Become A Human In Another World
ACT 6: Chapter 8 - The Battle that Begins

Ignorance, it was something that obviously scared everyone. And that is what the group of Ruly experienced. They were attacked by something they don't know now.

("What should I do? The distance to the city of Ceria is still about half a day longer if walking from here. It's a little impossible to ask for help. Besides, Miss's safety is paramount.") Kurls' heart began to choose.

He knows it's dangerous. In fact, it was unthinkable for her to win against something she was currently fighting against.

Naturally, Kurls would not let go of all of them without a fight. But he also understood that he was not a worthy opponent for her.

And he was just thinking of becoming bait so that Lulu and Ruly could escape.

"Ofstool..." Kurls looked at Lulu, hoping her thoughts were conveyed.

Lulu nodded slowly, seemingly understanding. After all, they had already been given some training in case something unexpected like this happened.

Kurls took a slow breath, before shouting.

"Get out you coward! I know you were there. Don't hide behind this monster! If you do, you're just a weak little fish, you fucking crap!!" shout Kurls.

It was unusual for Kurls to do so, so Ruly was a little surprised to see the change in Kurls' attitude arriving. But, Lulu immediately pulled on Ruly, taking her away from the place immediately. Initially, Ruly was reluctant to leave Kurls alone. But after Lulu says that they will only be a burden, Ruly with a heavy heart does her.

"Khu khu khu.... You know someone's controlling them? I thought you were no ordinary person. And as always, my senses are just right!" said someone from the sky who laughed softly.

His figure was a young man, covered in a pitch-black mantle that looked similar to the thing Kurls thought was a monster. The other was Dark Magic.

With his proportional face and Dark Magic controlling ability, it was unmistakable that it was Gordo.

("Ugh... I'm really just guessing there's someone else controlling this monster, but like that it's true, isn't it? And also, this might not be a monster, but something part of the young man.") Kurls thought quickly.

Gordo floated closer, still with a smile on his face.

"I can see from how you acted earlier, and react quickly to every attack I give."

Gordo just guessed randomly there, but it's true. Even a 5-year-old would know that after seeing the scene just now!

But I heard that, Kurls let out a long sigh.

He knew, all he had to do now was not quickly start a fight, or provoke an opponent. All he had to do now was to impede the opponent's movement in order for Ruly and Lulu to escape.

"Well, that's how it is. I was no ordinary waiter, nor any ordinary coachman. I am Kurls, a former Adventurer with Assassin class!" shouted Kurls while preparing the two daggers in her hands.

It was a very precious short moment, and Kurls knew it. That's why he introduced himself.

"And also, I belong to the top Adventurer faction, so I hope you don't underestimate me in terms of one-on-one combat! If it's in killing, I'm a little confident in my abilities!" kurls said a little bragging.

Though he knew, he would not be able to win against the figure before him now.

Gordo who saw that laughed, and clapped his hands happily. Kurls did not understand what Gordo was doing, but he only prepared with a dagger and some hidden tools that he could throw at any moment.

"Yes yes! You're so cool! Especially when being in style with those two daggers! You look right like a top adventurer! But let me tell you, that Assassin's name is like this!" said Gordo, with a mocking laugh still pictured on his face.

Gordo then moves his right hand to move the Dark magic that surrounds him. It flew towards the Kurls at a very high speed. But....

RASHH!!!

The Dark Magic that Gordo sent to attack the Kurls were all split apart, and fell to the ground in the same shape and size.

"Did?" gordo asked quietly, surprised.

Seeing that, Kurls slightly held a sigh of relief, but at the same time took a bit of time.
