ACT 3: Chapter 42 - The Blue Pendant
"A-a-what the fuck is that? What the fuck with the big snake that ate all my magic? That's not normal! That doesn't really make sense!!" the mage woman shouted in disbelief.
Actually everyone also wanted to shout the same thing, but-
"Shut up!!" Ren shouted in a low tone there. It was enough to freeze the hearts of everyone who saw it.
Everyone fell silent, only to see Ren walking on foot who always left an ice trail on the ground he had just stepped on.
Alford started to grow scared. All along, ever since he had asked for power to the Church, he had never been this scared, even when the black monster started to enter his body. But looking at Ren with a cold form and looking at him with that piercing look was even more frightening than that!
Alford's common sense asks to step down immediately, but his pride is not. He had high self-esteem as the captain of the Seven Knights, and a Reinkanator.
"What are you waiting for! We're splitting! Shen, Lyfa, and Tio! You guys prepare a long-range attack, and target that monster and that woman!! I'll try to lure him!" alford shouted starting to regain his confidence.
At first his partner did not believe it, but hearing Alford who was about to become the bait, they all nodded.
That way, Alford jumped down, while dyeing his body with light. It was one of the few skills he gained while reincarnating, [Undefeated Time]. That skill made him invincible for a short period of time.
This skill is really a cheat skill, because no matter how different it is from the enemy, you will not lose. This made Alford dare to charge forward against Ren.
Ren was just silent, but arriving from the ground appeared the tendril uh who was preparing to welcome Alford.
"Yahhhh!!!" Alford attacked Ren, swinging his greatsword very quickly.
If it were to be reasoned, there was no way such a large sword could be swung so fast, since it was another skill Alford had. He removed the weight he lifted, but for the weight given it remained the same.
Ren just kept silent as he continued to let the ice tendrils under his feet fend off all of Alford's attacks.
Meanwhile, Shen, Lyfa, and Tio who carried the skill with made arrows, swords, and spears scattered all over the direction surrounded Edna with a terrifying skill skil from above.
"Wahaha! This was a reply due to the attack earlier!!!" shen said, Kstaria the sword bearer.
Edna who had already exhausted most of her MP due to the battle earlier, she could only retreat a little, while chanting a spell.
On the other hand, Ren only plays with Alford, and his ice tendrils manage to catch and make Alford into a toy ball, before throwing him back to where he came from.
Alford could only vomit blood, with the body already out of shape.
"MOR!!!" there was the cry of the three people who were besieging Edna from above starting to attack using his skill.
"Sir Edna, please close your eyes." a momentary whisper was heard in Edna's ear. But Edna knew the origin of the voice was Ren, who had now disappeared somewhere.
Edna simply complied, and closed her eyes quickly.
In the dark as Edna closed her eyes, she could hear the clinking of swords, the sound of objects being cut, and the sound of lightning colliding with something.
It happened not just for a while, but it happened for quite a long time.
"It has. Brother Edna can open her eyes." whispered Ren slowly as he sheathed his sword back.
When she opened her eyes, Edna was shocked.
The rubble of arrows and swords was now scattered around them, and also around them who were no longer of any shape.
"So this, Ren's power? And even Ren hasn't been serious?" ask Edna slowly.
He saw that the three people who had surrounded him had already been helplessly sprawled on the edge of the circle of space made thousands of weapons.
"Master!! What was that?!! How could the boy have picked up all those weapons? That's impossible, isn't it?! Please tell me it's impossible!!" cilia shouted in disbelief.
"Yes. That's impossible for him. But maybe for us. In other words~" Kei smiled as he swung his spear.
Cilia could not answer anymore, because she had already come to a conclusion.
"alright. Now, how will he take the next step? If he hadn't killed that monster, I'd be down now." Kei's face looks serious now.

"Sir Edna." Ren began to return to normal, but not with his clothes. He kept walking towards Edna, then ran, and hugged Edna hard.
No one expected that, not even Edna. But, he felt the tears of Ren flowing behind his back, that he felt real.
"I FAILED! I FAILED! I FAILED AND KEPT FAILING!! WHAT'S THE POINT OF ALL THIS POWER, ALL MY ABILITIES ALL THIS TIME?!!" ren's screams became even more poignant.
Ren begins to fall, and is propped up by Edna.
In that white world, no one moved, only the two of them shared their grief by calming each other down.
"Sister! Why is! Me, I always fail?! Is this my destiny? Do I really have to experience all this?! Why did it happen to my family?!! Why is this happening to the people I love?!! Why?!!" ren's desperate screams sounded echoing in that desolate atmosphere.
Edna also could not help but cry, she noticed the black monster with the blue pendant. It wasn't dead yet, but it was still being held back by Ren's ice and snow, making him silent in sound and movement.
"It's not your fault, Ren. It's not your fault. It's not-" Edna was unable to continue she said, and just cried while hugging Ren's head tightly.
Snowed. It was a strange phenomenon for snow to fall in this Kingdom.
But it slowly buried the two of them, like burying them in grief.
"This is the last." Ren slowly stood up, closing his eyes slowly.
"Huh?" Edna was a little confused.
"I will break all ties related to me after this. With nothing to do with me, no one will be involved with all my problems" Ren said standing up, starting to smile.
A forced bitter smile, while she extended her hand to Edna who was still sitting.
For a moment, Edna did not understand the meaning, but once she realized her face had changed.
"No! What do you mean cut all ties? Nothing good comes with that!! You can't just be happy! Did you forget about Suzu? With Aina?! You're just-"
Edna's sentence came to a halt, as Ren immediately closed his mouth, and looked at Edna with cold eyes.
Edna felt her heart stop for a moment. Edna could also feel Ren's hand now turning extremely cold, just like the first time Ren touched it.
"From that, do you have a last word for mom?" ask Ren.
Edna's eyes rounded hearing that, especially when Ren took his Azantium sword from the Inventory. Seeing it all made Edna even more difficult to breathe.
"Sir Edna?" Ren was worried about her too.
"I'm fine. Maybe I don't have anything to say, because if asked I want to, I really want to say a lot of things."
"But I know, the more I talk, the harder it is for me to let go." continued Edna.
Ren saw it smiling, before he took a heavy breath, cradling the nimang of the sword in his hand.
He took Edna's hand, and held the sword together. Two hands, both people, with one sword that began to be covered in ice.
Ren and Edna walked slowly towards the monster, but their hearts grew heavier. The closer they got, the more they thought they were going to kill their own mother. The more he stepped, Edna's tears fell more and more.
They arrived in front of the monster with swords between them.
"Sir Edna."
"Ren." Edna's voice veered. He was unable to stand up and began to cry.
"Then, mother~" Ren began to raise the sword together with Edna, pointing it at the chest, behind a beautiful blue pendant.
Ren turned his head for a moment towards Edna, and the two of them nodded.
"Mother, goodbye." at the end, the two of them smiled painfully as they pushed the sword.
Ice began to work, starting from the chest, spread to other parts, until in a second, the ice had spread throughout the body, and the next second, the ice suddenly broke, breaking, and crumbled into dust.
There was only a blue pendant left that fell onto the ground filled with snow.
