Gorgeous Jewel
Chapter IV Chapter 119

After handing over his leadership to Marzar and Kyrant. Echidna followed Alice flying towards the land of the Elves.

From the sky appeared a tree so large towering and other green trees that were so lush around the big tree. For the first time Alice returned to meet a rare sight. Trees that may be thousands or millions of years old.

"Are you sure you don't want to go home to see your grandparents? I can take my mom very quickly." Echidna asked who was sitting on the flying sword behind Alice.

For him to fly across the ocean was quite easy. The storm or the power of any seal might be able to block the other dragons but not with him possessing one of the Mana Heart fragments from Gloria the Great Dragon.

After all, Echidna was very curious to immediately meet her mother's family. He asked Alice the same question many times.

"There's something important I need to do." Reply Alice.

It was the last will of the disciple and the man who had once made him fall in love. But since she did not know the place, Alice had no other choice but to stop by the elven territory to ask.

"How about you, is it okay to leave your race like that? They've been waiting for you all this time."

Echidna shook her head. "Mm~. I just want to be with Mom. I no longer care about power or revenge. My mom is enough for me." Reply Echidna smiled sweetly showing a little bit of her little teeth.

How else would it be like that.

Alice lowered her flying height to enter the forest.

"The forest is so thick and foggy." Alice muttered as she had landed before the shady trees.

"If not wrong, this forest is called Lost Forest. This forest was like a special fortress belonging to the elves, even I had a little trouble breaking through it, so I used to sometimes just pass over it." Echidna.

"Calculating is part of the journey. It's good that we enjoy what's in there." Alice said, then she put her sword into her dimension ring.

With her strength now, whatever tree monster it was, Alice would have been able to handle it easily. After she resurrected her Mana Heart, Alice had trained her fire magic. At first it was a little difficult because he had been using Mana for a very long time, but after a long day of practice, Alice began to understand and little by little she began to be able to control Mana and use basic magic.

"The fireball I don't think will suffice with a tree of this size." Alice looked up as she walked in and saw the tree in front of her eyes. One tree could even make some people to shelter under it. So astounding.

"This place is so natural and quiet. The clean, cool air contrasts with the Swamp of Despair, the terrible swamp I've been to." Mumbled.

Basically the elves coexisted with the forest. It is natural that they still preserve the trees and animals in it. In addition, the magic they use is different from the magic that other people generally use. The Elves used magic through the nature spirits that were all around them.

"PLEASE...?Help me...! Kyaa! Ughhhh..."

Alice and Echidna stopped their footsteps when they heard the female scream. The two immediately ran towards the sound.

[O tree, listen to my cry. Sneak my enemies and bind them in your shackles.]

The tendrils from the trees around the monster crept quickly and snared the monster's legs until it stopped moving.

The girl sighed in relief while rubbing her sweaty forehead. Now just attack him or run away, he thought so. But in reality, those tendrils could not withstand the burst of flames from that monster called cockatrice.

"Yeah!" The girl screamed because of the heat of the flames flying towards her. It was fortunate that he managed to dodge in the final seconds before the cockatrice flames devoured him.

The girl fell down as she walked backwards with her legs shaking violently. He did not dare to look into the monster's eyes because of his ability, which made anyone who looked at him turn into stone.

"It-it's... Am I going to die here? Dad.mom... Brother.."

What did he see until he looked like that? Her thought. The girl turned around and saw a woman and a little girl standing firmly on a tree branch.

The girl suddenly realized that the two people were looking at each other with cockatrice. "No! You guys don't-" He was silent for a moment when the head and body of the cockatrice just fell down in front of his eyes.

"A, what's going on? This monster... Dead?" His mind was confused and surprised.

"What'sthis? The dragon? A lizard? Both are not, Hmph! Only a chick dares to be arrogant before this Queen." Said Echidna arrogantly while shaking her waist.

Alice then jumped down to approach the girl. He saw pointed ears with sparkling blue hair like diamonds with a beautiful face. "Is he an elf race? Heard that elf race is famous for its female beauty and male good looks? The ears too.. pointy." Alice thought while looking at the girl.

Likewise with the girl who was surprised when she saw two figures that should not be possible in the forest. Or rather on their land. "the gear... A human?! Are they really hyuman? But how can they be here?" Benak the girl who also looked at Alice and Echidna from the tip of the foot to the tip of the head.

"Are you okay?" Ask Alice.

"Y-yes. Thanks though. I survived your blessing." Reply to the girl.

"What monster is this?"

"Huh?! You guys beat him without knowing what monster this is?" The girl thought astonished. "Name Cockatrice. Maybe like a dragon joining a snake." The reply.

"God! What the dragon. To me he's just a little chicken." Typhoid Echidna. Feeling that his race was equated with that obscure monster, Echidna was slightly offended.

Alice extended her hand to help the girl stand up.

"Thank you." Her speech.

"I'm Alicia, you can call me Alice. And she's my daughter, Echidna."

"Eh, princess? He looks so young." Thought the girl in astonishment as she glanced at Echidna. The girl then immediately replied. "My name is Asiya."

After introducing each. The two walked back through the forest.

"By the way, why did you get here. I mean, a human being why would it exist on this land?" Ask Asiya.

"It's a long story, but my only purpose here is to visit someone's grave."

What Alice said was not wrong. His arrival did indeed want to make a pilgrimage to the place where his disciple breathed for the last time. He was also lucky enough to meet Asiya who guided him to get out of the forest.

"What are you doing here yourself? Isn't that dangerous enough considering that such a monster was roaming this forest?"

Asiya chuckled scratching one of her cheeks. "Well...I'm just practicing magic, but why is it that when I see a butterfly sparkling beautifully and follow it, I don't realize I've reached this forest." Evidently.

Alice glanced at Echidna and then saw the girl return. He shook his head while breathing. "One more person with the same nature."

The two continued walking while enjoying their conversation until they reached the great gate of the royal city of the elves.

Asiya turned around suddenly. "After coming out of the Lost Forest and passing through the Maple Wood Forest we finally arrived. Welcome to Moonshade City. The Royal City of the Elves." Welcome him cheerfully friendly.
