Gorgeous Jewel
Chapter III Chapter 65

After recuperating, Alice and Echidna began to explore the cave passageways to find a way out. Morning and night were not felt, I don't know how long Alice had been in the cave. Moreover, he did not know where he was at the moment.

By spreading her Qi and feeling the surrounding territory, Alice uses her consciousness to avoid the traps that exist in the cave and with the help of the ever-present Echidna power for her mother, they both defeated a lot of monsters.

Alice was amazed to see the large size and strange shape of the monsters that attacked them. The cave was so dark that it was filled with various types of monsters. Whether it was a snake, a giant centipede or a bat of abnormal size, there were even ferocious wolves. Not only that, the monsters that attacked them also had various abilities and types of elements and combat power comparable to level 5 magicians.

"Echidna still strong?" Alice looked down worriedly as she looked at the Echidna who was so active and agile as to defeat many monsters.

Echidna nodded her head with a smile. To him those weak monsters were nothing more than stepping on a small insect.

Alice returned Echidna's smile. Then he looked around. "Surprisingly, I didn't even see any of the corpses of the monsters we had defeated." He muttered in astonishment as he glanced at the ground but found nothing, not even a drop of blood made a difference.

"What exactly is this place?" Inner fidgets. They then went back on their journey.

Echidna hummed happily while holding her mother's hand. He waved his hand and smiled sweetly. The echoes of the meldunya adorn the silence of the cave passage. After seeing the power of Echidna, Alice felt no need to worry. Well, even so he still had to be careful if it was to attract the attention of stronger monsters.

No matter how many monsters came, Echidna could definitely handle it. In his heart, he felt happy when he received praise from his mother.

Alice's steps then run aground as she re-encounters the intersection. Three different hallways made him think for a moment. Given that he had taken the left, this time he chose to take the right, but his legs stopped when Echidna held his hand. Alice turned around and saw Echidna shaking her head.

"Mama, can't go through there." Said. Echidna pointed in the opposite direction. "Mama, this way. I don't like going through there." Further.

For the first time Echidna spoke her mind. Since then he has always followed whatever path Alice took. Alice was curious, not knowing what made Echidna not want to take the path on the right side.

Alice turned to look at the passageway. He closed his eyes for a moment and traced the passageway with his consciousness, but unfortunately he felt nothing. Alice looked back at Echidna who was looking at her with a glare.

"All right, we're going the way that Echidna chose." Alice felt that Echidna's decision must have had a reason behind it.

"Ms." Sahut Echidna nodded. That way they take the road on the left.

Afterwards, Echidna begins to lead Alice. He shows them the roads they have to go through and strangely the more he follows Echidna's instructions, the monsters they fight become weaker and fewer.

Alice was astonished and asked Echidna. "Didna know this place?"

Echidna tilted her head left and right for a moment, trying to remember but she found no answer at all. He shook his head. Even so in his heart he felt that there was something connecting him to this cave. Something that felt familiar to the extent that he subconsciously knew the path he had to take to get out of the cave.

"so yeah. Echidna need not force herself to think about it."

"Yes."

After passing through the many branches of the passageway and the small monsters. Finally they saw something at the end of the road. Alice slashed the last little spider that attacked them.

"Why is there a door here?" Alice asked herself.

Then they approached the door. While in front of her, Alice saw that the door did not have any security. He pushed the door easily.

Alice looked into it and only saw an empty room leaping. No sign of life or trace of any living creature ever inhabited the room.

Alice walked in followed by Echidna holding her hand. When they got to the middle of the room. Suddenly an array of magic circles activated and dazzled their eyes. Afraid she was separated from Echidna, Alice strengthened her grasp.

Alice opened her eyes. "It...Where's?"

Strange view of the orange sky and the land of life that feels different. Alice felt that the place she was in right now was not the kingdom of Solus. A hint of suspicion also rose in his mind that this land was not the place where he should be.

Alice bends her knees and checks for Echidna. "Is Echidna okay?" Alice asked holding both of Echidna's shoulders. He then stroked the side of the hair that blocked Echidna's eye view.

Echidna nodded her head twice. "I'm fine mama."

Alice raised her gaze and tried to look for someone or a place that could visit with her eyes. Good thing, he found a settlement not far from their place.

"Echidna still strong way? Want a sling mom?"

Echidna shook her head. "I'm still strong, Mama don't have to worry."

Alice stroked Echidna's head gently "Say yes if it's not strong, then mommy's carrying." Although she recently accepted Echidna as her daughter, she already sounded like a caring and affectionate mother. Maybe there is also a good thing he adventured accompanied by someone.

The two then walked to a small village near the foot of the hill.

Alice was relieved, when from afar she saw the silhouette of someone. He immediately approached the man.

"Excuse me." Beware Alice, to the woman carrying the bucket.

The woman turned around and made Alice almost take a standby position due to her different appearance. What a slightly nostalgic look.

"Yes. What's up?" The woman asks.

At first glance Alice could feel the woman's gaze that felt like she was observing herself.

"I want to ask you about the nearest town from here?"

The woman hummed for a moment while glancing at Alice from the top of her head down. "You...are not residents here?"

"really. We came from.--"

The woman cut Alice's sentence by wagging her hand in front of her face. "not you. But only you. Yeah, I mean you." He said as he pointed his index finger at Alice.

"Me?"

"Yes. I feel something different from you. Like.you're not part of us."

So yeah...

It was likely that the person before him was not a human race as well as that place. Alice took her breath and looked at the woman seriously.

"Yes. Youre right. I'm a human being."
