Chapter I Chapter 13

That night when Alice had just returned home from one of the other noble houses. He staggered alone to his room. Alic is drunk trying his best to stay stable and keep going even though his vision is not so clear. Occasionally he stopped and bowed because of nausea.

When Leon who was just finished with his regular practice at night was walking around the castle. He accidentally saw Alice squatting by the side of the wall. Leon immediately ran up to him "Miss Alicia?! What the hell's going on? Are you okay?" Panicking, Leon thinks Alice is hurt or in pain.

Alice raised her head and saw a man standing right in front of her face. "Hweeh?" Alice observed the man's face deepening even though her vision was shaded. "Handsome man~" Alice chuckled then grinned.

Leon's panicked gaze turned to astonishment with one of his eyebrows raised. "Miss Alicia?"

Alice balanced her body and tried to stand up. When he was just half standing, he suddenly lost his balance and fell. Leon quickly caught Alice. "No-miss?"

Alice who fell into Leon's arms raised her legs "Yey.I flew~" he said, straightening both hands forward.

"It looks like you're drunk miss."

Leon immediately lifted and fixed Alice's position to stand upright. "I'll take you to your room." Leon said then he with an unpleasant look and a flutter that resigned to reach Alice. "I hope he doesn't puke on me." Mind worried.

When she reached Alice's door. Leon let go of his hand "Alright, then I have to go, miss." Leon turned to leave, but Alice suddenly grabbed one of his hands. Sontak Leon stopped and looked back. The slightly red face and my eyes were staring at him. "Where are you going~?Just accompany me~" Her made-up voice to sound soft and seductive made Leon disgusted. He felt like his fur had just stood up for a moment.

"I'm sorry miss, but I have to go" said Leon trying to pull his hand but unfortunately Alice grasped it quite firmly.

"Eeeh~But I'm lonely~"

Leon breathed so long and patted his head. "I hate drunk women." Inner groan. "I'm sorry, but I have to go. Master just called me."

"My dad? Where's?"

Because there is no other way. Leon tricks Alice into leaving her "There, behind you?" Leon said as he pointed behind Alice.

When Alice turned around as she met no one behind her. Leon's presence was no longer in front of his eyes.

"Yes, that's it..." Alice who was still slightly staggering walked towards her bed. Without changing clothes or removing shoes. Alice just threw her body on the bed.

And such was his shameful tale while with Leon, the knight currently before him.

"Aaagghh..!!!" Inner scream. "I wanted to dig a hole and bury myself right away."

While enduring the embarrassment of this unexpected encounter. Alice tried to be mediocre.

"I think you already know who he is." Said Ernard standing next to Leon.

"Yes dad."

"He will be your personal knight from now on." It was obviously short and then he walked to the back of his desk.

Alice really could not help herself from protesting. But because it was his father's wish and it was indeed the best for him. Alice held her ego.

Alice faced Leon "Then, thank you for being my bodyguard." He said with a warm smile and a soft voice. Start a warm impression and eliminate any embarrassing experiences that have ever occurred.

Leon didn't budge for a moment. He looked at Alice flatly. Leon felt something was different but he didn't know what it was. "One thing pride can protect the missus." His reply was also courteously while bowing his head. The pride? Leon even tried to hide his uneasy feelings.

When everything is ready and so is Alice. A horse carriage and some suitcases were waiting. Alice looked at their faces as she drove her departure. The warm atmosphere was felt to the bottom of his heart.

"Miss don't forget to go home." Said a female servant as Alice walked up to them.

Alice smiled gently and laughed softly. "Why are you? I've only been gone for a year and I'm not going to another kingdom. It's just the capital." The reply was a little joking. Alice walked over to Hubert and Hilda.

"Uncle Hubert and Aunt Hilda. I already consider you guys as my family. Please take care of my mom and dad." His ink as he covers Hilda's hand.

"Well miss." Answer Hubert.

Alice then approached Liana and Ernard. He hugged his mother as if they would never see each other again. "Mom, take care of yourself."

"Yes dear. Don't forget to send a letter." Liana patted Alice's back slowly.

When he took off his embrace. Alice then said her farewell to Ernard. "Dad, I'll go first."

Ernard felt happy and proud, he hoped with this change of his daughter. Alice will get better and have a bright future. Ernard placed his hand on Alice's head and stroked her gently. "Take care of yourself and don't worry us anymore especially your mother."

"Yes, Dad."

Alice turned to walk to her carriage accompanied by a wave of maidservants who were so close to her after she woke up from a coma and began to change. As he had just taken a step on the small stairs on that horse carriage. He heard the sound and the gasping breath of a servant girl.

Alice smiled, she knew who the girl who ran with great difficulty was. "No..miss...!" call Mary with ungodly breath. "Ma.sorry me. If I may want to come with you." After he fixed his breath.

" Of course."

"How long are we going to get there?",

" About 1 day, miss."

Alice and Mary sat together in a horse-drawn carriage while Leon followed them on horseback.

When the journey is long enough and the day is late. They stopped and camped to rest. " We'll continue our journey when dawn comes." He said, then he got off the horse and checked Alice in the carriage. "Miss. We're going camping here. Are you okay?"

Although uncomfortable and sometimes awkward after the incident that night. As a knight, Leon still had to carry out orders from his master to protect Alice.

Alice closed the book she read and replied Leon "Yes. I'm fine." Alice then saw Mary who was asleep sitting while leaning on the side of the carriage. Alice patted her arm softly "Mary. Awake." Mary slowly opened her eyes and saw Alice right in her face. "Hmm, No.Missy? Miss?!" Soon he was wide-eyed and shocked to find out his mistake. "Pardon me. I'm asleep. I'm..."

"It's okay, it's your first trip anyway, right?"

Mary got up from her chair after she had tidied up her hair and clothes. "Then I will immediately prepare dinner for us." Then Mary went downstairs and picked up some utensils and cooking ingredients.

In the middle of a dark forest, make friends with a campfire as a lighting. Alice and the others enjoyed their simple dinner.

After dinner is over. Leon decided to keep watch. He leaned his body against a tree while on standby. Meanwhile the coachman and Mary began to prepare a bed for them to sleep on.

"Mary, you don't have to sleep outside. This chair is large enough to fill the body. Come inside."

Mary who had become accustomed to Alice's invitation no longer denied or refused. He knew that Alice would still invite him even if he refused. "Thank you, miss." Mary smiled and got into the car.

Alice gestured with her hand to let Mary sleep in an empty chair in front of her.

The night is getting darker and the sound of crickets is getting clearer. With Leon's alert attitude, Alice did not need to worry too much about a surprise attack. It's just..."I think we've got quite a lot of guests tonight." He smiled with a cold look.
