ACT 5: Chapter 27 - Performing
"Huff... It's quite tiring, to run around, so that Rhion doesn't realize" said someone quietly while looking for the right spot on top of the tree.
It was Liu Xiu, who had already dashed through the forest, to look for Rhion's whereabouts, and he realized the new Rhion was almost to the outskirts of the explosion. He had also already changed his form back to Liu Xiu normally.
At the very least, Liu Xiu was grateful for choosing to leave Rhion so that he could depart faster to the scene.
Otherwise, he would have missed the Luna and Demon fight earlier, and it could have been that Luna and Sara were now either dead or severely injured from the explosion earlier.
From afar, Liu Xiu noticed Rhion surrounding the place with a wary face.
"It looks like he's looking for clues about this incident, isn't he? Yahh, as other Adventurers used to do." whispered Liu Xiu as he watched Rhion from a distance.
Of course, he removed all desire while watching Rhion, if Rhion could feel his gaze from a distance. Such was the case of Liu Xiu, who could feel the gaze of a person from a distance, or the killing feeling that flowed within his gaze.
Although that's a little impossible, because very rarely people can do that.
"Yahh, however he searched so hard, there would be nothing left in this place. After all, the explosion destroyed all the evidence, even the traces of magic, and the mana around it was destroyed as well. What a terrifying race magic." muttered Liu Xiu while slightly exhaling tired breaths.
DUGG?!!
Again, Liu Xiu's heart was beating violently, just like the first time Liu Xiu met Rhion in the forest.
"What feeling is this? Fear again? It can't be!" Liu Xiu tried his hardest to deny, but his body did not.
He noticed what Rhion was doing, while his body trembled. Once again, Liu Xiu made sure, that he was not afraid at all. But some things inside him justify that.
Meanwhile, Rhion had only performed a few small rituals there, but it was getting even scarier for Liu Xiu.
"What'sthis? What the hell is this? What's wrong with my body? Am I afraid of him? What ability? Isn't he just an ordinary spirit swordsman?" liu Xiu asked annoyedly not accepting her continuing to retreat from Rhion.
Until the end, he realized.
"wait. Spirit Swordsman? Why would he bother to look for life energy? Isn't she an Elf? And it should be easier for him to learn magic, right? Besides that..." Liu Xiu turned his hand to his chin, trying to think a little.
"This life energy is not something that is easy to use, or arguably not commonly used in this world" he said again.
He used the [Evaluator] to assess Rhion, and see if he was lying or not.
"Huff. I used a lot of skills that have been unused for a long time today, right? It bothers me a little" Liu Xiu said again.
He assesses Rhion, and finds he is not lying about his identity. But he found something interesting.
"Huum. Same case with Ruly's sister, huh? He had very little Fehl, for the size of an Elf. But he has some incredible skills!" liu Xiu said, when he saw that there were some rare skills there.
"But what title is this? "A Bad Dream for Spirit"? I don't know if it's a good title or not?" Liu Xiu muttered, while observing Rhion's status.
It had been a while for Liu Xiu to stalk Rhion, perhaps it was time for him to appear.
He jumped down from the tree, and began to position himself so that he was seen chasing after Rhion. Not to forget, Liu Xiu arranged for his breathing to be even faster, sounding like he was panting.
"Huuffft.... Huhh! Is here?" from the depths of the forest, Liu Xiu slightly hobbled towards the scene of the explosion.
Rhion who heard that slightly snorted for a moment, before changing his face and shouting.
"Hey! Liu Xiu's! Comehere! Hurry up!!" he shouted while waving both his hands, giving a sign. Liu Xiu only looked puzzled, and tried to seem to force himself to run further.
As Liu Xiu ran, and out of the forest he made a shocked face as if in disbelief.
"Hwa wa wa wa wa! Wh why? Wh-what?! How could this possibly happen?" liu Xiu asked as he slightly closed his mouth. With the [Poker Face] skill that was always active, his lies became perfect.
"Don't ask me. I just got here, and heard some terrible explosions, as well as an incredible pillar of fire. Did you see him?" ask Rhion.
"Y-yes. I saw him in the distance. I thought it was just an illusion, but I didn't think it was real." Liu Xiu replied.
Rhion seemed to think for a moment, and looked around, seemingly searching and planning something.
"Hummmmd. If the magic that is issued is that big, I am sure there is something or thing that must be defeated with such a big magic. In other words, there are some beings as powerful as that roaming around in this city" Rhion said analyzing.
Liu Xiu was a little sleepy hearing Rhion's analysis, but still nodded in understanding.
But Liu Xiu was a little confused, why did he not think that there was a remnant magic nucleus in this place, because that was a sure thing. Although it has been erased, but it must be done.
It corroborated Liu Xiu's conjecture of thinking Rhion was no ordinary figure.
"Then, let's report to the Guild! Now the Guild must be in an uproar, because of this state of affairs. We should immediately report to the Guild!" liu Xiu said with passion.
"Eh? Ahh, no. You go first. I still have some things to do." Rhion replied slightly stuttering.
("Gacha!") liu Xiu's heart was delighted, as if it had found something.
"No Rhion. You're from Huang Xi city, aren't you? I'm sure your friend must be worried about you as well, so it's better that you go back for a moment to at least say that you're safe." Liu Xiu yelled a little forcefully.
Rhion looked slightly clicked his tongue, but Liu Xiu pretended not to know it.
"alright. Then let's go. But after that we should be back soon. At least, there must have been a clue left behind from the battle just now." Rhion replied firmly.
("No, you won't find anything, you know?") liu Xiu's mind slightly laughed.
But he was interested in one thing, where did the other demon go?
He was sure the actual mission coming another week from the Guild would be advanced, and turned into that Demon hunt.
("I'm a little sorry for not being able to study intensively with Jian Koo, but how else. There's so much to do. Ahh, if only everything didn't happen together..") Liu Xiu walked slowly, as his heart slightly complained.
