After walking through the swamp. Alice and Fee return to fight the undead type monsters. Undead, ghouls and skeletons came and attacked them. The monsters are weak monsters. In addition to their number and resistance to attacks because they were the undead type that would not die despite losing hands and feet. Of course in the eyes of the two, the monster looked like a small pebble. With Fee's earthy fire scorching them or Alice's ice freezing them, the two make it through the swamp to a cave.
"Is this cave a dungeon?" Ask Alice.
"Hmm.I guess not. I didn't see any energy waves that a dungeon should have and the monsters inside didn't amount to much either." Reply Fee.
"Have you been here before?" Ask Alice again because Fee once said that he had passed this place.
"No. I also don't remember ever having a cave here." The last time he lived in this place was about a decade ago. Fee thinks something could have happened that made this cave appear. After all, the scenery in the swamp had changed a lot from what he felt.
Alice looked left and right, on each side of them were just dense dark trees and there were so many thorny bushes in between. If they were to force it, perhaps both of them could break through that barrier. But it will certainly waste a lot of energy to destroy the trees and bushes.
Other than the cave before them, there was no other way visible from the sight of the two. "Let's go in." Alice decides to enter a strange cave in the middle of a swamp of despair.
The view inside the cave looked a little different from what was out there. Apparently the cave is an old mine that looks like it has been abandoned.
As they walked, Alice saw some tunnels that could not be passed or buried by the cave ruins. The place looked rather dark because of the minimal light. On the walls of the cave there were only the attached rocks that were twinklingly shining down their path.
"Eve in this place is better than out there." Fee said as he jumped down following Alice.
Alice looked back. "Yes. Youre right. Although this mine has been abandoned, but the positive aura here is far more than in the swamp."
It was in accordance with how Alice felt. The old mine did not see a single undead monster like they had found in the swamp before. Even if they encounter monsters, Alice and Fee only see a large mole rat or a few small lizards with their backs hardened by layers of rock-like skin. According to the monster notebook he bought from the hunter guild, the two monsters were named Claw Mole and Stone Lizard.
Claw mole is a type of monster that is not as dangerous as a wild rabbit. They will attack only when they are threatened. While the stone lizard was a little more aggressive but with that slow movement, Alice and Fee found no difficulty in defeating the monster.
The two continued down until when Alice looked back and raised her head, she realized that the cave they entered was very deep. "Did they dig it down here. The energy turnover in this place is very stable than the swamp above. Perhaps it was because of the crystal stones that contained that energy. But...why was this place just abandoned?" Alice asked herself.
Well, come to think of it is really futile if a mine cave in which there are still valuable rocks that can be sold is left behind. A bit of a bad feeling crossed his mind. Alice began to think that something was causing people to leave the place. Like forcing them not to go back to that mine again.
"Alice. I felt a strong energy from up ahead." Nyx suddenly appeared and pointed towards their front. A tunnel was dark and there was a small former train line on the ground. Cold air was also felt blowing from inside the tunnel and there was a gurgling of water.
Fee activates her clairvoyance after hearing Nyx. He went through the tunnel with his eyes and saw a large lake.
"Is there anything else?" Ask Alice.
Inwardly, Alice is amazed by Nyx's sense of taste and Fee's clairvoyance abilities. With his current cultivation level. Although Alice tried it, she could only shake her head because her soul consciousness had not been able to reach that place.
"Nothing is suspicious, but in the corner of the lake there's another little tunnel." Answer Fee while focusing on using her abilities. "Let me see again." Fee tried to navigate the tunnel. He only finds a straight path that is devoid of light and therefore, Fee stops his clairvoyance.
Fee blinked her slightly poignant eyes. He forced his ability too much. Actually, Fee's clairvoyance ability is very useful. However, that ability has a disadvantage that the amount of Mana consumed depends on the subject he sees. The past, the future, the existence even until he could see the hidden soul that existed within a person. But to see the Soul as well as one's past and future. Fee would naturally have to sacrifice so much of his Mana. Therefore, Fee never thought of using it again after the last time he saw his own future.
After telling Alice about this, Nyx disappeared back into the sea of Alice's consciousness.
Just a few steps from the tunnel in front of him, suddenly a small mouse the size of a human child stopped him. More precisely was a human beast from a race of ferocious beasts. "You people! Stop...!" The little mouse spread out his hands to the side to stop Alice and Fee.
"Hmm...?" Alice lowered her head looking at the rat. He narrowed his eyes scrutinizing the creature in front of him closely.
"You can't go there! It's dangerous in there. There are ferocious monsters. You'll die if you go in there." The little mouse pointedly admonished Alice as she swung her hand describing how big and how dangerous something was behind the tunnel.
Alice and Fee stared at each other for a moment. They had learned that there was something powerful behind the tunnel. But they don't know about the danger of not being something.
The little mouse moved forward until he placed both hands on Alice's stomach and pushed her.
His behavior is so funny. Alice chuckled at the expression of the little mouse who was struggling from trying to push her.
"Anyways, you guys don't go in. ughh.. stay away, you guys, ughh have to go." Said the little mouse while pushing hard the real Alice not moving an inch from her place. The little mouse stopped and regulated his wheezing breath.
Alice patted the little mouse's head gently. "Just calm. We are strong. You, cute little mice don't worry." Reply softly to Alice with a sweet and soft voice.
The little mouse was irritated and pouted. He brushed off Alice's hand that was stuck to his head. He felt being played by the deemon in front of him. Wh why? Even though he was an adult, why did they play tricks on him as if he was a child.
"Te-whatever you are! I don't want to know! Hmph! Go if you want to die." Keto. Her face was slightly flushed with annoyance But Alice once again chuckled and smiled looking at the disbelief of the little mouse's behavior.
"wait. We must have defeated that ferocious monster." Alice said, and the two passed by not heeding the words of the little mouse.
