Seeing the presence of the woman, Iris undoes her intention to tell her parents about Alice's whereabouts.
"Oh, Iris. What's the need to come here?" Liana reprimanded him as she saw Iris come in and stand in front of the door.
"No ma'am. I just wanted to say something but it looks like you're having guests. Maybe, I'll say it next time." Iris lifted the bottom of her dress, not forgetting that she smiled at the lady guest even though her heart was so reluctant to do so.
Before he stepped outside of the room, Iris whispered something to the female servant standing nearby.
"I want you to listen to them well and tell me what they're talking about." The waiter answered with a nod.
After waiting a long time in his room. Iris who was sitting at her study table turned to face the door as she heard the sound of knocking.
"Come in."
She was the maid who had previously listened to the Duke and Duchess's conversation with her guests. The waiter bowed for a moment then he walked slowly and stood in front of Iris.
"What are they talking about?"
"They're talking about exterminating monsters."
"The monster? Then what else?" Iris narrowed her eyes. He wondered in his mind what was going on. "When did they move? Did the magic tower miss this information?"
"The lady wanted to ask Master for help to send out her troops and eradicate the monsters that were moving in some territory." The strength of the troops educated under the Strongfort family was certainly beyond doubt.
Is this incident related to the demon race as well? Who else if not those who always mess things up.
"What did my father and mother say?"
"They agreed to it."
Iris clenched her teeth. He clenched his hand as hard as he could. "That woman...!!"
"Where is he now?"
The servant got scared when he saw Iris who was angry. He looked down and did not dare to raise his head. "S-at this moment the Master and Madam are ushering in his departure."
Iris turned her eyes away. He looked out the window thinking of something. Then he stood up and approached the servant.
"I want you to catch up with them immediately and tell the woman that I want to see her. Tell me it has something to do with my brother."
"Bright Miss." The waiter bowed and passed. He breathed a sigh of relief as he walked out of his room. Just this time he saw her so angry.
After Claire discussed her request, she left Strongfort's residence. He turned to smile at the Duke and Duchess standing at the door.
"Mrs..." A man in white clothes who was almost the same as him, came over and said. "I got a message from a waiter that Miss Iris wants to see you." Further.
Claire raised one of her hands. "No. We don't have much time. I'll send him an apology later."
The man looked worried. He remembered what the maid had said next. When the servant mentioned Alice's name, shame seemed to attract her and make her aware of their sins as a temple attendant and a follower of the Goddess.
"But Madam, he said that it had something to do with Miss Alicia."
Claire's steps to climb the steps of her horse carriage stopped instantly. He turned to look at the man with both eyebrows raised. "Miss Alicia?.... Alright. We'll meet him."
Not far from Strongfort's home. Claire's horse-drawn carriage stopped on the side of the road with vacant land nearby. He saw the black haired girl shaking her waist looking at him.
Claire came down and approached him. "Good Afternoon Miss Iris."
Iris did not answer the greeting, instead she looked at Claire so cynically. "Just go. I want to make a deal with you." Her tone sounded a little disrespectful, even so Claire didn't care much about it. His arrival just wanted to clarify the intent of Iris who wanted to meet him.
"What kind of deal is that? I heard that you wanted to see me because this has something to do with Miss Alicia."
Iris folded her hands in front of her chest. He walked one step closer. "really. But before we talk about my brother. How about you listen to me first."
"All right." Claire's stern look became serious. Again, it wasn't the word of agreement that caught his attention but Alicia was the one who made him that way.
Alicia Lein Strongfort was a savior and a disgrace to them. Because of his negligence that made the girl disappear and until now unknown whereabouts.
Claire was really ashamed of the Strongfort family. Even as she came at them earlier, Claire bit her lip before she opened the door to stare at the faces of Alice's parents.
"I will participate in the extermination. With my strength, I'm sure I can make it easier for you."
"You're right. We really need the power of a level 5 mage. But..." Claire hesitated. It's not that he didn't want Iris' offer. Precisely the figure of a level 5 mage would make a great contribution. But given that she is the daughter of a Strongfort. Claire had to ask the Duke and Duchess' opinion first.
Looking at the anxiety emitted by Claire's eyes, Iris added "There's no need to worry about my father and mother. I'll take care of that."
Claire took her breath. "Alright if Miss Iris says so. What do you want as a result of this deal?"
Without further ado, Iris bluntly. "I want you to tell me everything about what happened to my brother before he disappeared. I'm sure you're still hiding something. Even if you apologize to my father and mother, I have not forgiven you before ascertaining the truth. Cliff or whatever, I've found out a little bit about you guys but I'm looking around anyway. The information about that day was sealed so tightly, that even the lower-class temple officials dared to ignore my threat." Iris clicked her tongue. He recalled the fearful expression of the temple administrators back then. One more magic attack then his life has been floated but the manager still does not want to open his mouth. Iris was really irritated. He just left her because there was nothing he could scratch.
Claire was silent for a long time. It is true what Iris said. When he came to apologize to Strongfort's family. Claire D'Orleans as the Temple Head did not tell about the prophecy and the true purpose of Cliff's actions.
Claire herself only heard stories about Alice who was as strong as she could fight against Cliff. As for the prophecy, Claire could deduce that Cliff's deviant behavior must be someone related behind it. Attempts of murder, kidnapping and cooperation with the demon race. Claire told the Duke and Duchess Strongfort.
"Is it so hard to say. Do you Temple people think you can just do something in the name of the Goddess and virtue?" Iris became more and more agitated. He was in a hurry and his tone was rising. "My aircrafts! My brother! I wonder what you've been hiding by targeting my brother all this time?!"
Claire's stunned. His tongue began to move. Though the only one who knew about the actions of the Temple watching Alice was the Duke, the girl in front of him had already known it to that extent.
