"By Him the Great!!!"

After blowing himself up, the monsters that had been moving at his command began to lose their formation and became a mess.

Seeing their dead leader, they were frightened and drowned in despair. But there were also some of them who fiercely attacked the humans in front of them.

"Stop them! Don't let any of them live!" Say it out Kevin.

His small army then shouted with excitement. Some of them even immediately ran out of the cave to chase the monsters that escaped.

The girl stared at the black crystal horror in front of her. He gulped after realizing that the force that had been terrorizing several villages was a pitch-black crystal with a very evil energy.

The girl was silent, she lowered her head and looked at the stick in her hand. The girl took a deep breath before replying Kevin "I'll give it a try. Please protect me as long as I purify this crystal."

Kevin nodded and gave orders to his troops to surround the girl.

While the rest of the army finished off the rest of the monsters. The girl held her wand up in front of him. He closed his eyes and lowered his head while offering the wish of "Great Goddess Gaia. Blessing this land. Bless and purify your land that has been tainted, [Purification]"

A glistening light shone down on the entire cave. Kevin and his team were amazed. "Even though he has seen it many times..."

Slowly the bright white light enveloped each side of the crystal and eroded the thick miasma that enveloped it.

After a while, the large crystal became brightly shining like a beautiful white diamond. The sheen of light that enveloped the cave also disappeared after the girl raised her head and sighed.

"I'm done." The girl said then she turned around and stood next to Kevin.

"This crystal is so beautiful. It would be great if we had a lot of people to get him out of this cave but."

After a long and tiring journey in search of the irregularities that occur in his country. Kevin finally finds an open road after losing a clue as he visits the town of Vulture.

Tracing the south after hearing rumors that Alicia the daughter of Duke Strongfort had been attacked by wild animals made him move his troops to explore the place even further.

A day at the beginning of their search they did not find anything suspicious and in the end they moved to leave the boundary line of Duke Strongfort Region which is deep into the forest which is said to be a forbidden and dangerous area.

Upon seeing the small encampment of the goblin monster herd, Kevin and his army immediately attacked them and won. The fight did not last long because the goblins they fought were just a collection of ordinary goblins that had no leader.

Initially kevin was not suspicious because indeed the place they entered was the depth of the forbidden Great Forest forest and according to the story that the place was indeed a lot of strong and ferocious monsters.

Kevin continued to move carefully through the forest. When their supplies began to run low and it seemed like it was going to hit a dead end again. Kevin finally found the strange thing.

Kevin directed his troops to check around the lake and its surroundings but they found nothing at all. He was confused, How can the lake produce enough miasma gas.

When Kevin looked at the lake, he realized when his eyes saw that the plants that did not touch the water were still fine.

Kevin squinted his eyes. The fused furrow of his Eyebrows as he sunk into his mind made him appear wiser than when he swung his sword.

Kevin plucked a flower near his feet. He approached the lake and dipped the flower bud in his hand. Slowly a deep black color enveloped the tip of the flower and made it wither away instantly.

"We Go Home" said Kevin then he gestured to one of the people beside him to call the others gathered.

Without any words or questions. His small army followed that direction just like that.

"We need someone to purify the place." He said after they came out of the Great Forest.

"You mean?" Asked the man beside her who looked like Kevin's right hand.

"The problem is not the water, but something in it. After I touched a little of that lake water. I feel that the water is not the main cause of the miasma gas to appear. But something's in that lake."

"So you mean there's something dangerous in there?"

Kevin nodded "Yes. Are you not surprised that the plants around the lake do not just die? Wouldn't at least the soil they grew up in would absorb the lake's water. But why are those plants still growing?"

"yes too. I also saw that some of the plants on that side of the lake were withered and some were not."

"The water took a long time to contaminate the surrounding plants but when you get into the lake or drink the water. The evil energy and miasma gas that arises from the things inside the lake will affect you directly. Perhaps the beast that attacked Duke Strongfort's daughter once drank the lake's water.

After returning to the camp he had set up before. The girl immediately got off the horse she was riding with Kevin, The girl walked into a tent to inspect some wounded soldiers from the previous extermination of monsters.

Kevin walked up to him "Thank you. Because of your help no one died in my army."

"Yes. Your Highness need not hesitate anyway it is my duty as a Saintess to deal with this kind of problem." Gently reply the girl.

"You too, rest. After the break we'll return to the capital." Said Kevin as he looked at the girl's face which looked slightly exhausted.

"Maybe I can't go with you guys. I have to see someone." The girl turned her gaze away and looked sadly out of the tent remembering the person she meant.

"Alice.." -...." Mumbled slowly.

"I understand. Once again I represent the others to thank you for your help."

The pink haired girl in white robes smiled. "I'm Liliana Matilda is a blessing to carry out my duties as a Saintess chosen by the Goddess.
