ACT 4: Chapter 21 - The Strange Ritual
"What did you do to me?! It's so good it's got to a terrible stage!!" liu Xiu asked excitedly to Sova when Sova finished giving something to Liu Xiu.
"I'm just helping you take off the barrier that's on the human body. You know, there are 8 barriers in every human being. And by taking everything off, you can be on par with the Beast's ability" Sova said. It obviously made Liu Xiu happy to hear that.
"But this is really dangerous, especially when the human body is not strong enough to open up to the 8 barriers. But thanks to your hard work, opening the barrier on your body is very easy." continued Sova.
"I-That's amazing. I never knew it before." Liu Xiu replied somewhat brick-styled.
"Yahh, because it is a forbidden information. If all humans knew that information, there would be no humans still alive now" Sova joked slightly.
"That humm sounds realistic, so I will refrain from opening this barrier unless there is an emergency" Liu Xiu smiled.
He then woke up Xi who was still sound asleep, and invited them back.
When they went out and met with Pulan, Pulan was surprised because they had only been in for a while, but why did they go out. It made Xi and Liu Xiu look at each other and laugh.
Aided by Sova, the two of them and the seven fainted women were taken to the altar of Xi's house, to perform the ritual there.
Xi had also been told by Liu Xiu, about the ritual, and Xi stated that he was capable of it.
After some preparation, the ritual finally began.
"When you're ready, Liu Xiu!" xi said while starting some magical moves.
Liu Xiu nodded and invited his body to intercede for this ritual. He used his best suit which had a high affinity towards magic.
It looked to match the mysterious-looking Liu Xiu, as he basically rarely used the suit.
But Xi was too focused on the ritual to realize it, and she started to recite the incantation.
"With the power of nature, we return all of it to its origin, and push it to control its body!" xi shouted out loudly while doing some supporting movements.
Xi's body now glowed golden, making a truly majestic aura radiate from him.
He advanced slowly, while continuing to focus on the light that was on him. It flowed into his hands just like the [Purify] magic that Liu Xiu used when purifying the entire forest. But the light produced could not be compared to that.
Xi touched Liu Xiu with that light-filled hand, and immediately the light entered Liu Xiu's body.
DUG!!
Liu Xiu felt a jolt in his body for a moment, as he felt something different.
"Hiiii!??" Xi jumped back as Liu Xiu's body began to look changed. His body was now covered with magic, but not the golden magic that Xi channeled to him, but what enveloped Liu Xiu was Dark Magic.
"I-This?!" liu Xiu said softly as he looked at his body again.
He felt so full of magic now, that even he felt it was enough to make a great magic.
("There's no way he knows that, right?") liu Xiu asked inwardly while slightly smiling.
Yep. One magic that can cure everything, [Sanctuary]. But since Liu Xiu could not use Light Magic, it made what gathered around him was Dark Magic.
He drew some shapes for a moment, before shouting out the magic.
"Rise up, [Dark Sanctuary]!!" liu Xiu shouted after saying a few words similar to a mantra. It was a rune that Liu Xiu had made for the original version of [Sanctuary], but now he had slightly changed that magic rune since he was now using Dark Magic.
From the ground he was stepping on began to appear a black blur revolving around Liu Xiu. It spread to the surrounding area, and covered the seven women who had fainted.
It slowly formed a pillar pillar at the edge of the circle, and eventually formed a dome at the top.
From the upper dome, began to form a large bell, which slowly tilted the land, as if pulled by something. And after that everything is perfectly formed....
THE THROAT!!
The loud sound from the bell shocked Xi and Pulan who were watching her.
But thanks to the bell, a black dust descended, showering the seven who had fainted. It creates some conflict, such as turning for a moment, or slightly exploding before finally getting into each of the woman's bodies.
The dome's shape began to fade, and Liu Xiu returned to his original form.
He also immediately put the suit back in and came back like the usual Liu Xiu.
"Hows it? Do you like my appearance?" liu Xiu asked as he began to approach Xi with a laugh and a bit of judging Xi.
"I'm confused if you're really a human being" Xi said as he sat down and shook his head.
"Hey hey. Don't say that. I told you I was human, right? It's a little painful if you keep saying that I'm not human. Liu Xiu replied while pretending to be annoyed.
"No no no no. You are truly inhumane." Xi replied shaking his head quickly.
Liu Xiu only smiled wryly hearing that, but let it go.
"How are they doing now?" xi asked Liu Xiu.
"They're good. It's only a matter of time that they'll wake up soon. I wanted to bring them inside, but I was too tired for that." Liu Xiu said as he sat next to Xi, breaking down.
"Is that so exhausting?" ask Xi.
"What did you say? I worked all night, and after the battle, we were immediately summoned by Sova, and after that immediately performed this ritual. I'm not tired in terms of physique, but I'm mentally tired." Liu Xiu replied with a laugh, mocking himself.
"Hummmmd. Maybe it's one of the human sides of you" Xi replied slightly jokingly.
Liu Xiu looked at the beautiful night sky. Soon the sun will rise, so the sky is also quite bright in the east.
"You must take care of them, Liu Xiu. You choose to save them, then it will look irresponsible if you abandon them" Xi said with a laugh.
"I didn't mean to" Liu Xiu replied.
"I want them to take their own path. After all, they are the same as me, as we are all living beings. They must have had a wish. Let me give them life lessons, but in the future I will let them stand alone." Liu Xiu continued.
