Become A Human In Another World

Become A Human In Another World
ACT 2: Interlude 3 - In Furyuun City

Ren's been gone long enough. It obviously caused confusion in the Adventurer Guild courtyard, but the sheer severity of the circumstances back then made it seem like there was nothing.

Suzu was still in shock, hearing the news just now, coupled with Ren's departure arriving.

"Sir Suzu, at least drink some water first to calm down." Aina already had a glass of water on the table, next to Suzu.

Kurls knows, too, how he is. He also knew Ren had arrived to go there. Now he was outside the door, guarding them both.

Even so, he also must have felt sad because it was his home.

"You know? What's going on?" Suzu was still in a daze even after a few hours had passed.

Aina stared concernedly at that.

("It's too painful! Sister Suzu came to like this. I hope nothing worse happens with Ren's sister.") Aina

She had already taken care of Suzu who was still in shock after such a long time. But he did not hold much hope for what happened in the city of Eldergale.

As he had just heard, that the attack that attacked the city of Eldergale was a Rank-S attack. That meant that the attack was even classed as a Dragon attack.

For a city to receive a Dragon attack, it was an extremely impossible thing for Aina.

But he also had a little hope for Ren.

(But after all, Brother Ren is still human. He may be strong, but it's no use if he's late.") Aina was still muttering in her heart.

There was nothing she could do to comfort Suzu now. Aina also realized that.

He was also waiting for the news of some adventurers rushing to depart for the city of Eldergale.

But he couldn't stand to keep quiet.

("I can't just stand here. I need to find some information. Otherwise, I would be useless!") Aina clenched her hands, annoyed.

("I want to be useful, at least. For Suzu's sister, for Ren's sister!") Aina put her feet out of the room. Even Suzu was unaware of Aina coming out of the room.

He met Kurls who was standing guard in front of the room.

"Uncle Kurls, please take care of Suzu." Kurls was melamine, surprised by Aina's greeting.

"But Aina, where are you going?" ask Kurls. There was a tone of anger, sadness, and worry mixed in his voice.

But the light in his eyes had started to disappear. It signified how he was already desperate with this all.

"Just calm! I'm just looking for information! I won't do anything weird either. Besides," Aina stopped.

"It would be harder for us if we didn't know any information. Whatever it is, be it good or bad, it will be easier for the injured here to find out soon." explained Aina, like she had already felt it herself.

"alright. Be careful on the road." said Kurls sambai waving his hand.

Aina stepped steadily out, trying to get around the city.

First, he visited the plaza, and asked everyone who was there.

But obviously no one will know about it.

"Hufft, not even a little bit of nobody knows it. Then, what if I head to the Adventurer Guild?" Aina muttered softly as her mind started to dead end.

There was a small street, which connected the square with the Adventurer Guild. Baby it's too quiet.

"Huh! If I don't get any information, it looks like I'm forced to go to the tavern." he walked down the street humming.

?!!

Aina sensed a danger from behind her, and immediately jumped to the side, rolling over.

And sure enough, a while later, there was someone with a knife behind him.

"Boss! He can escape! Is he really skilled?" he shouted at someone behind him.

The person he called the boss, using the cover of the face. Most likely to prevent his identity from being known to people.

He laughed, then observed Aina.

"Oh yeah? Looks like I found my lost stuff!" from his tone of speech, he sounded very happy.

Aina shaking. He really did not have the experience to fight in the slightest. Even after a long time being a carrier, Aina still could not learn the Adventurer's movements because it was limited by her "Seal" status.

He was really scared. He remembered when he was taken and made a slave.

One of them ambushed, trying to pounce on Aina.

("How is this? I really can't fight!") Aina simply closed her eyes while resignedly, when someone caught her hand, and tried to pull it.

"Eh? He's not moving!" a shout made Aina surprised.

He felt a pull, but he could fight it.

Little by little, he began to open his eyes. He saw the kidnapper who attacked him was holding his hand, and trying hard to pull him.

While Aina's hand can still survive even though it is still shaking.

("I? Why am I this strong?") Aina instantly noticed the changes that were on her body.

("But this is an opportunity!!") Aina immediately took the hand of the person in front of her, then threw the person behind, where one of them was.

It was a blow.

Even so, Aina really did not know anything about hitting.

The two kidnappers complained, as they collided. It was a bit praiseworthy since he instantly got up after being thrown like that.

"Boss! He's so strong! We can't fight him!" yell one of them protest.

"Don't be stupid! He is indeed strong, but he has no skills, stupid! Look, just surround yourself, and see what the end is!" said the boss.

With instructions from her, the five of them surrounded Aina, and even Aina was unable to think for now.

("If this is the case, I must run!") Aina shouted at him.

Aina immediately turned away from the six people, trying to get through the gap.

"I thought!" the boss who had been silent, suddenly darted, sweeping Aina's legs. Aina immediately fell down, but was held back with a few punches in the stomach, making her body twist and she ended up falling in the face down position.

"It's like catching a little rabbit!" the boss had already held both of Aina's little hands with his feet. It was impressive, but also cruel.

?!!

The person with the face cover felt danger, and immediately jumped back.

But he seemed to be late, because the cover had already been split, and it became two when it fell to the ground.

His left cheek also looked bloody.

"Oi oi! Just to catch this kid, you need to exert that much energy? Are you a baby?" a person descended quietly, using a thin thread so that it looked as if it was hovering.

"Uncle Kurls?!!" Aina screamed happily when she knew who saved her.

Immediately he turned his head towards the masked man, memorizing his face. But, it was a big mistake to look up.

Aina froze, looking at the face of the person who was there. The trauma of his past is back.

Kurls saw that, and immediately took action by attaching some threads to the surroundings of his enemy. It was clearly a dangerous trap. Wrong just a little, the limbs will be cut off!

"You know what happens if you move forward, don't you?" Kurls threatened that guy.

"Curtain! We're retreating!" he's clucking slowly.

"But I think the kid already knows who we are. Right so?" the masked man took out the fallen mask, then waved towards Aina.

Aina shuddered, still in shock.

"Go or I'll change my mind!!" Kurls shouted and then prepared a knife immediately.

The enemy smiled curiously, as they retreated. The Kurls kept watching them until they all disappeared from sight. Even so, Aina remained in shock, still unable to even stand up.

"Lady! Aina! Are you okay?!" Kurls immediately crouched down, hiding the knife again in her hand.

Kurls was really worried about Aina, when she started lifting her up.

But anyway, Aina had to say it.

"Uncle Kurls." Aina pulled on Kurls's shirt as she began to lift her up, cradling her.

"That guy. It was the old slave merchant!"
