After searching for hours and flipping through so many pages, Alice finally found the answer she needed all along. The fact that the way home was written on the books and the sheets of paper was to use a portal or a teleportation magic circle. But as Alice read more, she found obstacles that made her have to find a solution for the next.
For the first option relating to the dimension portal. It was only in the castle of the Demon King. A room that contained so many magic circles and required a lot of mana energy to open that portal. It is said that the room and magic circle inside was made by their great ancestor or demon king hundreds of years ago before he died. As for the second option about the teleportation magic circle, Alice did not even have much hope for that choice. Like her time in forced teleportation to the Arkham continent, Alice can only hope that one day she gets lucky and finds the teleportation magic circle that will bring her back to the continent of Regnum.
Echidna's stomach sitting next to her began to rumble. The quiet atmosphere in the library room made a small roar from her stomach sound to Alice's ears.
Alice closes her book and caresses Echidna's head. "It's lunch time. Sorry, I didn't notice." He completely forgot the time.
Echidna nodded then got down from her chair and ran a little waiting at the door. He seemed to be impatient to eat soon.
The day is almost dark. Alice and Echidna and Fee arrive at a small tavern, and they stop to eat together.
While the two were enjoying the dishes served before them, Alice chewed her food slowly as she slept in her mind. His eyes looked straight at the empty food on his plate. Alice was still thinking about how she would meet the demon lord and what she should do so that she could use the room.
"Mama...don't eat? Mama's okay?" Alice looked anxiously at Alice who looked like she had no appetite.
Alice blinked a few times and regained consciousness as her ears began to digest Echidna's voice. "It's okay, baby. Echidna need not worry. It's eating again, eating a lot of ya." He replied with a gentle smile and gave the little side dish he had on his plate to Echidna.
Honestly, Echidna couldn't help but worry about her mother. Especially when Alice gives a few pieces of side dishes to Echidna. He knew that his mother had not eaten much, even if he saw the portion of his meal, Echidna felt that his mother ate very little. That anxious expression did not escape from his face. Echidna no longer enjoyed the meal. He put in the food and chewed it while looking at Alice. His face pouted, he felt that he could not reduce the burden that was in his mother's mind.
Soon, a female deemon with gray hair entered the tavern and walked over to take a seat behind them. The atmosphere of the tavern suddenly changed just like that as the woman began to sit down.
Customers of the store today is not much, can even be counted with fingers. But Alice did not pay much attention to their gaze which was like waiting for someone to come and occasionally glanced at the door of the tavern. Alice's mind was still fixated on her plan to meet the demon lord.
However, his attention began to get a little distracted as the entrance bell rang and appeared to be a beautiful young lady with red eyes and gray hair. Alice raised her head and saw a beautiful female customer walking past her. "It looks like Ophelia. Are they from the same tribe?" Her thought. Alice felt the air around her become a little cold and a murderous air began to fill the small tavern.
Alice closed her eyes for a moment to refocus at this moment. If he is off guard maybe something bad could happen to him or the people around him.
"Even their cashiers are no longer in their place." Benak Alice was suspicious. He narrowed his eyes while looking at a foreign-looking male servant. The waiter is not a deemon that serves the previous customers.
Alice's eyes continued to glance and pay attention to her surroundings. The sneaky smile of the waiter and some of the customers in the tavern implied something hidden and the thick killing intent became more and more obvious to him.
"Mommy..?" Echidna was astonished by Alice who was suddenly silent and looked solemn.
"This is our menu list, please take a look first miss. I'll wait for you here." Continue the waiter while giving the menu sheet to the female deemon in front of him.
"Alright, thank you then." The woman smiled kindly. Then he looked through the entire menu list written on the paper.
The waiter shifted slightly to the back of the woman. He moved slowly and looked closer to the woman. When the woman was seriously reading and thinking about what she wanted to order. The servant slowly pulled out a poisonous dagger from the back pocket of his pants.
Alice looked at the strange behavior of the maid from the corner of her eyes and felt an increasingly dense killing intent coming from her. Alice immediately turned around and she quickly threw the spoon on her plate at the waiter.
The waiter who almost stabbed the woman right at the back of her neck screamed in pain from Alice's spoon-throw.
He clicked his tongue in annoyance and looked towards the woman who had just blocked his plan. "Basic stupid! What are you waiting for, do something." His shouting.
The customers in the tavern quickly stood up from their seats and surrounded Alice and the others. Six people of the deemon race and two of them of the animal race. "A pretty unique group." Mumbled Alice.
The two animal races closed their exit. "Mama." Echidna stood up from her seat as well upon seeing the situation go wrong. Again and again people want to hurt their mother. They should be taught a lesson. Echidna. Alice, however, restrained Echidna by saying. "Echidna stays there. I don't want this place to be spoiled." Said Alice. Given how much power her daughter's punches were, Alice was confident that the little tavern would collapse if the six were beaten up by her and thrown into ruin their property.
Meanwhile, the gray-haired woman was astonished but her expression seemed ordinary. He did not show any panic on his face. He turned left and right to look at the people who surrounded him and set his gaze on Alice. The woman suddenly smiled for no apparent reason at Alice. He flicked his finger as if he had managed to get something in his memory.
With an attitude as if nothing had happened even though Alice had just seen her wanting to be killed. The woman approached Alice and took Alice's hand with both hands. "It turns out it was you. I'm really glad to see you. You know, Ophelia told me a lot about you. I was curious and made curious. Ophelia is usually never attracted to someone. I thought you were a man, but how could you, your name sounds like a woman's name. So I kept waiting and waiting until he finally sent the message that you were coming to this town. I'm happy sa~ngat."
Alice remained silent without a word. His hands swayed as the woman continued to speak. When the woman releases her hand. Alice massaged one of her throbbing temples. With a lethargic look Alice tried to digest what she had just heard. "How could he speak so much in just one breath." Inner dumbfounded. Alice smiled stiffly at the deemon woman.
