ACT 4: Chapter 16 - Becoming a Disciple!
"A-ahh. Where's me?" a cliche sentence was uttered Liu Xiu when he woke up from his sleep. It's just that, looking around he didn't recognize where he was.
He realized that he was in a small wooden house. Even so, this felt very comfortable for him. Liu Xiu looked out the window, realizing that night was approaching.
"Ughs... Also true. I lost, did I? I lost that fight, didn't I?" liu Xiu said softly after recalling everything.
Recalling that, Liu Xiu clenched his hand slowly.
"It sucks! It sucks! Very very annoying!!" he said softly while punching the floor with his fist.
"He's just an ordinary Beast, isn't he? He didn't use any magic or marvelous magic. Why would I lose to him?! Whyyy?! Why?!" his teeth gritted, the more he shouted that dissatisfaction.
"Then, I'm not getting any stronger, am I?" whispered Liu Xiu. Now his eyes darkened, staring down.
It's dusk outside, the sign of the night is coming. Yuan Yi who finished training was also done, recalling the words of his grandfather who said that Liu Xiu would wake up at night. Therefore, he came home early today.
He slightly heard a voice sound from Liu Xiu's room, therefore he decided to eavesdrop for a bit.
Yuan Yi heard Liu Xiu who was dissatisfied with the result against Tang Xin, and a few other words. Hearing that, Yuan Yi simply muttered silently.
("He wasn't satisfied with getting such a good result after going against dad? I don't understand anymore.") he thought.
Since Liu Xiu had already stopped talking, Yuan Yi knocked on the door, shifted it and entered Liu Xiu's room.
"Liu Xiu's! You're conscious, aren't you?! Ahh, this is faster than I thought, but thank God! Are there places that feel weird or painful? If there is, please say. If it will become dangerous later on." Yuan Yi said after entering.
Liu Xiu smiled slightly, realizing that the one who had been listening to his words was Yuan Yi. But Liu Xiu was a little confused, why did he have to hide himself just now?
"I'm okay now. At least, after getting treatment from you and your grandfather, I'm fine." Liu Xiu replied calmly.
"Then that's good." Yuan Yi took some water, and offered Liu Xiu a drink.
Liu Xiu simply nodded, accepting it as suave as he should be. When he received the water, he remembered.
"Your father was an idealist, wasn't he?" liu Xiu said slowly.
Yuan Yi was a little surprised to hear that, but she also smiled bitterly.
"Yahh, you're right. My father really upholds the family name. He would do anything to keep Li's surname good. One of them is getting rid of me because of my lacking abilities." whispered Yuan Yi.
"I was crossed off the Li family heir list. He would raise a disciple whom he thought was good to be an heir. While I was banished." he continued.
Liu Xiu slightly nodded hearing that, while observing the sad expression of Yuan Yi.
"Do you want to be the Li family's heir?" ask Liu Xiu.
"It's unclear? I really want to be in that position! It was a great honor, one that even seemed like a dream to me! When asked if I wanted it, I obviously wanted it!" yelled Yuan Yi sure.
Liu Xiu nodded, but he felt that something was troubling his mind.
"You. Is that really what you think? Did you train hard just for that?" ask Liu Xiu.
"just? You are a freak. That's not something you could say "just", you know? I repeat once again, it is a position with great honor." Yuan Yi replied with a small laugh.
Liu Xiu heard it take a breath, feeling Yuan Yi did not understand what he wanted to say.
"alright. Are you training hard to get that honor, power, and so on? Do you feel you don't deserve to inherit that place because of your little Chi? And is that really what you want?" liu Xiu asked sharply.
Now Yuan Yi could not say a word. After all, Liu Xiu's words reached the deepest part of his heart. He knows what he's been worried about all along.
("She, though she looks like a child, but I don't know how much of her life experience. Is he a young man?") thought Yuan Yi.
There was a momentary silence, as they tried to guess each other's thoughts. But as a result, it was Liu Xiu who got more information.
"Yes yes. Let's end this topic here. It's not good for you to talk about heavy things after you get up, Liu Xiu" said Jian Koo who arrived to enter the room.
"really. I thought you'd get in sooner." said Liu Xiu.
("That means you've known Grandpa here since?") yuan Yi's mind asked with her slightly dodging eyes.
Jian Koo walked into the room, taking a seat between the two of them. He took some water, gulped it down a bit, while continuing to observe Yuan Yi and Liu Xiu. But both are silent.
"Why? Please just continue what you guys were talking about earlier." Jian Koo said somewhat confusedly.
Although Jian Koo actually knew, it was a bit awkward to say it in front of him, he kept waiting. Liu Xiu knew what Jian Koo wanted, and simply took a breath.
He who was originally sitting across from Yuan Yi got up, and walked towards the front of Jian Koo, and began to sit down.
Suddenly, Liu Xiu lowered his head, prostrating before Jian Koo. It clearly made the two people who saw it startled, unable to even say what!
"Please teach me to use life energy!" shouted Liu Xiu confidently.
Jian Koo and Yuan Yi gawked, only looking at each other in silence. But after a while, Jian Koo smiled, as did Yuan Yi. Yuan Yi would reply that it was indeed what her father wanted, but Jian Koo immediately stopped her.
"You know I can't just teach this science, right?" jian Koo said in a flat tone.

Even so, Liu Xiu had already jumped in delight, celebrating that. Well, indeed it was just his acting, but at least what he did made Jian Koo smile.
"But! You have to work hard! Nothing gets easily! You can't complain through any training!!" sidelines Jian Koo with a stern tone. Hearing that, Liu Xiu immediately changed his attitude, and sat back down.
"Understand me, Master!!" his yell.
("Ahh, hard training, huh? If it doesn't kill me, maybe I can handle it.") Liu Xiu lamented in his heart.
Yuan Yi at least understood the habits of the two people before her, only able to smile awkwardly.
("They are both really two of a kind!") thought.
