Chapter IV Chapter 125

"Mama, the fog is getting thicker." Echidna.

Alice, Echidna and Fee continue down the side of the river. Several times they had fought against the monsters that attacked them. After a long walk, the two of them entered the fog border of the Elf kingdom.

The strange fog that surrounded the elven kingdom as a barrier between their kingdom and the outside world.

"Lost Forest's. As the name implies, even I had trouble finding the gap and the center point of this strange formation. After releasing the consciousness of my soul, I knew that this mist was formed naturally with the help of the Yggdrasil tree which was strengthened by a magic circle of a great person." Alice muttered in her mind.

It was hard to believe that he was trapped in a magic formation. Was it because the setups of the Immortal technique formations were different from the magicians?

Alice once again unleashed her soul consciousness technique after walking some rare, but the results remained nil. "It's free. It was as if there was a wall that tightly closed the location from the center point of his magic circle."

Echidna looked a little agitated. He was not afraid, just that searching for that magic circle point was enough to make him die from boredom. "Why don't you let me do it." His grunts in his mind.

Echidna pursed her lips. "Humph! If by my power I can definitely eliminate this annoying fog with just one fan from my wing."

Alice turned to glance at her sour-faced daughter. He rubbed Echidna's head gently. "We must not destroy what is not ours. Remember that! This fog was one of the important defense systems for the elf race." He persuaded slowly, sounding reasonable in his ears, Echidna obediently obeyed.

"A little more. I can find him." Echidna nodded her head twice.

Fee also voiced Alice's statement with his idea. "Do you need my help. I can find it for you if you want. Of course with my Clairvoyance ability."

"No problem. I also want to learn the defense techniques of this Yggdrasil tree."

A little step for him to see a formation array this complex. Alice was definitely interested in breaking it.

They kept walking through the branches and trees. Occasionally they sometimes meet with wild animals or monsters that have the same fate as them.

Alice had marked the trunk of the tree every time she passed them. He also occasionally released Qi energy to detect the Mana changes occurring within that forest.

"I feel here. I felt something disturbing my Qi waves were coming from here." Clearly while observing the former trunk of an old tree that had been cut.

"As the saying goes, the best place to hide a tree is in the woods." He muttered while looking at the rest of the old tree trunk.

Alice extended her hand slowly, trying to grab the rest of the tree trunk. As his hand touched the side of the former piece of tree, a small white light passed through the corner of his eye.

"Man's son........Please......Salvage...... Elf country....." Suddenly a quiet voice sounded faintly into his head.

"Mama..? What's up?" Echidna was astonished to see Alice suddenly silently staring. Fee, who was sensitive when he saw the blank look from Alice's eyes, knew that something had just happened.

"Did you find anything?" Ask Fee.

Alice realized that she had just daydreamed without knowing. "Y-yes. I suddenly heard someone's voice. Did you hear that too?" Echidna and Fee shook their heads together.

Fee narrowed his eyes. Spontaneously he used his Clairvoyance to look around them, yet there was no one other than the three of them inside the forest. Well, the foursome with Nyx that sometimes pops up all of a sudden..

"I didn't find anything. Nothing could escape my eyes. Is it possible..." Fee looked back as if he was looking through thick fog. "Forget it, this forest is weird."

"Is that part of the magic-circle effect." Think Alice.

"I've seen it and there's nothing around us." Obviously Fee.

"alright. If it is like that." Alice and the others again walked past the rest of the tree.

Just a few steps from the rest of the tree. Alice stopped when she saw the green grass suddenly growing densely in front of her feet. "It...What's going on?" The grass was as tall as its calves, they grew to extend continuously forward as if making a path. "Is this... The way."

Justright. The clump grew and disappeared following their footsteps.

Their journey has become smoother. They continued to follow in the footsteps the grass was growing and finally they could see the bright light bias.

They managed to get out of the forest.

However, their journey was delayed once more as a transparent dome blocked their path to the valley Zhou Yun intended.

"There's nothing in there. A barren land with dead trees. I didn't even see a fresh green leaf growing in it." Said Fee who immediately used his ability.

Their journey stopped. Not knowing if Fee did see all of what was behind the dome but Alice had another premonition like there was something she really had to finish right there.

Echidna had lost enough of his patience, he did not want to wait long. He gathered his strength on his fists and then struck the protective dome very strongly.

Explosive power, sound, not even a single visible reaction impact from his attack. Echidna was upset and wanted to hit for the second time, but Alice spread her hands before Echidna.

"Stop, it's no use." Alice touched the transparent protector and felt it.

He was flowing his Qi. "These protectors put a damper on all attacks, no matter how powerful they may be." Alice decided to look at the situation around her.

Instead of searching the valley that Zhou Yun said, Alice instead found a wisp of black slime as they circled the dome.

"Subjecting. What's this?!" Echidna didn't even want to touch him. He used a wooden twig to touch the black slime.

"This black thing also emitted the same dark Mana energy as that black crystal." Added Alice.

Fee was suspicious of the moving slime. Once again he used Clairvoyance to see everything. "You could say it's a living being but it's not entirely alive." Answer Fee. Fee's eyes began to feel a little sore because of the use of Clairvoyance abilities that are too often.

"What does that mean?"

"When I use my Clairvoyance. I could see how dangerous the Aura emitted from this thing was. Not only is it corrosive, but it is also capable of damaging the minds of those who approach it." Obviously Fee.

Alice bathed the Qi in one of her hands into a sword, then slashed at the black object, but her attack did not make it split but just swayed like a jelly. "The sword Qi that was capable of splitting steel did not even work on him."

"From what I saw. Its dark mana had an effect similar to that of the black crystal. The dark Mana energy spreading from their bodies could make someone with low strength lose their control and go berserk. I think they're gonna be like those monsters.
