Chapter V Chapter 189

After changing her fighting style, Alice's attack had not had much effect on her. Palu's strong defensive ability makes it look like a solid fortress. Even so, Palu realized that just surviving would not end this duel with himself as the winner. Palu believes that the woman named Alice is still hiding something behind her pocket.

Unyealding Will, Divine Rigid Body and Steel Muscle. Those three abilities were so terrifying that it made his body and mental become stronger than any metal. But Palu cannot continue to waste time. Time continued to pass, he knew that the lifespan of his abilities would soon be completed.

As Alice floated a flying kick towards him, Palu immediately made a protector from the ground.

The hammer protects her body with a large and hard rock, then Palu quickly detonates her protective stone which makes Alice forced to keep her distance.

Alice scrunched her forehead, yet she did not feel the slightest annoyance. Since then he became more enthusiastic and more amazed duel with Palu. Alice was curious as to how many techniques and abilities a Hammer possessed.

"Although the movements from his martial technique looked simple. But every step and breath seemed stable. He even had an affinity with the earth element and that made him a difficult opponent to take down." Alice said in her heart. "His solid defense is indeed praiseworthy."

When Alice was far enough away from him, Palu took advantage of the opportunity to attack. He raised both hands and smashed them into the ground very strongly.

The ground lifted into sharp thorns and moved forward in front of Alice.

Alice jumped high forward.

The hammer was unexpected as the woman did not dodge his attack. He was even surprised when he saw Alice running over those sharp thorns so easily as if she was stepping on cotton.

The hammer struck his feet twice to the ground making two huge rocks jump in front of his eyes. Immediately, he struck the two rocks towards Alice.

Alice did not think of fading or stopping, she continued forward and broke through the stone with her kick. Not a second did he release Palu's movement from his sight.

Alice managed to shorten their distance. He was one step ahead of Palu.

"Hehe, Uncle. Why don't we exchange fists one more time?" Alice said with passion.

Palu saw that Alice was really enjoying their duel. Undeniably, he felt the same way. It's just that, in Alice's expression, there was no trace of fatigue. On the contrary, having used up so many powerful abilities, Palu was already almost exhausted.

"Dooooo!" Alice hit straight towards Palu's face. The hammer held him with his arm. He then responded with the same blow.

Alice held back the blow but she did not expect that it was so strong that it dragged her backwards.

Hammer chuckles. "Hows it? Have you seen the capabilities of my weapon? I didn't want to use it at first but I'm sure that with my current abilities, I won't be able to defeat you."

The hammer weapon turned into a glove with a piston-style spring engine that pushed around his arm. The thrust that the weapon generated was so strong that it could make it push back.

"So it's because of that gun yeah." Said. Alice shook her hand to the side. "No problem. I'm glad that Uncle didn't hold back. Better that way. Honestly, I want to see what the abilities of a B rank adventurer like you are. I can tell you you're a great Uncle."

"Is that a compliment to me? Then thank you." Hammers bowed flattered. From the end of his line of eyes he glanced at Alice, then he raised his head and said. "But Miss, aren't you just trying to insinuate me? I know that you still haven't expended all your abilities. As an adventurer who earned the nickname as an absolute fortress, I am ashamed of not being able to make you fight earnestly."

Alice let go of her horses, she stood up straight again. Alice placed her index back under her lips. "really? Do I look like that?" He said as he turned his eyes away.

Palu had no idea how powerful Alice really was. He had misjudged earlier that Alice's ability was on par with A rank. The longer they fight, Palu also realize and understand that Alice's strength is actually equivalent to S rank. Although he had never directly witnessed the combat power of an S ranker, but Palu had never doubted his experience and ability. Her instincts confidently said that Alice still had more than what she was displaying right now.

"From his way of fighting, I can feel that he is someone who is very experienced. His appearance was indeed young, but I can't imagine how many battles he had gone through. Nothing is wasted from every decision in his movement. He can predict one step ahead. Good stamina, endurance, strength and fighting techniques, he is superior to me." Inner muttering.

What made him even more certain was that this young lady standing before him had not used a single special ability since the start of their fight. He only did ordinary punches or kicks. Even so, both types of attacks were able to make his arms and legs tremble.

The hammer raised one of his hands up. His protector had been destroyed and his lifespan of ability was over. He did not want to continue their duel and decided to give up.

After the duel is over. Sarpathi turned off her magic protector.

The hammer already did not have enough manpower to continue the test against Elysia. Hammers decided to pass them off in a slightly special way. Yes, with his recommendation as a top-notch B-rank adventurer, the guild had to pass them both.

"If Mr. Palu says so. alright, I will pass it on to the chairman first."

Alice smiled brightly. He looked at Palu. "So it was fun. Thank ye. Uncle. I wish we could do it again later."

"It was the best duel I've ever had." Reply while doing a little stretching on his hands and massaging his shoulders.

Sarpathi was relieved to see the two were fine after the fierce fight earlier. But, there was something strange about her gurgling that looked like she was nervous. Sarpathi's expression was slightly pale as if she was holding back her fear. His face immediately looked gloomy and dark.

"What's Sarpathi?" Ask Hammer.

Sarpathi was awkward enough to say it. With a heavy heart and nervousness he opened his mouth. "I-it... What about the area..?" He asked while pointing to the arena.

The three men looked. They were unconscious because they were too busy fighting. The arena that had a flat and smooth field is now full of holes and small craters. That place looks so messy.

Elysia opened her mouth wide in shock. "Uwaah~ Mother.."

While Alice and Palu could only smile bitterly while scratching their heads.

"I'll take care of it." Answer Palu firmly.

As a B rank tester and adventurer. He must show his authority. Even though he lost the duel at least he still had a sense of pride as a senior, he thought.

Elysia stared wide at Palu. His gaze was so bright and dazzling hinting both a deep sense of pleasure and gratitude.

Alice's shoulders became limp with a long sigh. He's sloppy. He forgot his surroundings. "I'll pay for it too. Anyway, I have a responsibility in it. You guys don't have to worry, I have some material from monsters that I can sell later."

"Are you sure?" Asked Palu then Alice answered him with a nod.

"But.. By the way where do you keep it? I don't see you carrying a bag or any storage. Are they in the inn?"

Alice shook her head. He extended his hand forward and several corpses of jumping monsters just appeared out of nowhere.

Sarpathi and Palu quietly held their breaths. ""Pe-stores dimensions?!"" They scream spontaneously. Both of them were shocked together with wide eyes.

The hammer sank into his mind. He looked at Alice while remembering what he had just seen. "Storage dimension...is it a pouch? The briefcase? Hmm. I didn't see him carry anything. Then, is that his ability? Impossible, if he can do it..." The feather stands. He felt goosebumps as his eyes slowly glanced at Alice. Palu sighed. "I think I'm grateful that he didn't give away all his abilities."

"W-you-you..." Sarpathi immediately took Alice's hand and took her by force. They walked back to the next building followed by Elysia.

Without a word Sarpathi dragged Alice along until they climbed the second floor and entered a room.

The adventurers saw them in wonder. There were a lot of things they wanted to ask the woman but why did Sarpathi bring her upstairs?
