Chapter IV Chapter 155

Three days later...

After the instructors of the academy distributed their respective groups of disciples, they set out for the dungeon which they would use as a place to train them as well as see the development of the disciples to what extent they could fight in the face of real monsters.

In the process of teaching at the academy, the instructor usually only used an earth golem that was given a rune with simple commands that was to attack and defend. As for their agility, their dexterity or intelligence was extremely low. They are just large chunks of rock that seem alive.

Upon arrival at the dungeon, the instructors along with the three groups they each led entered the dungeon in turns.

Twenty-five students and they moved in turns with one instructor watching them. Their target was only to conquer the 3rd floor. The dungeon itself has eight floors.

To date no one has ever opened the door at the end of the room on the eighth floor. Elf warriors, as well as sorcerers were only able to break through to the 6th floor alone. They argue that the 7th floor has a different level of difficulty especially the 8th floor.

"Lantas... Where can they map to the 8th floor?" Elysia asked Helian while tilting her head.

Helian lifted both shoulders. "Eitherway. The map itself was the legacy of the royal family given to the academy. Hmm.. he said there used to be a powerful elf race that exceeded even the highelfs. But they're extinct. According to historical records, their production capabilities are much worse than highelfs, although in fact their life force is much longer."

Elysia nodded her head more or less understanding with Helian's explanation. "Hooohs...Ah, they're done. Now it's our group's turn."

"Are you ready?" Ask their instructors who are standing at the front row.

""Ready"" answered the disciples.

"All right, then we're in. Janga forgot the formation I taught you."

""Good ma'am."" Answer the students.

Following the female instructor, Elysia's group entered the dungeon.

The empty and damp cave passageway. Helian and Elysia were not so surprised that they had entered it a few days ago. The other disciples glanced at the entire room. Well, not all of them have ever set foot in such a dangerous place.

"Aunty's amazing sight was still imprinted on my head as she fought those monsters alone." Helian said dumbstruck with sparkling eyes staring at Elysia.

Elysia laughed proudly she puffed her chest slightly. "Of course, she's my mother."

Helian concluded her palms and said, "I wish I could be like her later." He then leaned over and pointed at a pendant that was on Elysia's waist. "Hey Ely, from earlier I was curious about the pendant hanging on your waist. What is this?"

A green jade pendant caught Helian's attention. The shape was ordinary but it looked like a valuable item and only this time he saw a pendant like that.

"It's my mother's gift. He said it as a talisman to protect me in case there was any danger later."

Helian looks like she's hoping for the locket. " Ah~ makes me envious. I think I want one too." His words stared at Elysia with clear eyes.

As they chatted, the monsters had started to reappear. Such a dungeon, as long as the core was not destroyed, then the Mana energy would still flow throughout the place which would create monsters back to life.

Immediately, Evelyn, their instructor gave instructions to be on standby and set up positions.

Two swordsmen who stood at the front line, two archers standing behind them and two mages who were at the very back line as well as a healer as well as a supporter in the middle of the formation.

An earth Rat with a thigh-high size appeared before them. It is known as Ruin Rat. Although it has the appearance of a rodent but the monster is able to walk with both feet. The movements were not so nimble, they attacked with their sharp claws and teeth.

Moments later, another jelly-like black monster appeared. Both types of monsters then attacked them.

Ruin Rat and Black Slime continued to appear one by one. Evelyn watched the well-coordinated fight of her students. He nodded happily and proudly. "preserve. Don't let your guard down." He reminded the disciples not to lower their guard.

Upon arriving at the end of the hall, they went down the stairs to the next floor.

The monsters occupying the second floor were slightly stronger, especially their resilience. A large bird named Rock Bird with a hard beak and a Golem Knight who had sturdy endurance.

"Elysia, down!" Helian fired a magic bullet after she tied up the movements of the Golem and the Rock Bird with a thorny tendril.

Less powerful, the two elves named Reiss and Maya who use arrows launch their arrows which are layered in wind magic.

They smiled broadly as the arrow managed to injure the two monsters.

"It looks like my sword attack wasn't so powerful as to defeat them." Elysia saw the sword she was holding. He remembered that his mother slashed them so easily. "I'm still not strong. I need more practice, so I can protect you later, too." Inner muttering.

Because she was weak she lost her mother. For the second time, she did not want to lose Alice whom she already considered a mother. The figure he loved, Elysia no longer wanted to see the corpse of her mother lying helpless.

Reiss and Maya continue shooting arrows as Elysia and Yester hold them with their swords. Do not forget the help of supporting magic that gives power to them and the other two magicians who bombard with their water and wind element magic abilities.

After knowing the weaknesses of the two monsters, Evelyn's squad managed to smoothly make it to the third floor.

Unlike the previous two floors, the monsters on the 3rd floor were of three different types. Venomousch, a poisonous frog capable of firing poison within a radius of two meters. The Dark Mushroom made a black mist to cover their gaze and another one, the Stone Warrior, the same monster as the Golem Knight but complete with a sword and shield. The movement was also a little faster which made them even more overwhelmed against the three combined monsters.

Not to be outdone Glee also showed her ability. [O water spirit is my contract. Destroy my enemy's shield with your wave of water. Water jet]

Thanks to Aili who swiftly cast wind magic, the black fog that blocked their view vanished. Also water magic from Glee that makes Dark Mushroom and Venomousch slammed into the back.

"Good work Aili, Glee. Now it's my turn. [Spirit of Nature, Calling of Earth] [Spirit of Earth, Rock Needle] [Earthen Spikes]"

After using both natural magic and earth magic simultaneously, those Stone Warriors were finally pushed back. Their shields even started to break.

Aili and Glee looked at Helian with admiring gazes. Just now Helian was using magic without any slap, even her magic power was also stronger than hers. No doubt for a highelf elf. But Aili and Glee are not discouraged, they are motivated to become more powerful witches.

From the view of the people, Helian was amazing because she was a highelf. But the real truth that not many people know is that Helian was chosen by the Yggdrasil tree. And because of that, he can use natural magic, which only certain people can use.

The Stone Warrior had weakened, the fog had disappeared from their sight. Reiss, Maya immediately fires her arrows to kill the Venomouschs.

Because of Aili's wind shield and Glee's water jet, the frogs had trouble getting close. They could not even dodge the arrows that shot towards them.

"Yes!" Elysia jumped forward and slashed at the mushroom monster. Not wanting to miss, Yester also attacked.

Everyone finally started to get exhausted after they fought against those monsters. Their breathing was wheezing and the Mana energy in their bodies was already thinning.

"God! The remaining three Stone Warriors huh?" Yester said, then he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

Yester ran swinging his burning sword at the monster. He doesn't expect to be able to slash it but Yester gives Reiss and Maya a chance to shoot so they don't miss.

"Close!" Shouted Maya then he released his arrows and pierced through the Stone Warrior's head.

Evelyn was truly proud of her student's achievements. They far exceeded his expectations. Evelyn clapped her hand once firmly. "good. You're terrific. I am so impressed with your abilities. Although this is your first time, but your cooperation and use of your abilities is really well planned."

Helian breathed her leg. "This is also thanks to Aunt Alice's instructions. But I was amazed by the power of my aunt at that time. He was able to fight those monsters alone until we passed the 4th floor. How strong is Aunt Alice?" Helian asked in her mind.
