Gorgeous Jewel
Chapter IV Chapter 132

The sound of knocking on the door awakened Helian from her daydream. "Come in." He shouted while tidying up the pile of paper on his desk.

A female servant slowly politely stepped into the room. He bowed a little and said. "Sorry Your Majesty. You have a guest. He said that he had made an appointment earlier to meet you."

Helian furrowed her brows asking. "Who?"

"I don't remember ever inviting someone." Her thought.

"I don't know which family he is from. But from his appearance, I see that he comes from one of the noble families." Obviously the waiter.

"alright. Take her to the lily garden, I'll be there soon."

"Your Majesty." The waiter bowed before leaving the room and went to deliver Helian's message to the guests.

After finishing a little business. Helian walked towards Lily flower garden. There he saw a golden yellow haired woman wearing a hat in an elegant-looking blue dress without ever having the sparkling trinkets that adorned her.

"He does look like a noble" Helian said.

The short-sleeved blue dress was so in tune with her charming bright white skin. Although it looks simple, but its appearance is so eye-catching and satisfying. Simply pamper the eyes and do not make people bored to look at it.

The woman sat down while sipping a cup of tea quietly. His movements and position were graceful and gentle. Her hair that glistened with the reflection of the sun really likened her to a beautiful painting of a noble woman enjoying her tea time.

"Have I ever known a noblewoman like her?"

Helian looked at him questioningly. He had attended many parties from every high elf noble house in his kingdom, but he did not remember having met a woman like him let alone to make an appointment.

Helian narrowed her eyes looking at the woman as she walked closer. His figure felt familiar but still Helian could not see his face clearly because it was blocked by his straw hat.

The woman stood up as she heard footsteps approaching her.

How shocked Helian was when the young lady turned around and showed her face.

"A-alice?!"

Alice smiled gently then she bowed slightly to greet Helian. "Greetings Your Majesty. Meet Alicia Lein Strongfort." His speech was formal with gentleness and courtesy.

Helian silently held her breath. Her graceful demeanor and every perfection of her movements truly reflected the person of a real noblewoman.

Helian cleared her throat then said. "Yes. Sit down."

As if understanding the intent and purpose of Alice's arrival, Helian ordered the servants behind her to leave them.

"You know, you're really running out of words. I think which noble is looking for me. You really look like a noble." She was amazed by Alice's appearance.

Alice laughed softly by putting her fan over her lips. "of course. I am a noble, after all."

"really? I thought you were just an ordinary wandering girl."

When entering the royal palace during the day so as not to attract attention and give a suspicious impression, Alice as much as possible looks like a noble girl from the high elf tribe. Because of her beautiful hair and face, people have no doubts when they see her.

After Helian sat down, Alice began to explain the purpose of her arrival.

"As I said back then, there were a few things I found out about the black crystal. And that's why I'm here soon to see Yggdrasil closer."

"Did you find any other clues?" Ask Helian.

"I'm sure that the entire black crystal grew and absorbed directly the energy from the tree."

Helian had already guessed the possibility of it being an old rhyme. As the spread of the black crystal grew more active, an uneasy feeling of the Mana energy enveloping Yggdrasil appeared and grew stronger and stronger, making him even more suspicious.

"They're like they're bound by something from the ground."

"Yes, most likely it is the root of the Yggdrasil tree. Besides, did you find any other clues?"

Alice knew they were being watched. A waiter? Nope. Is that Helian's shadow guard? It's probable. Even so Alice chose not to reveal what she was going to tell Helian next in that situation.

Helian did not understand why Alice immediately wanted to end their conversation here. "alright. Follow me."

The two of them stood up and headed towards Yggdrasil.

The Yggdrasil tree was under the strict guard of the great warriors of the elf kingdom and the guard had been further tightened ever since the black crystal appeared. It is not far from the royal palace. The residents could see it from a distance due to its enormous size.

Every now and then in a month, the royal family would pave the way so that the citizens could stand closer under the shade of the Yggdrasil tree to get blessings from it. But since the appearance of the black crystal, in order to protect the Yggdrasil tree, Helian decided to close it and from six months ago to the present. The residents never again touched or felt the coolness of the energy gathered right under the tree.

Alice can actually come to the tree without needing to ask permission from Helian. But according to Alice, it would be best if he did not act rashly.

As they walked, Alice still felt the presence of the person watching them while in the park. That guy was still following them, he was quite close. It was possible that he used something to make him hide behind the shade of the trees.

"Is he your bodyguard?" Alice asked suddenly.

Helian tilted her head in displeasure. "Hmm? Who do you mean?"

"Don't turn around just keep acting like usual." Alice said as soon as she heard Helian's reply.

Helian was shocked because Alice suddenly forbade her to turn her head. "W-w...Alright"

"I think he's your man, that's why I don't care about him."

"When did he follow us?" Helian looks upset. Even in his own palace someone infiltrated a spy to monitor his movements. "I can't feel his presence. He must have used runes to hide himself."

"Rune huh?"

"The specially made runes are limited only to the palace's shadow guards, are there traitors within that army?" Helian murmured in his heart. Then he glanced at Alice with a questionable look. "How strong Alice really is to the point of feeling the presence of those spies that even I myself am not aware of. The ability of the rune was not even in doubt, because thanks to it I and my soldiers had killed several people from the deemon race in the past."

Before long they walked, they crossed paths with Daeron.

"Helian. Where are you going?" Ask Daeron.

"I want to see the Yggdrasil tree."

Alice and Daeron meet for a glance. "He's this..."

Alice leaned over to greet Daeron. "Greetings Your Majesty. I'm Alicia Lein Strongfort."

"Strongfort?" Daeron had yet to take his eyes off Alice. He continued to ask. "Today I heard the name Strongfort. If you may know, the lady is from a family in what part of the country?"

"My family is not very famous, but just a simple high elf family. We're from the south."

"Hmm.. south." Daeron put his index finger and thumb under his chin while thinking. "Southern area is not so good. Most high elf families who were there chose to go and sell their territory to live in other big cities. Well.is he a family that chooses to stay and stay." Her thought.

Daeron looked at Helian. "But Helian, are you sure to bring others with you to visit Yggdrasil?"

"Miss Alicia is an old friend of mine. I trust him. His coming all the way here was to see the Yggdrasil tree and expect blessings from it. Miss Alicia hopes to restore the well-being of her family." Helian.

Alice smiled in her heart. It was unexpected that Helian could perform so easily and directly follow the storyline that he made.

"alright. If that's your opinion. I hope Miss Alicia can get the blessings of the Yggdrasil tree for herself and her family." Daeron said with a smile.

"Thank you for your kindness, Your Majesty." Reply Alice.

"In that case, I will return to the palace." Daeron passed.

Helian and Alice again walked towards Yggdrasil and finally they arrived right under the big tree.
