In addition to the hyuman race and the demon race there are also the beast race and the elf race. Because of their shape that sometimes resembles humans. Thus, they can also be categorized as demi-humans whereas those that look like monsters with intelligence and consciousness are referred to as non-humanoids.
Within the demon race itself there were all kinds of tribes. For example the oni, ogre, imp, vampire and some other tribes. Their lives are not much different from humans who are also formed with many nations with different skin colors and body shapes. In addition to the demon race that there were many tribes, so did the elf race and the beast race. But among the four races, the ultimate power and dominance was held by the dragon race.
The number of dragons was small, even less than the inhabitants of the elf race. Even so they are very dangerous. Besides being blessed with an unusually strong physical strength, they also possess great magic abilities. The dragon race had a longer lifespan than the demon race and was slightly longer than the elf race. They are more likely to isolate themselves from the hustle and bustle of this world. Well you could say they were more arrogant than the elf race who always looked holy to themselves.
"Oh, by the way, me and Salvor belong to the tribe of oni." Davella. "Our tribe lives in the eastern state of the Arkham continent. We both decided to travel to enjoy this world." Further.
"Eh, didn't you say that time wanted to honeymoon with me and trade as well." Timpal Salvor but soon Davella glared at him sharply.
Salvor quickly turned around. With fear he corrected his words and confirmed Davella's statement.
"Then, do you know the legend about the hero?" Ask Alice.
"certain. Let me tell you. In this world there are several legends about heroes and each hero has his own time. But the most imprinted in our hearts the demon races are heroes born thousands of years ago. He is a man we fear but we admire as well. Perhaps the name among the hyuman race has not changed, that of the ancient hero." Bright Davella. Alice nodded her ass.
"The king of demons and heroes is like day and night. Every demon king is born and heroes are born. And actually the demon king was just a title for the demi-humans who had power over the others. For example, about five hundred years ago, several demon kings were born from each different race. Two from the demon race and the other two from the elf race and the beast race. When it comes to the dragon race, they also have someone with the title of demon king. But we don't know much about her because the woman who holds the title is not really a newborn demon lord at the time, but she is the right hand of the first demon king in the world."
"Can you tell me about the hero and the demon lord?"
While they were seriously telling stories, Echidna had already finished the food on her plate. He looked delighted and started glancing at Alice out of curiosity. Echidna sat closer to Alice and began to listen.
Davella took a glass of drink in front of her and gulped it down. "I don't mind. I love stories like that anyway."
Thousands of years ago the first time a demon king was born into this world and began to make his move, namely to rule the world in his grasp, that was when humans lost their spirit and began to despair because they could not stem the power of the demon races so great.
The only demon king of his time was very strong and was even able to influence his followers to make them stronger.
Goddess Gaia who guards Aria feels compassion for human suffering and decides to summon a soul from another world that she will designate as a hero.
"You mean, Goddess Gaia did not pass down her blessings on the people of this world but chose to summon souls from other worlds?" Alice asked to interrupt.
"Then, how's next?"
Davella postponed their conversation by raising her hand in front of Alice. He stood up and walked to the second floor. After a while, he returned with an old book in his hand. Davella sat down in front of Alice again and began to read the writing in the book.
No one knew where the hero came from as well as the demon king Typhon. They both seem to have been created.
With the power of the Goddess, the hero broke through the defense of the demon race army. The hero is so shining. His black hair and eyes were like they were glistening under the dim light. He brought hope to the hyuman race at the tip of his sword.
Day after day, like a soldier tirelessly. The hero continued to repel the demon army that controlled various regions until they finally returned to the Arkham continent.
It is said in the book, before the Arkham continent was sealed. It had a huge cliff so long that it stretched over the ocean and a canyon connecting the two continents, Regnum and Arkham. However, after defeating the demon lord, the hero used his power to sever that huge bridge and close the canyon as well so that the two became a vast sea that currently restricted both regions. Then with his magic the hero gives a barrier between the two. I don't know what the motive is until he imparts such a powerful seal.
"I haven't seen the extent of the ocean to the extent that it can make people unable to cross it." His mind as he recalled the rest of the ancient hero's soul consciousness that was currently within him.
"Oh. There's still something written here." Davella said as she nearly closed her book.
"I've seen the hero cry over the great tomb. He stuck his sword around the tomb and protected it with powerful magic. With the ability of my eyes, I could only catch a glimpse of it and when the magic was fully activated, then the place was like a solid steel cage of anything. I attacked him with swords and magic, but they had no effect at all."
"It looks like it's my grandfather's last record. Then there's just an old page whose letters have faded from age." Davella then closed the book.
"Is there no further continuation?" Alice asked, still curious. He felt there were still many gaps and question marks in the story.
"There is no. But if you're still curious, then you can go to town to find her. Go to the city of Ilium. It's not far from here, there's a big library. You can find out a lot of things there." Davella.
"Because it's night, you can stay over. My wife and I are traveling merchants. We are also former hunters. For a while we lived in this village because of the lack of supplies and also because this village near the city and other small dungeons that could be our income." Salvor.
Alice and Echidna then occupy the room that Davella has prepared. From behind the window, he looked at the night sky. Alice looked down and looked at Echidna who was sleeping beside her. Alice extended her hand and gently stroked Echidna's head.
"I miss you guys, but, looks like I'll be home a little longer." Mumbled.
