How could the demon lord that the humans feared sit down casually with them.
His form when it looks like a little girl in general really deceives all eyes. The little girl had just revealed her identity that could shake the world.
"Leader of the dragons you say? It's not that they're the most dangerous race." Inner Iris swallowed her saliva. "Sister.you're really amazing."
But after they thought well, it was not bad to also have someone very strong on their side especially when the situation was precarious like this.
"Once about you. What about that girl named Elysia? I didn't have time to ask her, but I heard her calling Alice mother as well. Is he too..."
Echidna. "Yes, he's also one of my mama's children."
Ernard closed his eyes with one of his hands then let out a long sigh. "She is not married and has two daughters. Is he going to get another one in the future before he goes home?"
Ernard could only shake his head knowing the truth. She turned to Liana and Liana could only smile at the look on her face that paled because of the great news.
"Absolutely I'm a big brother and he's a sister."
Iris spontaneously asked. "Why is it like that? Is it because you were the first one adopted by my brother and he was the second one?"
"That's true as well, but even though it looks like this I'm actually thousands of years old and he from the Elf race has just lived for hundreds of years. After all, I was once the right hand of the first demon king, His Majesty Typhoon." Clearly Echidna with a proud expression.
Again and again. Echidna continued to tell one by one the story about himself and Alice that would make the three people amazed.
The arrival of Echidna in the Strongfort family and the Solus kingdom was a blessing due to her extraordinary strength.
~
A month earlier, Alice had fallen and was helpless after being defeated by Echidna.
When her eyes darkened and her breath was one last breath, Alice thought it was her last. He thought when his eyes were no longer open maybe he would see his fellow comrades from his old life. But something beyond estimation and beyond reason came to make him wide-eyed.
"This..Where's?" Alice glanced in all directions and looked at that place which turned out to be her own sea of consciousness. "What's going on? Why am I here? I thought... Aren't I dead?"
Alice paused for a moment to guess about the situation.
A while later the sound of a flute so melodious was heard in his ears. The familiar sound of the bamboo flute made him curious. Alice walked closer to the origin of the voice.
He saw the figure of a long-haired man with jade-white skin standing behind him while playing the flute.
As he stepped closer to the man. The background of the place changed suddenly. What was once a clear sky with bright sun and a magnificent palace above the endless ocean changed into a palace under the moonlight with a gazebo and a wooden corridor surrounding the lake.
One of the gazebos was Alice standing still looking at the man's back. "What.. what happened..?"
As his eyes skimmed the surrounding scenery, he suddenly realized one thing.
"This lake.this place is the eastern part of my palace."
The eastern part of his palace in his previous life was a favorite place he used to visit when he was tired of his duties as an emperor or just wanted to cool his head.
Alice then focused her eyes on the figure of the man.
Shouldn't you know who he is?
His mind was indecisive and full of doubt but the figure of the man before him really made him be reminded of by someone and only he was the one who currently flashed across his head.
After all this time, after all this time why did the shadow of that person have to come back again.
Why can't your heart forget it?
It was as if opening an old curtain with endless incisions of wounds within. Alice called out the name of the man with her shivering body trembling.
The man stopped his flute play, he smiled faintly then turned around.
"Teacher." Call slowly.
Alice's heart was beating rapidly. He did not expect this meeting. Was this just an illusion before he actually died? But clearly, the voice, the face, the entire appearance of the man made his feelings mix.
No matter it or the illusion or not, Alice lost her composure.
"Teacher, you've been aware of me for a long time." Inner Zhou Yun chuckled.
Alice approached her until she stood on one foot before Zhou Yun. He clenched his teeth, not knowing what to do with the man in front of him. Getting angry? should he hit her? Or should he hug her because of her sadness and longing? Zhou Yun's presence made Alice's emotions waver.
"You... Is this real?"
Zhou Yun smiled once more while raising both his shoulders. "Take a guess."
Alice braved herself. He was afraid that the figure of the man was an illusion and made him sadder he was also afraid that if the figure of the man was real and made him confused how to deal with it.
Alice extended her hand to Zhou Yun's face then grabbed him slowly and gently.
"Original.this....You.., is that really you?"
Zhou Yun grabbed Alice's hand and grasped it with both hands. "Teacher, of course it's me." Her speech.
Wh why? Why is he here, in the sea of consciousness?
"Teachers must be wondering, right? Master, after all that has happened, I can finally find you." Zhou Yun looked gently at Alice. "Although it's too late, but I'm glad I finally got to see you, for the last time." Say it with a soft tone at the end of his sentence.
Alice was at a loss for words. He turned and sat in his back seat. What exactly is going on?
"You...really Xiao Yun?"
Zhou Yun nodded.
"Why are you here? What the hell's going on? Aren't I dead?" Alice asked confusedly.
"Teacher is not wrong. But before you die and your soul disappears leaving your body, I use the rest of my power within you to hold your soul in this sea of consciousness."
"Is there any power in me?"
"Yes. Do you remember the old ruins on the continent of Regnum in the south. Old ruins with an altar in the middle."
"The ruins and an altar..?" Alice sank into her mind. For a while later he began to remember what Zhou Yun meant.
A green valley that was dense with energy where he made his breakthrough. It was a place he had visited with Andrew and Amy where they were surrounded by hundreds of monsters that appeared from around the valley.
"From the blink of the teacher's eyes, I'm sure that the teacher must have remembered it."
Zhou Yun walked over and sat down beside Alice.
Alice did not expect the presence of her student. A man he once loved but foundered because of their status as a teacher and student. Also a man who first betrayed her vilely and turned to his own best friend.
Alice clenched her hands tightly until she trembled. He wanted to hit her in the face.
Seeing the dark expression on Alice's face and the burning anger she felt from her. Zhou Yun looked down. He knew that he had no face to face with his teacher.
"Teacher, before I tell you everything. I wanted to apologize. I'm sorry."
