Chapter III Chapter 86

Fee ran into the forest. Passing through the trees so dexterously. Fee jumps up and avoids the dangerous looking swamp. Continue and continue he ran through the forest until finally Alice who had been quietly observing her surroundings raised her voice.

"Fee, Stop." Fee heard Alice's direction, and stopped.

"What's wrong?"

"Didn't you feel anything strange when you were running around?"

Fee paused for a moment to think about what Alice meant. The only strange thing was that this swamp felt wider than he had ever remembered. Despite running so fast, he saw no way out.

"Do you mean we're stuck here?"

"I feel that way." After Fee ran long enough to find a way out of that swamp. Alice felt strange as she watched the almost identical scene continuously repeat itself before her eyes. The trees and shrubs they passed by may look different, but the swamps so large on some sides of the place look the same. One more thing that he made sure of was when he tagged some trees with his Qi slash. Alice knew that even though their positions had changed, the mark of her Qi energy remained in the trees.

Fee just remembered two things. When he first came to this place, this swamp did not look this terrible and dark, even though there were some small monsters but it was not an obstacle for him. And the second is that he forgot that he had the Clairvoyance skill. While he feels safe because this place is where he once lived, Fee feels no need to use his Clairvoyance abilities. He was just shocked when he saw the weirdness and how dangerous the swamp was when he activated Clairvoyance.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Nyx asked after she appeared beside Alice.

Alice glanced at Nyx. He nodded "There is something alive in this place and it keeps watching our movements."

Nyx floated to move to Alice's other side. He raised his head "Even I can feel the different life energy of each branch of this tree." His word.

Nyx flew up to one of the trees. Fee was slightly surprised as he caught the shadowy figure of the woman who appeared suddenly. "The woman..." His mind was curious of the woman who gave off a familiar feeling. "The wave of energy he carried was not much different from those Gods. Is he one of them? But...If she really was a Goddess what made her that weak to the point that she had no body?"

Seeing Fee's reaction being jolted as he looked at Nyx who appeared suddenly. Alice knew that Fee was observing the woman who appeared out of nowhere based on her silence.

Unknowingly Fee's tail stood up and his fur began to slowly expand. Alice came down from Fee's back and rubbed her neck. "He's our partner. You don't have to be that alert."

As Nyx gets closer to the tree in front of her. A tendril crept slowly and wanted to snare his leg. Unfortunately, he is currently not tangible. The tendril penetrated his body. Nyx and the others who saw that were shocked. Nyx flew away wanting to go back inside Alice but suddenly the tree she approached opened wide and sucked on her.

Luckily, Alice's reaction was quick. Alice slashed down with her palm filled with streams of Qi energy and made the tree erode until it closed back the part of its open trunk. After they pay close attention. The two small holes and the large hole in the tree trunk looked like two eyes and a mouth.

"The sight I kept feeling was coming from them." Mumbled Alice.

What Alice, Nyx and Fee discover is a monster named Treant. They lacked intelligence, even so they were able to devour anything they found around them, as long as it contained energy suitable for them to refer to as food.

"These trees are careful, although not all of these trees are monsters but they can hide and wait for us to let our guard down." Alice Obviously.

Alice sheathed her sword and saw a dark ceiling full of dense foliage from other large trees.

The embodiment of Nyx's soul again lurks into Alice's sea of consciousness. Although he can burn the tree with his ability, Nyx chose to save his energy because to recover his energy, it took three times longer than when he still had his original body.

"Fee, lower your size and stay by my side." Alice cried worried if if the treants attacked suddenly.

After realizing the peculiarity of the swamp. Alice released a large amount of energy and expanded her divine consciousness. Alice was shocked because the tree formation looked ordinary. But when they stepped, the treants disguised as trees moved slowly to the point that even the ears did not hear the sound of their movement.

Alice walked through the swamp. As she held her sword, Alice was ready to swing her sword if she had to.

"Grgrrrr!" Fee suddenly growled. His eyes and instincts said that there was a great danger coming. And yes, so many tendrils suddenly attacked them.

Alice and Fee quickly dodged. This time, the tendrils no longer attacked silently.

"Are they starting to get impatient to eat us." Alluding to Alice seeing the treants like completely starving and afraid of their food going away.

Alice and Fee evaded the tendrils and made an attack when they saw a gap. Alice slashed the tendrils and the source was a tree that was seen attacking them. While Fee uses his blue-colored flame which is very efficient to deal with the treant.

The treants began to rush even more and more and those who were hit by the attacks from Alice and Fee became rampaging and started to show their form.

Not until there, the more aggressive treants began to use long and sharp twigs like the nails of a wild animal to attack.

Alice fended off, dodged and jumped while occasionally attacking, Fee seemed to not want to lose as well. He burned whatever tree was in front of him with a big blue fire. The Fee flames were burning and continuously blazing burning them one after another.

Alice smiled and was pleased with Fee's presence. The two fought together as they moved out of the place.

When they reached the large and vast swamp, the treants began to stop chasing. Alice kept her sword back into her dimension ring, then the two rested for a moment to catch their breath. The number of treants arriving was getting stronger and agile, they seemed to be endless.

"Unlike a tree in general. Their bodies are so hard as a steel plate." Alice Obviously.

"Yes. It even took a long time for my fire to devour them." Reply Fee.

Alice and Fee then walked back. They saw a small road on the side of the swamp and followed it and moved around the large swamp.

"We better walk like this than cross that swamp. I don't even know what's down there." Alice said as she glanced at the large swamp.
