Chapter I Chapter 23

Day after day I trained hard.the sweat and bruises on my body were proof of my struggle. After losing my family and losing my purpose in life, I thought about ending it all. Mungin I'd rather die eaten by that beast than die slowly in the cold. But I am grateful to have met the Duke that time. It provides a new purpose in life, a new home and a new family.

I was no longer hungry, my sleep was comfortable and the days were meaningful. Although it was full of harsh and torturous training but I was happy when Miss came to see me.

"Leon! Leon! " The golden blonde-haired little girl looked so cute running with her little legs towards Leon. "Leon...Are you done with the rehearsal?" That adorable face looked at him expectantly.

Leon smiled happily. "Not yet, Miss, I'm not done."

The little girl puffed her cheeks "But I want to play. Come play with me. Play it!" The girl then pulled on Leon's shirt.

Leon laughed a little while scratching his head. "All right, then Miss wait a minute." Leon goes to the warehouse to store his weapons and release his training equipment.

After a while he came back and said "Well Miss, then what are we playing this time?"

With a big smile on her face the little girl replied Leon "Father and seek! let's play hide and seek."

"Then Miss is hiding, I'll take care."

The two then go in search of a tree with a field to start their game. "here. I'll turn around and count it. Miss hide away."

The girl nodded enthusiastically and ran with a female servant.

"Oh yes Miss. Hiding the good yeah. Last time Miss was so easy to find." He shouted with a seductive tone.

The girl turned around and mocked him by sticking out her tongue and closing her eyes "This time it must be me who wins."

Although he was exhausted after a long day of training. Young Leon is so happy when he spends time with his young Miss, what a pity that he has to leave.

An order from the Duke at that time, the father of Ernard Lein Strongfort, made him have to leave for the capital to undergo knight training and take the mark of passing the knight exam.

"Alice, where are you going?"

"I want to meet Leon" The girl was upset and almost cried to see Liana. "You Wicked! I hate you guys!" He screamed while running.

Soon, little Alice ran with her little legs to the gate to meet Leon.

The girl was tired but she did not want to stop. If he could he wanted to see Leon who he already considered like an older brother for the last time before he went to the capital.

Initially Liana and Ernard kept this a secret from Alice. Seeing their relationship so familiar, they thought to explain it when the right time came. However, Alice overhears Leon and the Strongfort family's knight commander. He was sad and immediately ran to his room.

"Leon..! Leon.!"'s..!"

Leon stopped before he got on the horse-drawn carriage. "Miss.." her heart softly saw Alice running with tears approaching her. Leon ran to him.

"Leon..! Do you want to go far?" Alice asked as she held one of Leon's hands.

"I didn't go far Miss. I'm just going to the capital."

"Then can I come?"

Leon chuckled, "Miss can't come, Miss has to stay. Does Miss not pity to see the Lord and Madam who are sad that Miss is not accompanying them?"

Leon doesn't know what to do. He could only smile and laugh at Alice. "How about this..." Leon leaned over and whispered something into Alice's ear.

I don't know what she said until Alice stopped whining and obediently went back to her parents.

"Leon Promise yes..." Alice shouts as she sees Leon on the horse-drawn carriage.

"certain Miss. I can definitely be a great knight." Reply Leon

After three years passed with a passionate feeling in his chest. Leon, who had managed to become a young knight at the age of 15, finally returned to the Strongfort residence.

The smile on his face continued to be clearly displayed until he arrived in front of the castle belonging to the Strongfort family.

"I'm finally home." Happy muttering.

Leon got down and pulled his horse. As he passed the gate, several servants and soldiers on guard greeted and congratulated him on his success.

Leon is greeted again by Ernard and Liana when he enters the castle. "Congratulations on your success." Ernard.

Leon lowered his head "Thank you Sir. Because of your kindness too I can get to this."

Seeing that Alice was not in the room, Leon again asked "I'm sorry, Madam. If you may know, where's Miss Alicia?"

Ernard and Liana were silent for a moment and they looked at each other.

"Alice..in the meantime..."

"Alice is in her room. You can see him if you want." Ernard precedes Liana.

"Thank you, Mrs. Then I resign to see Miss Alicia." Leon goes to Alice's room.

"Darling..are you sure about this?"

"Why? Sooner or later he'll finally find out."
