ACT 4: Interlude 1 - Day at the Academy
Ren walked into the classroom casually, and observed the surroundings. Of course, to look for magic users, while observing Edna who was increasingly disturbed. Maybe Edna had guessed what would happen next.
"alright. Since you want to take this class, please introduce your name first." The male teacher gave Ren a chance.
He almost called Ren your name!
"Hummmmd. Your name is Liu Xiu. I am the son of the Kingdom of South Africa,"
"I was here for an event from my parents, and now we are visiting Furyuun and stopping by Furyuun Academy. According to the news, the witch who was here was the best witch ever, right?" Ren did his acting perfectly.
Edna gave a sigh to hear that, while the teacher in front of the class saw her eyes whiten like she was about to faint.
"Wahh!! Outsiders!!"
"In addition, he's from South Africa!!"
"Try hearing her cute name, Liu Xiu! Isn't that pretty?!! Ahh, I also want a name like that!!!"
The situation soon becomes chaotic, with people talking to each other about Ren or the Kingdom of South Africa.
Meanwhile, Ren still scoured the entire room, until he looked at Reine who was trying to avoid Ren's gaze.
Ren immediately regained his senses and sent out a slight smile as Reine looked at him.
"Liu Xiu's! Sit down here! We'll get the best view to watch Edna explain this part!" one of the boys waved his hand.
It seemed like he was a little older than Ren, with his Academy uniform and hair neatly arranged to the side.
"Humm? Edna's? Explain something?"
"No!!" Edna shrieked softly as Ren glanced at her with narrowed eyes and slightly raised lips.
"alright. What will he explain?" asked Ren trying to keep his mouth shut.
"Edna will explain about the concept of light magic that can not only be used for recovery, but can also be used to attack! Isn't that amazing?" the boy looked enthusiastic.
Ren glanced at Edna again, while covering her mouth and her trembling body.
"That's it. I want to die...." Edna cried softly when she saw Ren dead and held back her laughter. He slumped limp on his desk when it happened.
"All right, I'll pay attention!" ren said enthusiastically.
That way, Ren became a day student at that Academy. And somehow it just so happened that day that they were studying Light Magic, which was a skill of Edna's. That made Edna appointed to explain the elemental elements about Light Magic.
Ren laughed a little when he saw Edna explaining what she was explaining, but using her language. Edna was embarrassed when it all happened.
Not only that, Ren also slightly watched over Reine.
("He has good talent. Perhaps he was gifted into an alchemist, and had abilities similar to Yuna's. If I could, I'd like to have people like him around the others.")
Ren considered a few things and looked around.

That's when, Edna who was teaching about light, she got some questions.
Many questions are just about how the magic circle was formed, and the feeling of magic flowing, coupled with questions about the advantages and disadvantages of the light element.

"Please, Reine. Don't be ashamed of it." replied Edna. Now, his confidence had started to be high because he had been able to answer many questions from the disciples.
"If light and heat are something that is needed in light magic, then can we replace it with anything other than magic?" ask Reine.
It made the class suddenly become silent, and all stared at Reine with a confused face.

Edna looked at Ren with a pitiful face with eyes that said that. Ren almost laughed looking at it, but it worked him up to hold it.
Ren sighed, hinting that he said "want how else" and he started walking forward.
"Light magic can indeed make light and heat hang from our sensing," Ren began to stand up.
"But, is there anything to make light and heat without using magic? It clearly exists! From the beginning, for example, when we make fire, we produce heat and light. And how was the fire produced?" attention began to be directed towards Ren who was walking in the hallway of the classroom.
"Fire is produced from many things, new sparks, electric shocks, wood friction, and so on. So we don't have to rely on magic to do something." Ren explained as he stopped walking, and turned around to pat Edna on the shoulder.
Edna was surprised, and smiled with a face that looked like she was going to cry by saying Thank you.
"I need something, we can meet Suzu later, right? There's something important I have to say." whispered Ren in Edna's ear. Naturally, Ren did so in silence because they were now in front of the class.
"Liu Xiu's! How could you possibly know all that? Are you really a genius at magic?" ask the boy who brought Ren.
"Aha ha ha! No no! I only understand a little about the science of alchemy, as there is some research on such things in the Kingdom of South Africa, so I am no stranger to it. Though I myself am not so good at magic." Ren moved his hand while slightly tilting his head.
Moreover, Reine was now staring at Ren with sparkling eyes, like she wanted to ask him something.
Classes continued, with increasing commotion in a variety of ways.

"Yes. And again, you said it was important."
The two of them were Suzu and Edna, who were sitting on a chair with a round table, enough for three people there.
Ren, Edna, and Suzu are gathering right now, because Ren asked for it.
"Well, there's nothing serious" Ren said, which was immediately followed by a sigh of relief from the other two.
"I just wanted to tell you about the experience when I dropped by Edna's class, something really caught my eye. And also, it was fun." Ren said with a smile.
He took off the mask on his mouth now, making his expression clearly visible.
"Ugh please forget that, Ren. I'm sorry if the explanation of the magic is still a lot wrong." said Edna as she slumped to the table.
Ren laughs at that, while Suzu imagines if it happens to her, then glances at Ren. Instantly he shook his head quickly, while patting his reddened face.
"Well, don't focus too much on that. I didn't gather you for such a thing" Ren said.
"You know that guy whose question I answered? If it's not wrong, it's Reine." he continued.
Edna and Suzu looked at each other, and frowned.
"Yes, I know. He is a person who does not get along too much with others, like most quiet others. But because he asked a lot of strange things, eventually his friends also found it strange." explained Suzu.
Edna also nodded, confirming Suzu's statement.
"Humm, he's so talented! He may not be very good at attacking magic, but he has very good mastery of magic. You can definitely feel the scanner magic that she always activates." Ren told me.
"Hehhhh?! It's not just my feeling?! I thought someone was watching me in class, but it was her magic?" edna said a little pouty.
"Wait wait wait wait!! I understand if Ren can feel it, but even Edna's sister too? Am I the only one who doesn't realize that here?!!" sela Suzu half yelled.
"Maybe because your magic mastery is lacking?" ask Ren.
"Maybe it was also because Suzu could control all five elements, making her sensitivity to magic decrease?" ask Edna chimed in.
Now, Suzu could not say a word other than to stare at the others with a confused face.
("Ren and Edna have really changed! Is this what it says that experience is the best teacher? Do I also have to seek experience in order to become stronger?") suzu asked inwardly.
"Keep that aside. I want to let you know that the boy has good Alchemist talent. There are some talented kids in this Academy, but so far he's the one I think is the most talented. It would be in vain if his talent was not channeled properly,"
"Then I proposed to form a small extracurricular-like group related to the Alchemist. I want you to be her caretaker and include the children I've given here." Ren continued.
Ren gave the paper, which contained the name of the person in the Academy.
According to Ren, the child was gifted in Alchemy, making them in one group was a good thing.
But hearing that, Edna and Suzu's faces changed.
"I see what you mean, Ren. But baby, we don't have any experience with that. It would be bad if we became extracurricular managers" Suzu said.
Edna also seemed like she wanted to say the same thing as well.
"No no no no! This is not something you guys imagine!" Ren hurriedly refuted.
"I want to prepare a place for the two of you, while that person is supporting you. I want to be prepared for something unexpected. And I have a special request for you too." Ren started writing something.
"I want you guys to research magic while I'm gone, and solve some of these problems." Ren wrote some of the writing on the paper.
Edna and Suzu read it at a glance, but soon their expressions became cloudy.
"Th-this..." Suzu stammered slightly as she reread the contents of the paper. But, Ren just looked at Suzu and Edna seriously, indicating that it was not the thing he made a joke of.
("You're still thinking about that incident huh, Ren?") edna asked a little when she saw the paper.
Suzu and Edna looked at it for a moment, before finally giving a small nod.
"alright. We understand. We'll do it!" suzu said which followed a confident nod from Edna.
