehow you're okay" Sova said as they returned to their seats.
("This guy, dangerous!!") inner Liu Xiu half shouted.
"So, how could you possibly have a Divinity?" ask Liu Xiu.
It made Sova stop drinking tea in her glass, and put it while looking at her glass like remembering something.
"Well, you already know for yourself that the power I have is very strong, arguably even one that can destroy the planet. But I'm lucky I'm not that stupid. If the planet's destroyed, I don't know where I'll live."
"Since I have the ability to destroy this planet, in other words I can hold the destiny of this planet, I can be on par with a god."
"You could say, that's the origin I have of divinity. Since I rarely meet the citizens of the mortal world, then my Divinity is not trained enough to only be expelled at any given moment" he said with a smile.
Liu Xiu was a little astonished, but he seemed to have past memories of himself and Ren Larvest, making him able to believe that.
("I really don't know what to say right now.") Liu Xiu thought.
"You know, there may be something else protecting you, which keeps you from being affected by my Divinity. But it's lucky for you, so you can face that bastard" Sova said.
It immediately reminded Liu Xiu of Kei, but he wouldn't dare reveal it here.
"You said you were one. Are there many people who have the same abilities?" ask Liu Xiu.
"Ha ha ha! That's a silly question! It was obvious, and compared to all of them, I was just a little ant that was nothing!!" replied Sova laughing out loud.
"There are more than 10 figures who can destroy this planet in this world right now. And their existence is not affected by anything. So, are you one of them?" ask Sova.
It made Liu Xiu laugh amusedly.
"You know I'm an ordinary human being, don't you? Even I can't use magic." Liu Xiu replied.
It made Sova flinch.
("I can confirm that this child did not lie from his voice and my skills. But I also felt magic energy overflowing from his body! Besides, I also felt other existences, such as the existence of that person. Yep. Lord of Wrath.") Sova thought when she heard that.
"You could've used magic, right?" tanya Sova probed.
"Ahh, I really can't lie to you" Liu Xiu said softly. It made Sova a little excited, and looked forward to what happened to Liu Xiu.
That again made Sova surprised.
("This man... Did he not know that he could still use magic? And again, it's Dark Magic! I don't feel the nature magic on her body.") Sova thought again.
("L-it's better not to tell her, because it will threaten me.") a little cold sweat came out when imagining Liu Xiu killing her to gain more power.
"alright. Why did one of the gods on this planet ask me for help? That's pretty weird!!" said Liu Xiu who was trying to distract.
"Gohum!! You know, I'm a tree. So I can't go anywhere. And the range where I can channel my power is where there are plants. So, the characteristics of Dark Magic that kill all the plants that are within range trouble me." Sova replied slightly coughed.
"And also, even if I use a long-range attack, it won't work on a barrier made of Dark Magic" Sova continued.
Thanks to all those explanations, Liu Xiu finally understood.
"So so. To maintain the balance of the world, you who are too strong in your area are given a very high weakness towards Dark Magic, so.." Liu Xiu said as he nodded his head.
"So, can you save the seven of them?" liu Xiu asked in a serious tone.
Sova heard it take a breath, then drank her tea.
"I can do it, because the one who did it wasn't me. I gave them the power, channeled them to Fairy's boy there, and saved them. It's that easy." said Sova.
"Hey hey hey! It's easy for you, but what about Xi Isn't he going to die?!!" liu Xiu asked slightly knocking on the table.
"No. I don't take that road. That's why we need a dealer" Sova said mysteriously.
"You will be the channeler between that Fairy boy and those seven people. Wh why? You have a high affinity with Daek Magic, so nothing special will happen if you intercede on this. Is that enough?" ask Sova.
It made Liu Xiu calm down, and nodded in agreement.
"Then we have to move down. You can't do it here, because chances are they'll die as soon as they wake up, and before I put a protector on them. It would be troublesome." said Sova again.
"Alright, if it must be." Liu Xiu replied.
Liu Xiu started to stand up, and walked over to Xi, intending to wake him up because this conversation was almost over.
"Wait!" sova said stop Liu Xiu.
She suddenly hugged Sova from behind, and stopped her. It made Liu Xiu startled and slightly flushed red as the attack arrived, plus there was no skill in it.
"Let me give you a gift. This will be useful in the future" Sova said slowly. Liu Xiu simply nodded as he felt something pressing behind him further.
But the moment it happened, he felt something in his body open up. It made his body feel lighter, and more powerful. The change greatly shocked Liu Xiu.
But more surprised was Sova. Because when he channeled energy at Liu Xiu, he sensed.
("How could he possibly be filled with this kind of life energy?!! Clearly all Dark Magic would not be able to have any effect on him!!") soya's heart shivered when she realized that.
