ACT 2: Interlude 1 - Edna's Problem
"Why does Uncle Childe want to see Ren? Did he do something wrong?" Ruly asked, as she began to slowly leave Ren's room. He invited Edna to his room.
"Hey brother! What's wrong with Uncle Childe? I'm a little worried." Ruly surprised. He was surprised Edna could express it clearly, or just read Ruly's mind.
"A-ah, brother doesn't know either, maybe Uncle Childe wants to thank you a little? Because, yesterday Ren had helped a lot during the coordination meeting of Guild members." Ruly replied while looking thoughtful.
"Uhh, even though Ren's tea is delicious! I can't spend it!" Said Edna. He intended to comfort Ruly, keeping him away from negative thoughts.
"Ahh, you're right! I don't know how, but the tea Ren made was delicious. Although I had brought tea, but once he did something to the tea, it made it the perfect tea!" Ruly smiled knot.
"But Edna, what did you mean?" Rule tries to find a topic that is not too heavy for them to discuss.
Edna fell silent, trying to think of what a suitable answer to that was, because to be honest, this was a difficult matter to say, let alone in front of Ruly.
"Ahh, how to say it, this is a bit difficult." Edna smiled, but the smile was forced.
Edna also felt that it actually didn't hurt to tell Ruly either.
Rule did not answer that, because in his heart he knew, that Edna herself was a smart child. He had no right to mess with his mind.
But Edna herself had already decided. He thought: "If there were more and more people it would get better!"
"Well, actually I have a little problem with magic. I can only use light and space elements. Although it was amazing, but it was rendered useless by friends, and they mocked me a little." Edna started telling stories.
"Light elements are usually synonymous with healing, and space is considered not very useful. But, can't you use the ice element, Edna?" Date Rule.
Actually, Ruly began to understand the problem, because it was before that Ruly also had a problem with magic. But because of Ren, it's all gone.
For Ruly, Ren is a younger brother and a figure she respects. Though no one knows, he moves on to become a hero from behind a shadow, making him rise from his downturn.
"Yes. But I can only use a little ice." Edna began to cast spells.
"[Aycias blall]! Just like this!" Edna shouted a spell. And with a few seconds, it appeared.
A small ball of ice appeared in Edna's hand, perhaps about 5 cm in diameter, and floated quietly above it.
Although the gap between the Edna chant and the magic discharge time is about 2 seconds, but it is quite fast, because such a chant usually takes 3-4 seconds.
And for more complicated magic, it requires a longer cast of spells.
"Well, you're amazing. I'm not very good at magic, but I can use water magic. It's all because of Ren! Do you believe it? He could even use 5 elements simultaneously!" Answer Rule.
"Really?! Ren can be five elements?" now Edna asked with eyes that flashed with lightning.
"Other than that ice magic! That's rare, isn't it?" Ruly tried to comfort Edna.
The ice element in this world was actually created because of the wind and water elements put together. Because the image gives it enough cold wind to freeze the water, the ice element is created.
"Yes, but-" Edna let out a slow sigh as Ruly interrupted.
"It's okay! Surely Ren has his own way through it! He'll think about it for you. That's sure!" Ruly held both of Edna's hands, reassuring her.
"If Ruly's sister says that, I'll believe it." Edna smiled happily.
Ruly did not even smile because of that. He was happy, could help his little sister a little. Although for Ren's case, he was precisely the one who felt helped continuously.
("Ren, you really are a magical child huh? I'll try to learn a lot from you!") Edna nodded in her smile.
